1972 VW Super Beetle, 43,625 certified miles, 2nd owner. All original - not restored. Interior and exterior immaculate. Seats and carpets look brand new even though they are original. Owned for 40 years by elderly couple in Pennsylvania then moved to Florida. Always garaged. Absolutely perfect original condition. Not a bit of rust anywhere. Only thing updated was the radio. You’re bidding on a 1971 VW Super Beetle, restored to daily driver condition with a nod to classic 1960’s Hot Rod styling. Engine features:-1641 cc professionally built by Ken Jensen Enterprises in Belmont, CA and still under warranty. -Mild Cam (Engle 100), stock crank and heads, bugpack headers and a quiet exhaust system.-Dual 40mm kadron carburetors set up by The Kaddie Shack of Pasadena, CA. -Electronic fuel pump and Bosch 12v alternator conversion-009 distributor, Petronix electronic ignition, coil and wires-New ignition switch and starter-Interior heat for those chilly days Drivetrain:-Stock IRS transmission and new clutch-Replaced the shift rod coupler with a urethane one: now shifts positive and smooth in every gear-Stylish old-school empi trigger shifter--works great Brakes:The entire brake system was replaced about four years ago: drums, pads, cylinders, lines and master cylinder. In the future, it may need an adjustment with pad replacement. The emergency brake is, of course, functional. Replaced all rubber with urethane in the front end suspension and added new bumpstops in the rear. Sitting on a topline adjustable versa strut kit with stock height sport springs for a nice ride even at extreme low.New tires all around: stock tires in rear, smart car tires in front, port-a-wall whitewall inserts and a full-size new whitewall spare. (I have the original year bumpers to go with the car and other miscellaneous parts.) History and overall condition:I am the third owner of the car, purchased in Sacramento 4 years ago. I have been restoring and driving it ever since. Before that, the car was located in Chico with the original owner. It has a clear title.Pans are rust free, though the driver side door hinge will need some attention. I live less than half a mile from the beach-- any exposed metal or cheap chrome will rust. Though I diligently keep up with prevention, occasional small rust bubbles happen in the rear near the corner vents. (An issue with all VW Beetles that possess said vents.)I have addressed the small rust bubbles, but internal foam insulation needs to be removed to prevent the rust from returning. Otherwise the car is solid and free of rust. Over the years, I invested over $11,000 into the vehicle. She drives well and is a real head-turner! Though not my daily driver, for the last year I have been taking the car on longer cruises and VW car club functions and shows. Welcome to our listing for this Really Cute Classic Volkswagen Super Beetle. This Beetle is in great condition with only 83,107 miles (the title reads exempt) on the body, has been owned by the same person for the last 14 years, and has been restored for you to enjoy. It has a great color combination of Glossy Brite Yellow exterior and has a Black Velour cloth interior. This Classic Beetle is powered by a 1600 CC Dual Port engine with a 4-Speed manual transmission. The engine was completely rebuilt, had a NEW Clutch installed, and has about 5,000 miles since the overhaul. Everything on the Super Beetle (including the factory AM radio) is working except the horn. The body on this Classic Super Beetle is in really good condition. My mechanic couldn't find any rust on the car and the floors are all solid, good, and ORIGINAL! He claims that is a BIG DEAL! The body is straight and paint shines nicely. It is what I would call a driver quality paint. I am picky and would give it a 7 of 10 overall, good enough to take to your local cruise nights or most outdoor Car Shows. The chrome including the bumpers is all good. The glass is original (excepting the windshield which has one rock chip that has been filled) and is in excellent condition. The interior is "really cute" with the comfortable Velour Cloth seats, new carpet kit, and classic "beetle" floor mats. On the exterior the Wolf Bra keeps the front of the Super Beetle protected from rock chips and adds a nice touch to the overall appearance. I purchased this Super Beetle from the lady who owned the car for the last 14 years. She purchased the Beetle is 2001 and at that time they did a restoration. They did the body and paint, did the interior, and installed a rebuilt engine. I drove the Super Beetle home and it drove great and was a BLAST to drive. When I got home I noticed some oil leaks that concerned me, (the Super Beetle had not been driven since 2011 and it was in inside storage the last 4 years), so I called my mechanic (who happens to be a classic volkswagen guru) and he recommended we pull the engine and "reseal" it properly. The engine was far enough apart that we could verify the low mileage (approximately 5,000 miles) on the rebuild and while we were at it we installed NEW FUEL lines, a new belt, and new spark plugs. Now, this Super Beetle runs out SUPER, shameless pun intended! The final thing I did was install a Brand New set of 165/80R15 tires and a set of Chrome Stainless Steel Trim rings. FINAL THOUGHTS: For the amount of money most Classic Cars are commanding the Beetle and Super Beetle are one of the best values on the market. Don't be mislead by the LOW LOW Fall Close-Out price. Typical 40 year old car. It is a project, but the engine runs very well. Drives but does need steering, suspension and brake work- driving on the highway is sketchy. It has a few rust spots on it; floor pans are solid and original. Tires are new, less than one year old with less than 200 miles on them. Car comes with a new head liner and front door panels, black in color... not installed. The cars also comes with a new center link not installed as well as a few other parts. Over all the car needs restored. The green paint is not original and looks as if it was possibly sprayed on in the 1970's. Everything electrical works except the turn signals. The plumbing for the defrosters is missing but the fresh air box is present and working. No bumpers. I am not the original owner, the odometer shows ~90000 miles but very well could have rolled over several times. If sold for $2500 I will be willing to ship within 250 miles otherwise local pick up only; payment due before delivery. Open to offers.

