Beautiful classic convertible. Runs great. We bought this from the original owners. It has been garage stored with regular but limited use. It was originally fuel injected although the prior owners converted it to carburetor which was a common practice since the fuel injection was not very good. I have a box of fuel injected parts that came with the car. We replaced the top and have the original top cover (boot). The only obvious functionality problem is the front seat releases. The cable from the levers to the latches is broken so the latches need to be manually manipulated in order to lean the seats forward. We were told this is a common issue which can be repaired although we haven't looked into it. And as noted, it was verbally reported that the odometer was replaced around 18000 miles so the current reading is not actual for the car. Very fun to drive.

I need to sell my lovely 1973 Super Beetle because I am leaving the country in a month and a half. Over the past 3 years, I have replaced a majority of the parts in it and am looking to pass it onto an owner who is excited about having an iconic, vintage car. The vehicle has a nearly brand new engine with less than 1200 miles. It is an of year engine and runs fantastic - it is great on long or short trips, and gets around 25 mpg highway. The front end has almost been entirely replaced. The upholstery was recently redone by the previous owner, and he equipped the beetle with a Pioneer sound system. The body is in great shape as well, with only minor, cosmetic rusting around the hood seals and on the front and back fender. The paint looks fresh and very clean on the outside, with sky blue on the sides and white on the hood, cab, and trunk; there are, however, some nicks and bits on the interior paint and tint that could use some attention. I've worked on this car alot, and have both the Haynes complete rebuild manual and John Muir's excellent "How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive Forever" handbook which I am more than happy to pass on to the new owner. This car is excellent as a starter car or if you want to learn to work on your own automobile. Even if you don't, I am happy to refer you to a local mechanic who I know has extensive experience with these cars and will keep your new Beetle running through thick and thin without any headdaches. If youre a VW Veteran, then you know these machines are cheap and easy to work on, and they can run forever as long as you give your new stylish ride the attention it deserves! $4500 is the price, and the engine by itself costed more than that, but I've got to move this VW to a new home asap! GROUND-UP RESORATION ON TROPHY WINNING CLASSIC 1973 VW BEETLE:Featured is my wife's classic 1973 VW Beetle which she received in December, 2013 and was trailered to five car shows in spring & summer of 2014 receiving a trophy/plague in every contest it entered including "Best In Show - Foreign". The Beetle received a complete ground-up restoration to it's original condition which included: original wheels and new tires, complete new interior (seats, carpets, headliner, original steering wheel and paint; complete new trunk carpet; complete engine check, service and detailing; exterior stripped and repainted white metal flake; undercarriage coated and detailed; chrome items replaced with new as required. The Beetle is not driven and stays in garage until loaded on trailer for a car show.This is a rust free Beetle including all floor pans. The only body repair required prior to painting was a small rust spot under the right side upper vent. The car was purchased from California where it had apparently spent it's entire life before coming to the east coast. A box of original used parts is also included with the sale.Beetle scheduled for North Carolina Classic Auto Auction in July, 2015, but I wanted an eBay buyer to have first choice.

This is our daily driver!!!A wonderful 1968 Standard Beetle in two toned european styling, Black interior!A+ stereo inside with new clutch, Generator, voltage regulator, Pertronix electronics, battery and brakes.Everything works on this car!!! Tires are great, rims are great, floors are great, heat channels are great [only issue is that the drivers seat is bolted into one position. If you want, you can change that to your length once you get it].I am selling it to buy a VW Bus for our DJ services or I would keep it.It is for sale locally on Craigslist so you can find it on Indianapolis Craigslist if you want to see it there. You pick up in Indianapolis or we can arrange delivery for a fee within reason.
