stingdude Store In 1977 and 1978, VW issued one Champagne Edition convertible to each US dealership, also known as a Special US Sales Campaign model S723. This was essentially a Triple White convertible, but used a sand colored convertible top and had a set of four gold stripes running along the bottom of the doors and rear quarter panels. The 1977 model had faux burled elm dash inserts and the 1978 had faux rosewood dash inserts. Both had Opal colored vinyl seat (ribbon weave) and door panel coverings. Approximately 1000 total triple white S723 convertibles were sold in the US. I am pleased to offer this 1978 Super Beetle Convertible Champagne Edition in Triple White. This was my fathers car that was garaged and covered at his second home in Palm Desert, Ca. It has 7351 original miles from new (Documented from DMV smog check records). Original paint, top, interior, etc. Just fitted 4 new tires -BF Goodrich from Coker . As good an original specimen as you are likely to find. Runs & drives very much like a new one did. This is one to put away ! Inspections encouraged, this car is in pristine condition. Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool. 1963 Volkswagen Beetle Deluxe Sedan Model #113. This car was bought new from Southland Motors Inc. of Chattanooga Tennessee, by a life long friend of the family on October 19, 1962. The original purchase price was $1,846.79. The car was driven by the original owners until it was stored in 1979. They quit driving it because they were unhappy with the brake work that had been recently completed. They stored it inside and elevated off the ground. It stayed in dry storage until 2008, when my dad bought it and had a cosmetic restoration completed, which included new interior, paint, tires and miscellaneous trim pieces. This is an amazing example of an original 1963 Volkswagen. It retains all its original sheet metal, including the rust free floor pans. There's not a spot of rust anywhere on this car, nor was there any before it was painted. It did sustain a minor crash in the front in the mid 60s and you can still see the evidence of those repairs on the underside of the trunk lid and in the spare tire well. We even have the receipt to show when, what was repaired and cost of the repair. The paint is excellent. I wouldn't consider it show quality but its just below show quality, but I'm very particular about cars. I consider show quality to be absolutely perfect. Doesn't have any chips, scratches or dents so it could probably be made show quality perfect by someone with the time and knowledge to do it. This car still has the original engine and appears, according to receipts, to have been rebuilt in April of 1972 at the dealership. It does smoke a little when started and leaks some oil when its parked. Except for the smoke and leak it runs great, just like it did in 1963. Its retains the original 6 volt electrical system and was never converted to 12 volt. The interior is in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures. All the gauges work as they should. Glass is original and great. It is missing one wiper blade. I have it but the device to secure it to the car is broken so it won't stay on. The documentation of this car is nothing short of incredible. The original owners kept every receipt since it was new. I have a binder full of receipts that document the history of repairs and maintenance performed from 1963 to 1973. In this binder are all the Georgia registration receipts from 1963 to 1977. I have the original "Service Booklet 1", the sales brochure that show what colors you could buy a Volkswagen in, and a "Hot Rodding the Volkswagen" from the "Hot Rod magazine technical library". Also in the binder is a "Volkswagen Distributors and Dealers" book that gives the VW owner the name and address of every VW dealer in the United States and Canada at the time. A "Volkswagen 1200 1960 to 1965" book. This would be todays equivalent of and owners manual. We have the original "Car Invoice" from Southland Motors Inc. of Chattanooga Tennessee and the paperwork that indicates the port of entry and method of shipment that includes the engine number and the vehicle serial number. We have the original bill of sale and a receipt where the purchaser put a $50.00 deposit on the car on September 7, 1962. We do NOT have a title for it. eBay required that I fill in that section of the description and clear was the most suitable option. Georgia only requires a bill of sale on a car this old. I've got a lot more pictures of it I can email upon request. EBay would only let me put 12 on the ad. It's an excellent 2 owner bug. The original owner drove it till 1979, putting roughly 106,000 miles on it. My dad bought and restored it in 2008 and probably hasn't put 300 miles on it since then. Odometer shows 6,187 miles. All 5 tires were new in 2008. All replacement parts came from Wolfsburg West in California. We recently had everything checked out including the brakes, lights and a tune up. Its ready to go!! $500.00 PayPal deposit due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment due before or at pickup by cash or wire transfer. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping. I plan on selling cars when I retire in about 5 years, so my Ebay rating is important to me. I've tried to describe this car as best I can. If you have a question, ask it and I'll give you an honest answer to the best of my knowledge. The car is not perfect, but for being 52 years old, I consider it to be in excellent condition.

