This VW Ragtop is an exceptional example of a quality built classic. This little beetle spent its life in California before it came to Boise which is the reason why it's such a solid rust free car. No expense was spared by the previous owner when he had the entire beetle restored and rebuilt. Thousands of dollars were invested into making this little ragtop one of a kind! There was over 10k alone in just paint and body work! The platform of this beetle sports a solid 70' pan with an adjustable air front end. A 2110cc engine with dual carbs was installed to give this little beetle the power and stamina to keep up with current vehicles on the road. Then transferring the power to the ground is a Freeway Flyer transmission allowing the beetle to cruise on highways and freeways without the risk of damaging the engine from long periods of high RPM's. It has a custom weave style beige interior installed with custom orange bead piping that matches the exterior color, new tan canvas material on ragtop, one piece side windows, cal-style rubber window seals, solid aluminum running boards, and 15" chrome VW steel wheels with true 3 1/2" wide white wall Firestone tires.This beetle is a great driver that you will enjoy with each drive. Be prepared to turn heads everywhere you go and get tons of thumbs up. Recent maintenance items that I had done in the past several months include brake pads, flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. Deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of listing closing. The remaining amount is due within 7 days of listing closing. Payments must be made through Wire/Funds transfer secured by bank. WOW!!!! You will be hard pressed to find a more solid ragtop with as much to offer as this one for this low reserve! This 62 Ragtop has been used as a daily driver. The motor is a 1641 dual port with only about 700 miles since it was rebuilt. It has been lowered with a 4" narrowed, adjustable beam. It drives down the road great and is as tight of a bug as I have ever driven. It shifts tight, does not popout of gear and has a short shift kit. Steering is tight and does not wonder all over the road like most lowered bugs. The car has new tires, a very cool louvered deck lid and cool new floor console. The ragtop is a factory original and slides great and the top is like new. It has a very nice stereo, with rear package tray speakers and very nice kick panels with speakers. The installation is a professional one. There is a very cool knob on the dash that I have never seen before in a VW, and I am assuming that it went with a former older radio install???? Pretty cool I think! The heater works, as well as the defrost! All lights work. Heater channels are great and so are the floors. There is no rust known on the car. New door seals have been installed. Front and rear aprons are great as well. The original color was a light yellow. I can not stress how drivable and solid this ragtop is. Fly in and drive home! You won't be disappointed! The car is being sold AS IS. You are welcome to see the car in person, or have someone look for you, PRIOR to bidding, as your opinion could vary. Get ready for fun! Keeps up with traffic, driven in rush hour, adorable. Great for be-bopping around town. Easy to open, issue free factory “Roll-Back” sliding sunroof in excellent condition and mechanism works smoothly. Installed luggage rack and under dash parcel storage shelf. A very clean and mostly original Ragtop that is located in California, where it has been throughout life. Painted the hard to find VW Anthracite color and taken down to bare metal when professionally sprayed. Interior is clean, nice and needs nothing. After-market radio in glove box with speakers and amp in cubby – plug in iPod, etc. 1641 cc dual port motor rebuilt approx 4,500 miles ago. Recent new Bosch starter, battery, Pertronix electronic ignition (wow, what an improvement!), valve cover gaskets and adjustment, distributor cap & rotor, NGK plugs, oil change (with filter) and tune up. Stock carburetor. Horn works. The electrical system has been converted to 12V. Systems checked as working well: shocks, clutch, brakes, lights. No signs of rust; no prior repairs. Good newer tires on straight, stock rims. Odometer reads 81K. It runs very sweet; a delightful driver. It runs and drives perfect on freeway and in town driving. LOW BALLERS need not respond/apply

1962 Volkswagon Ragtop beetle with strong 1970 B6 1600 dual relief single port engine. Trans is 1970 model also. Car has been converted to 12 volt. Radio is included but not wired in. New clutch and throw out bearing, new main rear seal, all tins around engine and rubber seal, clean gas tank with fuel filter, compression is good on all 4 cylinders, motor does not burn oil (It leaks a little, but doesn't burn it !) new battery, new steering box and steering bushing. All new brake system and Wolfsburg brake drums. All new Coker wide whitewall tires including spare. New wiper blades . New rear axle boots. Everything works ,including wipers all lights and signals work including engine warning lights. Washer bottle is not hooked up and as said earlier radio is not hooked up. All correct body parts are on car, missing some trim. Car runs strong, starts easily and drives well. Pans are decent for a northern car, heater channels need replaced, car needs 1 rear bumper support replaced, looks like it was damaged from previous owner. Two VW bumper supports are included for replacement. Battery tray has been repaired . there is some rust on fenders and body, nothing severe. Front seats have replacement covers, but they are not sewn or clipped on. New moon hubcaps are on car with one new spare. Included in spare parts are OG V Dub moons. Car needs complete interior upholstery . Ragtop works nicely and seals up well. Speedometer has been replaced, shows 4346 miles. Original title lists mileage as 102,702. Car was in storage from 1994 to 2014, when I purchased car and got it running and on the road. We consider it a daily driver and have put about 1500 miles on it since we bought it. Mechanically sound car, you could drive this home. 1600 cc motor sure helps with power! There are several extra parts included with purchase.
