This is a 1978 Pontiac trans am, in need of restoration,has Factory fisher t -tops It has the orginal 400 Pontiac engine that has NOT been bored yet it is still stock bore, it is a ac car but the compressor is missing,The engine and transmission is currently removed and engine is apart, it needs a rebuild all bolts etc are included and bagged and marked, the automatic transmission is included and not apart, I was told it was good, but I was going to rebuild it also, The car body needs work , there is rust in the usual places, bottom corner of doors and rear quarters, but not rusted thru, the floor pans need work right where your feet would sit,I Have included two new floor pans with car, the trunk also needs lower section replaced and I have a guy cutting this out for me now, the car itself is a VERY solid restorable car, I just do NOT have time to restore, but if it doesn't sell Quickly I am going to start back on it, all the glass is good,shaker hood included, The car is currently mostly apart, so will need to be picked up, it is about a 98% complete car, everything I have removed , I have bagged screws and marked etc. I have also included a new heater core, the car has the original wheels, and it does roll, I bought the car from a guy in Arizona, and I do Have a Clear KY title in my name for immediate transfer. I will post a few pictures tonight. It is in perfect condition and frankly I do not want to sell it. Everything is perfect except the left window motor connection has come lose which requires removing the door panel. I will get that done before delivery. This car has turned many a head and is beautiful. It has the leather seats and almost every option offered that year except the multiple cd player in the back hatch. It is only one cd at a time. Be sure that never bothered me when driving this dream machine. Another reason I hate to lose her is that it soon to be a classic. Collectors will know what I mean. This is a buccaneer red exterior with red and white interior. This is a very desirable color combo with air conditioning and the 455 250HP engine. The vin numbers 5th digit is Y code confirming a 455 auto car. The engine is a date code correct 250 HP 455. But not original to the car I was told. The engine was rebuilt and runs very well when warmed up. The 400 turbo and 10 bolt are still there. The floors quarters and trunk are all original and look to be in excellent condition with no signs of rust. I have had many of these cars and this one is the cleanest I have seen without major metal repairs. The paint is driver quality that is a good 10 footer. The interior looks good but needs some color matching and a radio installed. The wiring for the radio is there and uncut. The drivers side window crank is in need of replacement as it was a cheap reproduction and stripped. The car drives good and is tight for a forty year old car. The car has had major suspension work just completed. New control arm bushings, shocks, tie rods, ball joints, idler arm, control arm upper shafts that are offset and a Detroit speed front hollow sway bar. New front flex hoses and pads too. The rear has new leaf springs, bushings, shocks, Moser axles with wheel bearings, oil seals, brake shoes, hold down hardware, wheel cylinders. It only needs a alignment as I wanted to wait on the springs to settle. I have many parts that go with the car, compact spare, trim, original valve covers and air conditioning parts. I do have many receipts and PHS docs that confirm the cars trim tags from the previous owner. This is a great car for the money and could be worth much more with some work. I just washed a couple small spots under the car to show how well the under body will clean up after being 40 years old. I have no time and too many cars so I figured it's time to let some go.

I have all the original paper work including the window sticker, original contract with GMAC, all glove box informational pamphlets. Also have original three volume set of factory shop manuals for this car. And the factory build sheet New in boxes includes, PUI seat covers, PUI deluxe door panels, New carpet, New door-trunk and window seals by Soft Seals. Complete set of decals (gold). This car was taken out of service approximately 7 years ago. It is however started and moved around on a regular basis. Engine starts and runs smoothly. No cracked glass. The driver’s fender is rusted out behind the air dam due to a leaking battery years ago. I have an original GM replacement fender for that damage. The core support was also damaged due to the same situation; I also have a replacement core support. The car is very solid and only has minor damage here and there.