The Classic VW Beetle. Loved Worldwide and just as popular today, as she was when I was a teenager begging for my first set of Keys many decades ago... One thing is for sure, there are always many great beetle stories from way back when..... Unfortunately, I must sell her as part of a Court Ordered DIVORCE PROPERTY SETTLEMENT required me to sell my collector cars or buy out my ex-wife interest. A buy out at this time is not possible, so I have to put her back on the Market. Anyone who is a collector or wants to start a collection, this is your car! She is mint and fully documented. Recently featured at the Volkswagen AG, Emden Factory's 50th Anniversary celebration, and last year's Vintage Edition of Hot VW's. BRING YOUR OFFERS!! One- of - a - Kind- VW WerkEmden's 100,000th Jubilee Beetle. Fully Documented by Volkswagen AG- WerkEmden's 100,000th Beetle- manufactured 11 January 1966. See B&W photo of the factory celebration. (Photo property of VW AG) Featured in numerous magazines and newspapers.1300 export sedan received a two-year-pan-off restoration. Beautiful Ruby Red (L-456) exterior and Classic platinum (light gray) interior (Hand crafted to exact 1966 only specs by Lenny C @ Westcoast Classics)Factory Option Codes: M 002/358 US Spec, M 093 Hinged rear windows and M 128 While Wall tires. Strong 40 hp 1.3 liter flat four in the rear. Museum grade. Too much to list, I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. She was put back to life by Klassic Rides, Denver, NC (Just outside Charlotte where she is being stored in climate controlled facility), with the help of long time VW icons Randy Carlson and Lenny Copp and many spare parts found by my friends at Wolfsburg West. Featured in Hot VW's Vintage Edition 2014. Last year, VWAG shipped the Jubilee beetle back to their factory showroom in Emden, Germany for the Plant's 50th anniversary. (see pictured at event where she drew quite a crowd, also see her along side Emden's last beetle produced). I am a long time VW/Porsche/Mercedes collector. This is the last of my cars in my former collection. Unfortunately for me, I must sell due to a property settlement. But this is your chance to buy a historic car in mint condition for pennies on the dollar. It has been stored in a climate controlled environment just outside Charlotte, NC since it's return from Germany.A bound photo book showing the detail of the restoration.Receipts totaling +/- $100,000 in the restoration cost alone. No expense spared.I hope she will land in the arms of a true VW lover. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Plenty more photos if you need to see more detail. All reasonable offers considered. Easy 30 minute drive from the Charlotte Douglas Airport. It is worth the trip to see in person and Charlotte hub has easy flights from just about every major city in the US. Happy Bidding!

Last chance before the car goes in long-term storage due to out-of-state move... For additional photos, click the following link or copy and paste it into your browser: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOcqMBUwbvXH6HpRAZRchtJViGevQWcKWmDynwq2ksNQK-sosW1WBAVrQLjcN-Dig?key=SGNxeTd5Z3d1Uko3MnA1MDVhQmNlNHBwVmRTMF93THE STORY I found “Wally” – the name I’ve given this beautiful and historic 1961 Beetle - while I was living in Panama in 2011. I imported the car into the States in 2012. Per certification from the Siftung Volkswagen AutoMuseum in Germany (included with purchase), this particular car was built on 23 May 1961 and destined to Charleston, USA. I am not certain if Charleston was the final destination or if it was shipped via Charleston to Panama, but it also had a stint in Costa Rica. A previous owner claims this was one of only three imported into Panama that year. Wally was owned by an American expat living in the Panama Canal Zone until a Panamanian car enthusiast found it in need of some TLC and fell in love with it just as I did. According to him, the car had been parked for such a long time that a snake had claimed residence and the car had a small tree going through the floor pan and straight out the roof! The car was initially taken completely apart and restored in 2001 and it’s incredible that most of the car’s original parts were intact. ORIGINALITY To start, both the chassis and body match, with serial number 3899168. The engine also matches with serial number 5812753 (see certification), both dating to an April 1961 production (Note that body and engine numbers were different during that time, see http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/bugchassisdating.php). This is extremely rare to see numbers-matching survivors from this era, as most of them rusted out or had major components swapped out. To be clear, the car is a beautiful driver and will look great for many years to come. It is not a museum car or a “Concours” show car. I drive it several times a week and it gets lots of love and stares on the road. ENGINE In 2012 I had the engine completely overhauled and have included photos of that process. The case was machined and I was able to get correct NOS heads. All other components, including pistons, cylinders, cams, bearings, seals, etc… were replaced by Panama’s top VW man Samuel Cigarruista. I also rebuilt the original 28 pic