75k miles, I have had it for 2.5 years, had 2 kids back to back so need the cash. 389 motor out of a 1966 Pontiac. 2 speed power glide transmission. No trades. I have done a new headliner, added power brakes, new battery, wheels and tires have 500 miles on them, new HEI distributor, plugs and wires. Has a Kenwood cd/bluetooth audio head unit and 2 Rockford fosgate speakers, sounds great. Took it to Evans auto on Morse road in October and spent $1100 on new rear springs, new thermostat and fixing a few other minor things. It has disc brake conversion up front so stops great. It took 50 years for this paint job, it has killer patina. Will do 70 mph on the highway all day, starts every time no issues. Does have a small oil leak, not perfect but a great driver. They indicated that it was placed in the shop in 2001 after father passed away. Immediately after purchase, we added the tires and brake system to be able to move the vehicle safely. Dark spots in paint are surface rust. We can email or text more pictures upon request. The following are projects we have completed on this vehicle with the following NEW parts: Tires, fuel pump, carburetor, cap/rotor/wires/plugs, oil/filter, trany fluid/filter, AND entire brake system (master cylinder, hoses, wheel cylinders, brake lining, spring kits, adjuster kits) Vehicle started right up. Have not checked the fuel tank or sending unit - may need tank &sending unit to make driveable. Convertible material is gone, but the frame is complete and operates smoothly. 1962 Pontiac LeMans Tempest, 2 door 4 cylinder, automatic. Independent rear suspension. Original red with black interior. It was repainted some time ago. Rust is very minimal but it will need some patch work on the driver and passenger front floors. Also, there is some rust bubbles on bottom of doors and quarters. Frame rails and trunk are solid. Engine runs from a bottle. Did not want to suck up any dirt until I cleaned the gas tank. There are no brakes. It will need a master cylinder. It will need the glass replaced in the passenger side door. The car is mostly original and it would make a great restoration project or a V8 conversion. Selling this vehicle for a car dealer friend of mine. Very nice 1962 Pontiac Tempest convertible. Has a 195 cubic inch 4 cylinder gas engine with automatic transmission controlled by a small lever on the dash. 609 miles showing on the odometer. Red on red. Vehicle has been kept as original and it is in impressively nice cosmetic and mechanical condition. Appears to have been repainted some time ago with some evidence of body work along the bottom. Paint is very nice and clean with just a few very minor blemishes. No significant dents or scratches. Nice clean chrome trim. Convertible top is very nice with no rips or tears on the exterior. There are some visible wear spots on the inside but no where near worth replacing it yet. Rubber moldings around the windows are dried and deteriorated as you can see in some of the close up photos. Rubber molding on the passenger side rear window is partially detached. Good clean glass panels and they all go up and down just fine. Excellent tires. New muffler. Chassis and engine compartment are very clean and free of any rust. Interior is very nice and clean. There is a sizable tare on the drivers side of the bench seat but the passenger side and rear seat are without any damage. Good clean carpets. With good working heater. Vehicle is EXCELLENT running. 1966 Pontiac Tempest (numbers matching) History of the car Was told the car was originally from California , was purchased buy its second owner and then relocated to Arizona for most of its life , 3rd owner purchased the car and relocated to North Carolina around 2005 and was slated to get restored buy its owner .... Owner had other more important commitments so the Tempest was put on the back burner until a later date..... on his property out of the elements for most of the 10 years he owned it........ it was then Moved outside to pole barn within the last year due to the need for space in the garage.....I was in the right place at the right time and purchased the vehicle from him and restored it to its current level ..... Have all photos of the car before and after ...... all of the documentation on all of the repairs completed ....... This car looks and sounds great ..... What i can tell you of the car Super solid and super straight body pretty much rust free car when i purchased it,some surface rust but it was mostly just covered in dust and debris ...... I have provided link to photos and videos of the entire restoration of the car ( please feel free to ask anything you want or any pics you require ) This car was super clean before we even started the project Drive-Train Original 326 engine , 2 speed Automatic Trans , 10 bolt posi Differential assemblyDisc brake front / Drums duels with glass packs Exterior Body Block sanded the entire vehicle , repaired the minor imperfections such as shopping cart and door dings typical parking lot stuff , no metal or sheet metal work needed ..... see the pics it was just amazingly clean epoxy primed // mek primed // sealed // base coat applied silver sikkens paint // second base coat is sikkens custom blue // 4 coats of clear-coat applied to the vehicle // wet sanded and re-shot with an additional 4 coats of clear ...... it really pops see pics its a candy blue / silver effect. 1964 Pontiac Tempest Custom Convertible. 326 V-8, automatic transmission, 2:56 rear axle ratio. I bought the car from the family in Tennesee who owned the car for many years. I am a mechanic and have gone completely thru all the mechanicals of this vehicle. It runs and drives like new. Drive anywhere. Car does have power steering and factory radio converted to am-fm stereo. Everything works as it should. The interior is all original and in really nice condition. The frame is very clean and solid as well as the trunk floor has no patches. I cleaned and sanded the trunk floor and coated it with POR 15 to preserve it. Some of the items I have serviced and/or replaced; New Starter, All new wheel cylinders and master cylinder, new rear axle bearings and seals, cleaned and packed the front wheel bearings, new lower ball joints, alignment, new brake hydraulic hoses (3), all new coolant hoses, new fuel hoses, new water pump and recored original Harrison radiator, new heater core, complete tune up, new thermostat. The car has the original numbers matching motor and transmission as well as alternator and regulator. I also rebuilt the carberator. All fluids and filters including the differential and transmission have been properly changed. Turn -key great driving car. Also put complete new dual exhaust system. I am selling her because I had the opportunity to purchase a 1966 Shelby Hertz Rent-a-Racer locally, so I did. The paint is not fresh nor perfect, but it is decent and I do get a lot of compliments when I attend the local shows and cruise nights. Overall, a really nice car to enjoy, with no issues.
