You are looking at an extremely rare Macho T/A. This particular Macho T/A has been owned by me for over10 years. There is a 3" binder full of documentation on this car including the build sheet, original sales invoice, copies of documentation from Mecham Pontiac to Rosenthal Hayman Pontiac and a whole host of other documentation including the restoration of the vehicle. Built at the Van Nuys assembly plant, shipped to Mecham Pontiac in Arizona and sold at Rosenthal Hayman Pontiac in Virginia. This Trans Am had been used in my recently released restoration book in which this car was featured in some of the book. The body had been completely restored on an original low mileage unrusted car, painted, and striped as was done originally. The interior had new carpet, new seat foam, new seat covers and the dash was restored by Just Dashes.New weather stripping throughout. The shaker scoop and air cleaner are also with the car. The front and rear suspensions, and 4 wheel power disc brakes were also restored along with the interior, dash and power windows. This was phase one of the restoration. The vehicle was taken to a storage facility to await phase two which would have cleaned up the underside and engine compartment. Unfortunately, something heavy fell on the car while in storage and damaged the roof and fender. The roof is easily repairable as is the fender. The vehicle is located at a restoration shop in Clifton NJ for viewing. They could also provide you with an estimate for repairs if you wanted to have them repair it. There was only 96 Macho T/A's made in 1979 making these very rare. The documentation on this car is outstanding and the car is about 75% restored outside of the damage. It even has the original exhaust system. If the Buy it Now is used, I will include the restored 15 x 8 WS6 wheels with the new Goodyear GT Radials that were also part of the Macho options this car came equipped with.