carb. I’ve put about 2,000 miles since and it’s been a total pleasure! Note that I did not reset the speedo when the engine was rebuilt. Because they originally restored this car in Panama, where it’s hot all year round, they did not bother to put the heater components back on (heater box, hoses, etc…) The car’s electrical system was also converted to 12v so it runs on an internally regulated alternator instead of a generator. The battery, alternator, coil, cap, rotor, points, condenser, are all new. All the engine tin covers are chromed out. While I would have preferred to keep them original, it does look fantastic and it would not take much to bring back the stock look. BODY AND CHASSIS All body panels and glass are original except the floor pans, a patch on the roof (remember that tree?), bumpers, mirrors, and vent windows. Body work done was superb. The floor, heater channels, battery pan, door bottoms, and other rust prone areas are solid with only minor surface rust which is expected for a 14-year old restoration. I’ve tried to capture the the areas with paint blemishes and surface rust in the photos. The chassis is in very good shape. The fuel tank was also replaced and I recently added a period correct fuel gauge, which was an available accessory for that year to avoid running out of fuel. The car was painted in Black Diamond Pearl which basically looks black at night; and a very shiny and sparkly deep bluish-black in the sun. Upon close inspection there are few imperfections, but overall the paint still looks gorgeous and shiny throughout. The original color, per the certification, is L41 Black. INTERIOR Most of the interior components, including the speedo (reads in kilometers) and the knobs are original which gives the car a nice patina. It’s almost like stepping into a time machine! Everything is in working condition including turn signals, warning lights, wipers, dome light, etc., except the horn which has all the right parts but I haven’t figured out the notoriously over-engineered one-year only system. The washer pump works but is disconnected since they are known to leak and make a wet mess inside the car. The headliner is in excellent shape and professionally installed. Upholstery is in the original Silver Beige leatherette. I even have an original 1961 owner’s manual to go with the car. OTHER Brakes are in tip top shape, and the rear ones are spanking new (including hoses and lines). Spare tire and jack are in excellent shape and a new toolset is included. The tranny feels great and the car shifts smoothly all the way. No fluids are leaking. The suspension is also in top order. The tires are virtually new with less than 3,000 miles on them. They are slightly wider than the original 165’s for added driving stability. I’ve tried to anticipate as many questions as possible and also included many photos (and a couple of videos) that include every angle, interior, engine, undercarriage, minor paint blemishes, and even photos of the car in Panama and the engine rebuild process. If you still have questions or want to see photos of anything else, please ask via email. We can schedule a phone call as well. Note that with the purchase I will include certification on serial numbers from the Volkswagen Museum in Germany, owner’s manual, import documentation, a bunch of extra parts (see photos) and a $230 custom car cover from MicroBead. Upon close inspection there are a few little bubbles in a few areas, but overall the paint still looks gorgeous and shiny throughout. The original color, per the certification, is L41 Black. INTERIOR Most of the interior components, including the speedo (reads in kilometers) and the knobs are original which gives the car a nice patina without looking worn out. The seats are in good shape although the passenger seat does not recline as it should. Better than VW ever made them Fully Restored - over 2 years in restoration taken down to nuts and bolts and rebuilt from the ground up. About 5K miles since restoration. The car is a unique Standard model not the typical North American Deluxe model. The standard had alot more exposed and painted metal in the interior than the Deluxe and with the right color combination the interior is quite striking. This car has been thoroughly (money no object) restored. No corners cut. Full pan off restoration with new floors welded in and seams all sealed. The full undercarriage was then coated with Por 15 and then bed lined. This Beetle will never rust. The entire body was stripped to bare metal inside and out and painted from scratch. No filler anywhere, all metal car. No permanent modifications have been made to the car. All accessories are easily removable if that is preffered. Thorough (QUALITY Butyl) sound deadening in the front storage area, under the carpet, behind the headliner, in the doors and in the rear parcel shelf/storage area. There is NO roofing material used as sound deadening in this car. The engine has 5K miles on it (crate 1600 Dual Port). There is a serpentine belt conversion, NOS German Bosch SVDA Distributor, fully rebuilt Pict 34-3 Solex carburettor as well as a stainless mesh oil filter in an expanded sump plate. All Brake lines, hoses and hydraulics were replaced, all drums-shoes-hardware are new, new steering