1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, beautiful candy apple red! Excellent condition inside and out, minor surface rust on bumpers, dent on left side rear fender, minor repairable top tear along edge. This sweet bug has been kept in our garage for far too long, time for it to be seen on the road. Runs great, no major mechanical issues. Appears to be original engine as number matches. Has only had two owners. Buyer gets an extra PARTS beetle (see pictures) for FREE plus at least 3 boxes of new parts! Not mandatory that buyer takes other beetle if they don't want it. I can deliver for FREE, depending on the distance.

Up for sale is a 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. This car is in excellent running and driving condition and has just been brought out of a 5 year storage. The fuel system has been drained and cleaned and the car is running great. This particular beetle was manufactured on July 7, 1979 and left the Osnabrueck, West Germany factory on September 20, 1979. It was shipped to the port of Los Angeles and delivered to Foothill VW in La Canada, CA. The original owner bought the car on December 2, 1979 (traded in a 75 Oldsmobile). This car spent several years on display at the Ellingson Car Museum in Rogers, MN in the 1990's - early 2000's. The top, headliner and padding were replaced in 1991 and looks great. No rips or tears. There is some minor staining on the forward part of the headliner. Only noticeable when the top is down. Top secures tight and comes with the original top boot. 1.6L fuel injected motor runs fine with no problems. Shifts through all gears smoothly and does not pop out of gear. Slight oil leak common on old VW's possibly from the valve cover. Interior is original with no ripped or torn upholstery or carpet. New coco mats installed. Dome light, clock, instruments, lights, blower fan and original AM/FM radio all work. This beetle was intended for the California market and has the original factory M-27 West Coast emissions equipment installed. Essentially a fuel vapor recovery system. All the components are still installed with no signs of rot or damage. The car was repainted in the past in the original Mars Red. Some minor bubbling on the front of the hood but otherwise in excellent condition. The windshield trim piece has normal signs of blemishing and fading. There is on small patch of rust on the passenger side pan below the battery tray. There is a small dent on the rear apron and a small crease on the rear bumper. The tires have plenty of tread with no signs of dry rot. Other than the paint and top and some parts replaced here and there, the car is largely unrestored. There is a lot of paperwork that comes with the car. Original window sticker, bill of sale, owners manual, a VW "birth certificate" from the Stittung AutoMuseum Volkswagen in Germany. Also the original Foothill VW license plate frame and receipts detailing the work that has been done in the past. The car is located in Marble Falls, Central Texas. Clear Texas title. Current Texas registration and inspection. Shipping at buyers expense. I will do everything needed at my end. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I will be happy to answer any questions and provide more photos. Thanks for looking.

This car drives and rides great, the drive train and tires are in excellent condition. The body has a few blemishes and the convertible top is frayed in a couple spots. I’ve tried to show these in the pictures. the only thing it’s missing is a radio. This car is a lot of fun to go driving in. The odometer does not work, the milage is more than it reads.
