1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle Karmann Sun Bug Cabriolet Convertible This vehicle has been fully restored and maintained. Everything is in excellent working condition! Paint is clean and shiny and interior is clean. There are no dents or dings on the body, no rust, no tears or holes in interior seats, etc. Engine runs strong and starts on the first or second try, even after sitting for several weeks. Many older parts have been replaced and the inside of the engine compartment is VERY clean and to stock (have pictures if necessary). Convertible top is original with the white interior and dark brown exterior, with the dark brown canvas cover. There is minor wear in the original top at the linkage joints. This is a 40-year old bug so there are minor leaks that is inherent with owning a bug. Vehicle is in excellent condition and great operational order. Has the spare tire and jack in the trunk. No additional modifications inside or out from the original stock condition. This bug is a frame off restoration to near original factory condition and everything is in excellent working condition! New clutch, heater boxes, muffler, oil cooler, valve covers, engine mounts, hoses and gaskets, etc. have been replaced. This is a vehicle with regular maintenance, low miles, and only driven on weekends and non-rainy weather. Vehicle is kept in a climate-controlled garage. Includes any spare parts available, original owner documentation and sales pamphlets. Any materials that I have removed will be provided with the sale of the vehicle. This vehicle is a Super Beetle with a 1600cc (60 Horsepower) air-cooled engine and manual transmission. There is no additional custom interior or exterior work outside stock - all original configuration. This vehicle has been entered into numerous Bug Out car events and wins either first or second place in Bug Convertible Stock every time. This is a non-smoker, second owner vehicle. Sun Bug History: The 1974 Karmann Super Beetle Cabriolet was manufactured at the Wilhelm Karmann plant in Osnabruck. Sun Bugs were finished in metallic gold paintwork and interiors that included rosewood dash panels (on the Super Beetle versions), simulated leather padded four spoke sports steering wheel, adjustable sports seats with special Mocha Brown needlecord and leatherette, matching door and side panels and loop pile carpets. They were also fitted with the familiar SEB finishing touch of Lemmerz “GT” sports wheels which in all cases were 4½J x 15. Some wheels were finished in gold color to match the vehicle bodywork paint while others were in standard aluminum-silver finish. This bug includes the upgraded painted sport wheels. 1961 VOLKSWAGEN CONVERTIBLE Beautiful ! Full Pan Off Restoration ! Every part on the Bug has been touched ! Nothing has been missed ! This Bug has a Victory Red paint job with a tan interior and a beautiful tan canvas top. When the restoration was done this bug was taken down to bare metal. Everything is new or has been refurbished to like new condition.The motor is a 1641 set up with dual carbs and a Freeway Flyer transmission. It has been lowered in the front and has disc brakes as well. All of the lights, gauges, wipers work ! It purrs down the street nice and straight and solid. Only about 1000 miles since restored. No issues at all. The tires,rims,chrome, interior, top, paint, wiring, rubber seals, suspension, brakes, lights, lenses, etc has all been replaced and is brand new. Underneath is nice and clean as well. I am selling this bug for a friend who has about 40 cars in his collection he is going to be selling this year. Several years ago I bought a VW with the hopes of fixing it up and making it look new. That never happened but I did spend several years driving a VW to work and around town, until the engine caught fire. One of the gas tubes split and caught fire. it was contained but the insurance company totaled the car. I have the engine fixed with the money but now the it has a salvaged title. I then took it to a body shop to informed me that the undercarriage had to much damage and would cost more than the car was worth to fix. At that time I put the car in storage to decide what to do. Now the car has sat for over a year and I have decided it is time to let someone else love this car as much as I have. The engine worked when it was put into storage. I was told that the under body was rusting beyond repair. The upper body has rust but I think there should be some usable areas. And most of the glass is original and looks good for its age. The trim is old brittle and cracking and needs to be replaced. The interior needs to be replaced or extensive repairs. This would be a great part car or for the more advanced person a major fixer-upper. 1963 Volkswagon Beetle- Complete nut and bolt restoration on a rust free original car in 2009 with approximately 2000 miles since completion. All original sheet metal to original car including floor pans. Only correct NOS and Wolfsburg parts used in the process. Painted in original L390 Gulf Blue. Along with 40hp 1200 engine rebuild, care was taken to use original parts and upgrading to power coating tins and ceramic coating exhaust for long term carefree maintenance and appearance for car shows. Careful attention was taken during restoration to repurpose any original parts that were in mint condition, these include seats, headliner and original dash paint. Correct, to period, Firestone tires were installed along with optional luggage racks and interior tray. The Beetle has the optional factory working gas guage and radio and includes the original Owners Manual. This car drives and operates as new. Pictures do not due any justice to this car. Hello ! Up for sale today is a Very Cool 1963 VW Bug Convertible Classic ! I am listing this for a friend who is downsizing. He will have many more cars up for sale soon. It is Burgundy with a Gray interior. It starts right up and runs great. The lights and gauges function as well. The top is in excellent shape and so is the interior. The chrome is driver quality but goes well with the nice patina that the paint has. I would say the paint is a 20 footer. It has some scratches and nicks but you don't really see them until you get close to it. The glass looks good. All the windows roll up and down. The top folds down with no problems. The body looks like it is mostly solid but if you look underneath it looks like the floor pans have had work. This VW in is great shape for being over 50 years old and it really goes down the road nice. It is a vehicle you can enjoy and put to use as well. This VW is sold AS-IS. Overseas buyers are welcome.
