ronrossmotors store Older restoration on this 64 Bug - Complete new interior - seats with piping - carpet - headliner - door panels.Paint is about a seven out of ten with a few blemishes noted around the bottom of the rear deck lid - bubbling slightly - and a few surface scratches which are not that noticable - really nice from ten feet.Floor and frame is solid besides some rust on the floor under the battery. It does have a patch under the battery.Car has new front and rear bumpers.The motor from what I can tell is a 1600 cc dual port with the dual carburettors. Car has a nice smoothing shifting trans and a decent clutch. No blue smoke. The car runs and drives excellent - performs great. Not sure on the mileage so please dont ask as it is a 50 year old car.All the electrics work besides the horn and has an aftermarket stereo.Only known glitch is the wear on the door latches. The passenger door does not open from the outside only the inside, and the drivers door button outside needs to be pushed twice to open.Overall this is truly a nice 64 Beetle.For more information you can call 310-316-5300 Buyer's Inspection: Pre-sale inspections are welcome. Allow me to introduce myself, My name is Ruff and I am a Volkswagen Superbeetle. I am 42 years old, I was born in Europe in 1973 and immediately moved to America for a better life. My skin is Orange with a black interior, my odometer says I have 51,133 miles, but I believe I have traveled much further than that. (turned over) My current roommates have had me for about ten years, they've always seen fit that I was maintained and kept indoors or under a carport at our vacation home in the Coachella Valley. I am a autostick (yes, the rare autostick) I am a cross between a automatic and a stick shift, I have a shifter, but no clutch. I am very easy to drive. A few years back I received a beautiful new paint job and I clean up real well, but I'm thinking in a year or two, I might need a touch up here and there; but I am completely presentable and receive smiles and sometimes hand waves as I travel our beautiful city. Recently, I have had some health issues... I have been always faithful and true and I have never left my owners stranded, but my doctor tells me that I am going to need a starter solenoid, which I hear is very reasonable to have fixed, but this has confined me to the house. I will need to be towed to a shop to have that taken care of. I do prefer a covered parking spot though if you have one. If you want to come out and take a look at me, I'd be happy to meet you. I live up highway 74 in Palm Desert. (community right next door to Bighorn Country Club.) My roommates are in their 70's and they're selling their vacation home and moving back into the city, me personally I'd like to stay around the desert if possible... so if you've got $5500.00, come pick me up, let's go for a ride.
