Just like buying a new 1966 Pontiac - you're bidding on what we believe to be the finest example in the world 1966 Pontiac Star Chief Executive 4 door hardtop - we just had brand new meticulous matching Oxford White paint with clear coat completed - with only 39,480 original miles, it is probably the lowest mileage - this car is museum quality with original 389 CID GTO V8 with 4bbl carburetor with 10:1 compression ratio and 256 hp and 388 lb ft of torque @ 4,600 rpm - 3 speed Turbo Hydra Matic transmission with power steering and power brakes - this is one of only 10,583 Star Chief Executives produced in 1966 - all lights, gauges, turn signals, wipers, heater and original AM push button radio are in working order - the Ivy Gold interior is just like the exterior without flaws - the gold loop carpeting is excellent and even has the original Pontiac rubber floor mats front and rear - all the glass is excellent - the chrome bumpers and all stainless trim are excellent without rust or blemish - just recently tuned with new plugs, wires, distributor cap, condenser and all fluids changed and radiator flushed with new coolant - custom dual exhaust with 3" chrome tail pipes - rides on almost new American Silver 5000 P215/75 R14 steel belted radial white wall tires with the original full chrome hubcaps and spinners - the trunk is meticulous with the original spare tire, tire cover, tools, and trunk mat - comes with the original Pontiac Owner's Guide, Protection plan book with Protect-O-Plate. 1955 Pontiac Star Chief is one cool, eye-turning cruiser. One glance at this car and you will instantly understand the craftsmanship of the classic American car. Pontiac may not always get the press that some other GM products do, but many would argue this one has even more of a luxurious appearance. This beautiful ’55 has a stock style appearance but has been completely frame off restored by Motor City Steel in Detroit, MI. Further upgrades and customization completed by All Speed Customs in Muskegon Heights, MI. Virtually every single piece on the car was gone through and replaced or rebuilt to look like new. The body of the car is coated in original Green and White that has a great shine. One long-time car customizer called it “one of the best restorations that he has seen - a great example of classic ’50’s era design and craftsmanship.” This paired with all of the highly polished out chrome and trim work creates a very sleek looking exterior. Original wheels and hubcaps are found under all four corners and incorporate wide white wall tires for the perfect "classic" look. Getting those wheels spinning is a 316 c.i. Strato streak V8 that starts up smoothly and runs without issues. Opening the hood you will be transported back to 1955 because the engine was finished out to look as it would from the factory. The block has been painted in Green like it would be originally. The Valve covers are freshly painted and look great. Paired with the engine is a Strato-Flight Hydramatic transmission that shifts nice and smoothly. The interior of the car matches the exterior perfectly. The upholstery work is all in great shape and the bench seats both have plenty of padding. The dash of the car is topped with all of the stock style gauges, knobs, switches, etc and all are working properly - there is only one emblem missing from the passenger side of the dash. The trunk has been carpeted and finished out cleanly and is where you will find the original jack still in place and we have included some parts and service manuals to help keep the car original. Disk brakes have been added to the front wheels for upgraded stopping power! The only option it doesn’t include is power steering which can easily be added to it. Over $80k has been invested into this car’s restoration. Add this unique classic to your collection.

This big poncho was stored 4 decades ago while I was still in diapers. We had been trying to get it for a while and when the old dude wanted a re-fi on his house the starchief came our way. I know a fellow at the local yard that has restored his and its quite a sight. This is a very regal and elegant motorcar. The worst of the rust is in the trunk by the rear panel. The chief was parked on a cement pad, and old car covers and tarps were all around it. The car rolls easily and I will put it on a truck, train or boat and get it headed your way. I have not tried to start the car, It is going to need some effort put into that. The carb should be rebuilt and all tune up stuff changed out. Can you see a big project thru? not for the faint of heart. harris
