I'm selling my 1970 Volkswagen Beetle convertible. This is NOT a Superbeetle, this is the more desirable "flat windshield" version. The car is in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition. The paint has a few small blemishes, such as some clear coat cracks on the hood and a few small stone chips here and there. The top does have a few small tears, but is still usable. I do have a cover that goes on the top while it is down, which is almost brand new. Headliner is in great shape. Windows and windshield are all solid and do not have any chips or cracks. Heat works very well for an old air-cooled VW. Upholstery was also redone about a year ago. Installed a backdated steering wheel, complete with Wolfsburg center button. Also installed a "retro-look" radio that looks like the original radio, but is AM/FM and has an auxiliary cable for iPod, etc. Upgraded seat-belts to retractable units, which are much more comfortable and easier to use than the stock units. Refinished the wooden shift knob, running boards, and dash panels to freshen them up. Added an MG tachometer that looks nice in the car, but seems to have some issues from time to time. It needs to be taken out and looked at. I also added new chrome fender stone guards and new chrome front and rear bumpers - the front bumper has a small dent which is not really noticeable, as it is behind the license plate. All floor pans are very solid, it is very structurally sound and nearly rust free. One other small item to point out - there is no passenger side mirror included with the sale. Engine has been upgraded to a 1600 Dual Port, which has much better performance than the stock 1600 single port. The engine was recently rebuilt - less than 1,000 miles on the engine since the rebuild (please note: the engine IS installed and running in the car. I simply included the picture of the engine next to the car to show that it was indeed removed and rebuilt). There is NO slop at the crank pulley, which is a common problem with these motors that signifies serious internal engine component wear. I also added recently rebuilt dual Weber ICT carburetors for improved throttle response and a Tri Mil muffler/header system, which greatly improves the exhaust sound and engine performance. 4 speed manual transmission shifts well through all the gears - all shift bushings recently replaced. If you are looking at a car where these have not been replaced, it is very likely that it will be very hard to shift and will grind through the gears. The car has been upgraded to front disk brakes and still has drums on the rear. It starts, stops, runs and drives very well. Clean Missouri title in my name. The odometer shows just over 61,000 miles, which are believed to be original miles. Overall, this is a very nice example of a 1970 VW, but since it is a 45 year old car, it does have some minor blemishes. I would rate it at a 7 out of 10. For Sale is a Rare 1962 Volkswagen Beetle Sedan with an original ragtop. This bug is originally from FL. so it did not have major rust like a lot of other cars of this year. The body/fenders/hood & trunk lid, hood, & wheels and seats were taken off and sandblasted in and out. It has always been in my garage with just light surface rust. Sand and prime. It has new floor boards, luggage rack, front trunk clip and one heater channel for the year of the bug already welded into place. All the replacement parts are of higher grade. The passenger side heater channel needs to be welded in to place and there is one small section of the front lower inner fender well that needs to be fixed that you can see in one of the pictures. It well need a small amount of body work then paint. All the fenders/doors look good. The floor and front end has already been painted a gloss black. Comes with a brand new transmission/axels that's already in place. Has all new brakes, and drums/bearings/seals/shocks. I do have all of the original rag top mechanism, and glass except for the drivers and passengers side windows. I do have the vent glass and all 4 original fenders, hood & trunk lid. Comes with the steering column & some of the stainless trim window pieces, front and back seats, gas tank, & gauges, front blinkers and back tail lights, head lights, original wiring, pedals, that were in the car when I got it. There is also a 1200 cc baha motor that I got from the seller that I got this car from. He said it was a running motor, but I never heard it run. It will sell with the car. New parts include a brand new turn key 1600cc motor, new interior kit, new 12 volt wiring, new handles for doors and trunk/hood. New visors, door/hood seals, two new tires, and etc small parts. Your also getting a bunch of used parts which include, wheels, hood/trunk lids, heaters, gauges, brake drums, seats, and other small parts. There is a bunch of parts and I am sure that I'm missing something. I will not divide up, selling all together. So don't even ask. VW Body will be wire/bolted to frame and will have all 4 steel rims so it could be loaded onto a trailer for transport. Selling VW in "As is Condition" When I bought this car it came with a Florida title that has been signed, but not dated. I never had it titled in my name. For sale is a 1962 Volkswagen with original rag top that is from FL. My intensions was to fully restore this car back to its original condition. I had everything taken apart and sand blasted in and out. Since then I bought new one piece R&L full boards, Nose, Rear seat compartment, All new drums, brakes/seals & bearings. has a brand new transmission and axles set up for a 1600cc motor. All of what's been installed so far has been painted gloss black. It also has new Heater channels with one already installed and the other that is ready to be installed. I have all the original parts for this car except the radio, drivers and passengers side glass, and bumpers that was missing when I bought it. Comes with both front and back fenders, pedals, emergency brake handle, gauges, shifter, front/back glass, original ragtop frame, two back side glass for both sides, hood, old wiring, steering column, trunk hood, engine hood, wire front seats, wire back seat top and bottom, front and back blinkers, front head lights, sun visors/rear view mirror. Comes with 5 original rims that have been sand blasted as well. I do have a 1200cc motor that came with the car, but is not the original. I have not heard it run. The other owner said it came out of a running baha bug. That is all I know about it. Looks like everything is there to it. This bug well need the heater channel welded in, and some body work and then your choice of color. This well make a nice daily driver or show car with a little effort. Most of the hard work has been started and done. I don't have the time to finish it. Bug can be rolled unto a trailer with just the rims on it now. I do have a clear title for the bug that matches the car that was signed from the other owner that I got it from, but not dated. I have bought cars like this in the past and had no problems getting them re-titled. Selling Bug is as is condition. I am not interested in any trading. TERMS---If you want to pay in full by pay-pal, then add 3.5% to the total. This is what I get hit with not to mention all the other crape that they charge. I don't like to do it this way, but by the time they get done with all there fee's, there's nothing left. Most people don't have a problem with this and would prefer to do it like this. I still require a down payment by Pay-Pal after auction ends. If you like to pay the rest in cash at time of pick up that's fine, but bring Cash, I will not except any form's of a check. I purchased this vehicle May 21, 2012 for my granddaughter for a price of $7,000.00. Since that date, I have spent a stupid amount of money on this vehicle to get it where it is today being listed on eBay. The car initially had 41,904 miles and currently the reading is 52.617. During the 10,613 miles that I've owned this car, I have added a new water pump with timing belt, new spark plugs, wires, and tune up, new catalytic converter, new exhaust manifold, replaced transmission fluid, replace ignition coil, new front brakes, new tires, and we also had to tint the windows. This all totals up to over $5.400.00. and I have all the papers to back this work. The car is performing well now but Grandma is getting a new vehicle and granddaughter is going to drive her Corolla. According to Kelly Blue Book, the car would rate between good and very good condition. The exterior generally looks very good driving by but on closer inspection, you will see two key marks and a small ding in passenger side door. The interior is very clean with no holes in upholstery, etc. Overall, the car looks good considering its age and definitely worth a look. When I purchased it, it came with a certified Car Fax report validating it's mileage history. I've tried to be as accurate as possible in this description as I've went to look at cars that did not come close to matching their description and ended up wasting everyone's time. I have priced the car according to KBB says for a private seller in good condition, etc. I am assuming, though, not many of these vehicles have the new parts and maintenance that this car does. I will accept a cashier's check, money order, personal check, or cash but will not turn over title until payment documents clear.