I have a 1973 VW Super Beetle that my daughter and I started to restore for her first car. Well we did not get really far on it and now it just sits in the garage since she went away to college. Car has all the parts and many original parts. 1600cc engine was rebuilt but I have not tried to start it. Manual transmission included as well just have not had the car together to use it. Interior is in good condition with no tears. Great project car! This car is for sale locally and have the right to end auction at anytime due to local sale. Will consider trades! My beetle was a good running car a year ago. I drove and parked it in a storage approximately a year ago. I have started and warm up the engine occasionally, until about three months ago, I have attempted to get the engine started, but the the engine just spins and will not start. I pour gas in the carburetor, but still won't start. I do not know the reason. The interior and the body is in decent condition. This car is being stored in a storage yard and is costing me money. Here is a 1973 Super Beetle sedan. The car runs and drives well, but it does need some cosmetic body work (body sanded, smoothed out, painted, etc.). The interior needs carpet, and seat padding. The headliner is good. The dash has a crack in it, but is overall good. No radio installed. The floor pans are solid, but they need wire brushed and painted with some rust prohibitive paint. The heat channels and rockers are solid. The car has brand new tires and new brakes all the way around. All in all it's a good bug, but it just needs finished out. I drive the car quite a bit and it's never let me down. I would not recommend driving the car for long distances (over 2 hours or so) just because it's old and there are no guarantees that nothing will break. I've driven it on trips an hour or so each way, and it ran fantastic. There are no known issues that would prevent the car from being driven longer, and I only state this due to the age of the car. I am only selling the car to put money into other projects. I will not ship the vehicle, and I will not hold the vehicle for more than one week. If I have to hold the vehicle, I require a $200.00 non-refundable deposit payable via paypal. Please, if you buy the car, please be prepared to come pick the car up in person and pay cash. 1973 Super Beetle Super Sport edition. Better rims and Steering wheel package. Has mini lit wheels. California wide body kit all fiberglass fenders and sun visor. Good carb on it runs well. 1980s restoration on it showing its age. Plans changed so it needs to go. Great restoration base interior is in good shape other than typical dash cracks and carpet could use a renewing. Brakes need going over been sitting. battery is flat right now but starts with a boost. Main floors are pretty solid. battery area needs some work.

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS MY 1972 VW VOLKSWAGEN SUPER BEETLE. THIS IS MY DAILY DRIVER AND HAS BEEN SO FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF OR SO. I PUT ABOUT 40 MILES PER DAY ON IT GOING TO WORK AND BACK. CAR HAS BEEN 100% GARAGE KEPT BY MYSELF AND PRIOR OWNER. CAR IS LOCATED IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA 32244. ODOMETER SAYS AROUND 47K MILES, BUT TRUE MILEAGE IS UNKNOWN. MANUAL TRANSMISSION. LAST YEAR FOR THE FLAT WINDOW AND DASH STYLE. ENGINE WAS REBUILT BY PRIOR OWNER 13K MILES AGO. AS STATED ITS MY DAILY DRIVER...WHEN I BOUGHT IT WAS PROFESSIONALLY INSPECTEDBY AN AIR COOLED VOLKSWAGEN SPECIALIST TO MAKE SURE THINGS WOULD BE GOOD TO GO MECHANICALLY. MY MECHANICS HERE IN JACKSONVILLE HAVE BEEN "HILLTOP MOTORS" AND "WAGENWERKS". I HAVE KEPT A LOGBOOK OF EVERY PENNY PUT INTO THE CAR INCLUDING GAS FILLUPS. IT IS PICTURED IN THE LISTING. CAR IS GETTING ABOUT 25MPG AND APPROX 225 MILES OR SO ON A TANK. I HAVE BEEN RUNNING MID GRADE IN IT. THERE IS NO MAJOR ROT ON THE CAR IN THE TROUBLE SPOTS BEETLES ARE KNOWN FOR. THE PANS AND CHANNELS ARE GOOD. THE PAN AREA UNDER THE BATTERY WAS REDONE WHEN PRIOR OWNER DID PARTIAL RESTORATION THAT INCLUDED THE INTERIOR WORK AND ENGINE REBUILD. 1978 Super Beetle Bug Convertible Project Car with a good motor and transmission! Unknown mileage. This Beetle has sat for a while, but I threw a new battery in it and it starts right up. It does leak a lot of oil when running and will probably need all new gaskets. It runs and will drive, but needs restoration before it's ready to get back on the road without being trailered. Has dents, dings, cracks, and rust that will need repair. Needs windshield wipers, radio and speakers. Convertible top is in pretty good shape. Has good tires too.
