This Beetle is in OK condition. I purchased on ebay a few weeks ago from a self proclaimed VW expert, not in my opinion. The paint is great from 20 feet away, but in reality it looks like a 10 year old painted it. The interior which was refurbished with new headliner, seat material, carpet, door panels (cards) for my friends in the UK. looks reasonably acceptable with the exception of poor workmanship. New cd stereo and new chrome bumpers, new running boards, new window rubber seals, new front window felts, scrapers and vent wing seals. The engine is 1835cc. I installed a new distributor cap and rotor and air cleaner also repaired the "B+" to the alternator (it was typical work for the previous owner). The license plate light power is gone and needs to be re-wired. The heating system has been removed (wish I knew that before I bought it) and can be restored with available parts. The brakes work well and the car shifts good, the handling is ambiguous. The tires have plenty of tread. The car was originally green. I've always wanted a Beetle and when I retired I bought one, except I bought the wrong one and I'm not interested in spending all my time working on it. As far as my critique on shifting, handling, etc. I have nothing to compare it with since I've never drove one except in high school. I have the original owners manual and one (1) set of keys. Unlike some people I've tried to be honest and will answer questions to the best of my ability. NOTE: Since this car is over 10 years old I can say anything I want and it will not be covered by ebay vehicle protection unless the car is stolen or can't be titled. The title is clean and I was robbed. Any ridiculous low ball offers will not receive a counter offer. Deposit by Paypal is fine, balance will be by cashiers check.

Restored 1966 Volkswagen BugHere we have for sale a nice restored 1966 Volkswagen bug. This is a gorgeous bug that has been all gone through, from new paint, new interior, new engine, and new rubber. It is a great bug that is fun and reliable to drive. You can't get more reliable then a brand new 1600cc single port with a new Solex carburetor and 12v electrical system. The bug has a complete brand new interior, everything is new from the seat covers, door panels, carpet and floor mats. The headliner was installed from a professional upholstery shop. The rubber mats match what this bug would have in it stock from the factory. The steering wheel was painted and a brand new German turn signal switch was put on the car. The window rubber is brand new and same is the trim. The window rubber was installed by a professional window installation company who does it properly and glues the rubber so their are no leaks. The bumpers are brand new euro style bumpers. The fenders are all new replacement fenders. The front turn signals are the early peanut style blinkers that are brand new too. The tail light lenses are new. All of the chrome body trim is new. The roof rack is a genuine Volskwagen bug rack from the 60's. It's a very rare and hard to find rack that I had chromed and it looks awesome on top of the bug. It is not a reproduction, but a true accessory from back in the day. The engine is a newly built 1600cc single port engine that runs perfect and drives amazing. The engine purs like a kitten and sounds nice. The engine tin is all new and has been painted. The electrical system has been upgraded to 12v and an alternator. The carburetor is new and same as the distributor and coil. The transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch was replaced when the engine was built. The wheels are new chrome wide Porsche style rims with new chrome VW hubcaps. The brakes have all be gone through and the bug stops firmly and quickly. The headlights and both front and rear turn signals all work. The brake lights and dome light inside works. The horn and windshield wipers don't work though. I'm guessing they were not converted to 12v. The bug also has brand new running boards and stainless trim on the body too. There is some rust in the heater channels both in the front and back and some repairs to the floor in the back on both sides. The paint is new on the car but is does have some chips and scratches in it. There is also some minor dings in the body here and there. It's a nice quality driver bugs that you could go to shows with. It's not a perfect restoration but it looks good and would be perfect for the guy or girl who wants a nice clean driver bug. Up for auction is my classic custom 1965 Volkswagen Bug with a freshly rebuilt 1200cc motor w/chrome accessories, billet pulley and billet valve covers. Transmission shifts great. Bug was professionally by Mike at JerFab in Upland, California. New drop spindles, new JerFab narrowed adjustable front beam, new 4" JerFab rear drop plates & new shocks. New tires front & rear. Also had new floor pans welded in on both sides. All new German made rubber seals on both doors, door windows & vent windows, tail lights. I have the seals for the trunk & engine hood but havent put them on yet. New carpet and pad kit, floor pans were undercoated and than I laid Dynamat sound deadening on them. Undercoated all fenders, trunk compartment and engine hood. All new fender hardware. All new front & back seat covers and new front door panels. Door window cranks and levers are new as well. Sunroof is in great working order with new seals and all new components. I have a brand new headliner & pad kit with new metal rods but is not installed. New Autosound USA 230 radio with , 6x9 Pioneer speakers in the rear with a new speaker tray, new Kenwood amp, all new audio cables, subwoofers under each of the front seats with 1 speaker in the dash. Paint has been aged by hand, using sand paper & vinegar. New pedal and clutch rubber pads. New mirrors and glove box plastic. New driver door handle & keys. My '65 runs great and can be a reliable and great daily driver. I drive it a couple days per week to the gym and grocery store. Rear windows are pop out style. I believe the car has been resprayed (it looks as if). The tranny shifts smooth and she drives nicely. The engine starts easily if you start her everyday or so (harder to start when she sits for a time - due to her carburetor, no fuel injection). The interior and top are in fair to good condition. To bring her to very nice condition should not be too much. She will need a few cosmetics but it looks like all the decals and chrome are there, may need new gaskets for the driver and passenger side windows. She is ready for a good home and one that drives her! The current owner does not need her any longer. He drove her to Nevada from Texas to use as a car while in town.
