This car looks and runs great, has been a few local shows. Everybody loves the Vettes and Muscle Cars, that being said, everybody has a story about a trip in a VW. It is loved by all. This was a very clean car when we bought it for my son to go to college. We made it better, so nice I couldn't let him drive it to school, I emotionally couldn't handle it. The paint is flawless, been garaged since it was complete. Has only a few custom touches, for the most part all original restoration. New paint, chrome, bumpers, rubber all around. Two sets of tires with wheels, Coker white walls for show and daily drivers. Custom billet running boards, I even bought a period correct jack. New brakes, shocks, sway bar, front ball joints, clutch and throw out bearing. Custom exhaust. I will throw in all the extra screws and parts. It looks brand new. All the windows were re-built and new rubber and felt. New dash board, new steering wheel, stereo with c/d play and ipod hook up, custom stereo speaker kick panels. new carpet, new seat covers, new headliner. This is a 1965 VW Bug that has been set up for drag racing. We had it on the track last year with a 2050cc motor and we were running high 13 in the quarter mile. We put the 2050cc motor in a BAJA we had, so the drag bug has a stock single port 1500cc in it now. Everything else is the way it was when we were racing it. The bad: It needs some body work as you can see in the pictures but the body all in all is straight. The motor has an oil leak, its a VW. The Good: Disk brakes on the front Fully adjustable front beam Heavy duty swing axle trans mount for racing A lot of the body mounts and brackets have been strengthened Electric fuel system New carpet, headliner, door panels, front seats and back bench The body has been chopped 4 inches and the body has "Freddy Fat" fiberglass fenders Front tires are stock dimensions on aluminum wheels the back tires are 275 50 15 drag radials. If you are in the market for a solid well built drag car to have some fun with on the weekends or around town all this car needs is a motor swap and your off to the races !!!!!!

1973 Beetle real "body off" restoration. This car won it's class in nearly every auto show I entered. Won Chairman's Trophy at the Monmouth County Fair 2006 out of 271 entries. The picture shows about half the trophies it won over the years. (my wife threw the others out "Too much clutter!") Engine is a Balanced 1914cc- by JCS Machine, Irwindale, CA, 2 Liter (1914cc) with about 9,000 miles on it. - Dual 40mm Carbs - Engle 110 cam - about 100 hp (not a race car - it's a show car) - standard 4 speed with Freeway Flyer Trans. The pictures document the restoration, I have dozens more I can show you- frame stripped, sandblasted and 2 coats POR 15 applied - body stripped to bare metal - painted with PPG base coat/clear coat. I saved all my receipts over the years totaling nearly $15,000 in parts. 17" Boyd Coddington wheels & tires cost $2500 alone. This garage kept, 1970 fire red metallic re-mod (rebuilt & modified) Volkswagen Beetle has a professional built high performance 1776cc engine, built by Vintage Performance of West Chester, Pa, at a cost of $5000. It has over sized pistons, cam, oil sump & valves. The engine does not leak oil. The engine is fed by two dual Dulordo carburetors. The manual transmission was built in California and has a Skat short stroke shifter and a heavy duty clutch.The body was professionally built by Auto Impact, now known as Precision Collision of Coatesville, Pa, at an approximate cost of $5000. The body was completely disassembled, stripped, and blasted with walnut shells. The red metallic paint is a GM color. The fenders are new, the rest of the body is original. The floor pans are also new. All the glass, rubber, and wiring have been replaced. It has all new brakes, not just the shoes, but everything from the rubber pedal to the wheels. The wheels are 8 spoke polished aluminum. There are 185/65 r15's on the front and P215/60 R15's on the rear. The running boards are also aluminum. All the chrome is new. The underside is completely undercoated.The interior is one year old. It is saddle brown leather and it was installed professionally by Ron Kozura's Upholstery in Pottsville, PA.The interior also has a new tachometer, oil pressure, oil temperature, and volts gauges. The speedometer reads approximately 30,000, but read 19746 when the car had its first inspection after the rebuild. All the inspection receipts are available.The new AM / FM stereo play CDs or iPod and it also has USB support. It uses two large speakers mounted by the back window.The yearly inspection and insurance cost on this car combined are approximately $150 - practically free to operate. This vehicle runs and drives reliably. It has a new starter, battery, ignition coil, master cylinder & front wheel cylinders, as well as a newly rebuilt carburetor. Aftermarket fenders, windows, bumpers, and exhaust. The exhaust system does not include a heater box. Several spare parts included in the sale. Beautiful candy-apple red color, but original dark blue color shows in the interior. Paint does have some minor scratches and chips. Some surface rust, particularly on wheel rims. Weatherstripping is not installed around driver and passenger windows, and is cracking around the hood. The glove box is missing its handle, and the driver side window crank had its knob come off. Lap belts installed in driver and front passenger seats. The blinker circuits (emergency and turn signals) do not work, although the blinker relay and 9-pin multipurpose relay have both been replaced. I have recently attempted to fix the emergency brake and fuel gauge, but I have not verified that they work; they probably still need adjustment/calibration. Finally, the horn is not installed, although all the parts for installation are included in the sale. I intend to continue working on some of these issues until the vehicle sells. The vehicle is a 1967, but the engine is a 1.2 L 1965. Clean WI title. More pictures are available upon request. I am the third owner of the vehicle. The first owner installed all of the custom parts, as well as the '65 engine. The second owner had the intention of restoring it, but let it sit in his garage for 10 years before selling it. When I purchased it, it was not in operable condition, and I had to replace most of the fuel line, brake system, and some of the ignition system, including the battery, in order to make it roadworthy. It was my daily driver from January to August last year, but it became apparent that I needed something better for winter driving. I have enjoyed driving it and working on it, and really hate to see it go, but being a college student I just don't have the time or money required to restore a vehicle. Asking $5200 or best offer. 1970 BAJA BUG with chrome 1600cc, with a 4 speed IRS VW BUS transmission. 3" lift plus 3" suspension lift for a total of 6" lift. The car has a full set of VDO gauges, and a 4 point integrated roll cage with KYB Gas shocks. Car has chrome 15" wheels, and BAJA type bumpers. The paint is not perfect as there are areas that have slight blemishes. Four stainless steel KC lights. I have had several carburetor configurations for it Webbers, Dells, Solex, etc. The car currently has the simple single Solex which seems to be the most responsive.
