Mint Condition 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Turbo, 20th Anniversary Indy Pace Car, 100% all original with 799 miles! Original owner! This is 1 of only ever 1,555 made. My father bought the car brand new in Fall 1988 from Ridge Motors in Des Plaines, IL and has stored the car ever since, starting and running the engine frequently and driving on rare occasions just to keep the car fully performing. He recently shipped it to me in CA in an enclosed trailer. Car has been in storage since purchased new (heated stored during winters). Car is 100% factory condition! Car has been well-maintained and parts replaced as needed when the power antenna and rear hatch latching mechanisms stopped working. It is pristine and like new inside and out. When released in Fall 1988, this model was issued as a Collector's Item with such limited production (only 1,555 ever made), and was the Indy Pace Car in 1989. The power and performance was designed to be one of the fastest production cars at that time, with a 0-60 in 4.5 secs, and 1/4 times just under 12 secs. It would be an ideal collectable for some people, while being a thoroughbred Hot Rod enjoyed by others. The car comes with T-Tops and Holders, Pace Car Stickers, and Authentication Certificates in the original box as they have NEVER been put on the car. Hello, today we have for sale a 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 301 Turbo. The odometer reads 89,334, but we are unsure of the actual mileage and if the odometer is original to the car. We believe the motor and transmission are original, but are unable to verify.It has had a complete interior overhaul, was repainted 5 years ago, and a new vinyl sticker package (Nascar Pacecar). The motor runs strong, but smokes a little until it warms up. All the electronics work, except the power windows are quite weak. Also has new rear brake rotors, brake pads (front and rear), aluminum radiator, heater core, T-top and door weatherstripping, and restored turbo-fan wheels with new tires. New speakers have also been installed in the stock locations. There is a small patch of bondo on the passenger door that was cracked and has been repaired, and the door itself sags a little bit. The body is otherwise pretty straight with little to no rust. The car has its original air conditioning system, but it either needs to be recharged or converted to R134a. The hood isn't color correct for the Nascar vinyl package. The car recently passed smog and the title is clear.This car is also listed on the local Craigslist.

Car is In Kingsburg California, 20 miles south of Fresno. 1978 PONTIAC TRANS AM 71161 miles California Car T TOPS. Been stored under a covered patio since 1988 ( until now & it is outside now ). No motor. No transmission. Title was lost long ago but it is not in the computer as last tagged in 1988 / comes with bill of sale only. I work with estates & this was a 1 owner car as I have every registration since new. I don't see any rust on the car other than a spot by drivers door where the paint chipped off & it has only surface rust there. The hood was stripped of paint long ago & is down to the primer & has some light surface rust. The only parts I have for it are in trunk & by hood in pictures. Interior still looks good but is dusty. Headliner is falling in rear part of it laying on back seat. It is a project but as far as projects go it is a nice start. Drivers door isn't unlocking with key or with inside lock. Door handle on drivers side is broken. If you are having the car picked up I have no problem storing the car at my house while pick up arrangements are made so long as car is paid for.

The Firebird was introduced the same year as the automaker's platform-sharing model, the Chevrolet Camaro. This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared its platform with another pony car, the Ford Mustang.   1979 version of the Firebird     The front end was restyled in 1979. It also marked the 10th Anniversary of the Trans Am, and a special anniversary package was made available: silver paint with gray upper paint accents and a silver leather interior. The 10th Anniversary cars also featured a special Firebird hood decal, which extended off of the hood and onto the front fenders. Pontiac produced 7,500 10th Anniversary cars, of which 1,817 were equipped with the Pontiac 400 engine (and coupled with the four-speed Borg Warner Super T-10 transmission). The only option on these cars was the engine (the 400 was not certified for California, nor was cruise control available with it), which dictated the transmission and the gear ratio (3.23 on the 400 cars, 2.73 on the 403 cars). In 1979 Pontiac sold 116,535 Trans Ams, the highest sold in a year.   Up until the 1979 models, the performance of 400-equipped Firebirds could still be brought up to near pre-1970 levels by removing the catalytic converter and opening up the block off plate to make the hood scoop functional. Static compression ratios dropped in the early 70s which crippled horsepower and torque output.   This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am has a 4.9-liter 302 engine. It is all original including paint and interior. It has had all scheduled maintenance. 2 owners with only 53,859 original miles. Always garaged. New BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. It has been a reliable turn key driver. Passes California smog with no issues. 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, V8 403, 6.6 Liter engine , SE suspension package, all original car, engine block and parts are period correct, I have the original build sheet and stacks of receipts for parts and repairs. Have receipt for a new AC compressor that was installed a couple years ago. Rebuilt automatic transmission, original black paint, gold decals, camel cloth interior. All stock except for a power starter and an oversized aluminum radiator. New battery, front tires, JVC Blue Tooth stereo with Amp and speakers. Odometer reads 38K, I believe the engine and transmission were rebuilt at 100K, This Trans Am has been an incredibly strong and reliable car, car comes with a Cobra CB, ready to install.