box, new kingpins, new shocks, new clutch, new starter, new generator, new wiper motor/mechanism/arms, new new new I cannot possibly list everything - This is a new car All rubber components were replaced with German - window seals, door seals, trunk and hood seals, tires, etc... New steering wheel, all fittings in the interior are new, new carpet and matching trunk carpet. The seats, grab handles and headliner are LEATHER and were custom made for this car at an upholsterer. The visors were custom made in the right color. New seat foams. The door cards are From TMI and Vinyl. The match is perfect. Factory fitted 3 point seatbelts were replaced with new. Converted to 12 Volt Electronics and ALL wiring is new. Retrosound Radio is installed and it is the top of the line $450 model - Bluetooth compatible, USB in the glove box and connectors for expansion to add any audio equipment you like. Currently has 2 high end speakers in the rear shelf beneath the rear seats leading edge. Accessories include - Solid billet aluminium running boards with powder coated ribbing, mud guards, bamboo tray (Real and period), Swans neck mirrors out of the UK, Impossible to find Robri stone guards I had to get from German eBay to the tune of $600 (Genuine), 356 Headlamp guards out of the UK, Venetian blinds (period), roof and trunk racks are NOT the cheap EMPI units, they were made in California and I ordered them specifically with the red tint in the Marine Lacquer and a highly polished triple plated finish to set off the Anthracite paint, A full set of Flying cog Hubcaps that were over 1K alone for the set in fresh chrome and finally a small set of original Hella Turn signal indicators off of the earlier cars - Again NO MODIFICATION was necessary to install these items. They can be easily removed. Included new tool roll and the jack has been restored and is in it's correct location hidden by the spare. I cannot list everything done to the car - If a component could not be brought to new condition in restoration it was replaced with the highest quality component available not the cheapest. This is the car for someone who is looking for a new/old Beetle. This is a new Beetle with 5K miles on it. Over 50K spent - nothing was allowed to compromise the quality of the restoration including cost. This Beetle and the attention to detail will highly impress anyone. I can help with national or international shipping if that is required 651.342.0928

The body and chassis of this VW are very solid, with little to no rust, and it has been in Northern California its entire life. The paint is a bit faded out, there are a few minor dings, a scuff and some scratches on it as well. The tires are in great shape with a ton of life in them. The engine was taken out for a rebuild and never made its way back into the car. I have all the engine parts and components, in addition to that I have a ton of extras to go too. The carburetor has been redone a few years ago and needs some cleaning up. I have spare window pains, a complete fiberglass body kit set for a VW Beetle sports coupe, 8 chrome hub caps, & trim pieces. Please be sure to check with shipping company for fees, prior to bidding!

This is the most solid non-show car beetle that I've ever seen. The previous owner had an engine failure, and purchased a new engine and LOTS of shiny aftermarket bits, but then never got around to installing it. I was going to get it running and sell it to help finance work on my '80 camper, but then I thought perhaps the next owner would rather have an original engine than the dressed up looking one that is on the stand. So, rather than guess which way to take it, I figured I'd just sell it "as is" with the new engine, the old engine parts, all the extra shiny bits, and everything else that came to me with the car and let the new owner decide which way to take it. It looks like I've got at least one engine worth of parts in all the boxes I got with the car...or you can just put the original tins on the new engine and sell all the shiny bits to make back a bunch of cash on your investment. Parts that come with it include: New carpet setNew clutch kitExtra capacity oil sumpScat brand oil filter coverEngine bay dress up kitHeat shield for behind dress up kitEngine bay sealsloads of extra seals and gasketsnew tail pipesmuffler (some surface rust, but looks unused)New mirror and stem... and more. The doors on this close solidly, no sag at all.Has reverse lights under the rear bumperHas original sapphire radioThe steering wheel is in great shapeThe interior is also very nice, with a replacement carpet new in the box ready to fit. Let me know if therre are any other pix you'd like to see. $500 deposit within 24 hours of end of auction via paypal. Balance in certified funds or cash at pickup. Thanks for looking! Good luck! Vehicle is for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end the auction early... I want to get this car to it's new owner asap so that I can get back to working on my camper... so I've decided to try a low BIN price in order to get it sold. While it will be possible to make offers, low ballers will be ignored... so if you are inclined to try that, you're only going to be wasting your time, not mine. Sorry to have to say that, but...
