Up for sale is my 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. Ive had it for about 2 years now but can no longer afford to continue to restore it. Car runs very well, I used it as a daily driver for a short time. To the best of my knowledge, it has no major mechanical problems. The paint is only about a year old. There are a couple of small chips in it. Dash is in good shape with no cracks. I have the rear Trans Am decal that goes above the license plate but i have never put it on. There is a kill switch wired into it under the dash. Feel free to email with any questions. 1997 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 5.7 liter V8 engine: It runs great! Its a lot of fun to drive but if you overdo the gas you will easily fishtail if your not use to the power. Unfortunately, I have 2 vehicles and have just had this car sitting in the drive way. I do turn it on and drive it occasionally. It has new spark plugs and all 4 oxygen sensors new with header extensions due to Pacesetter long tube headers (non-coated). I changed all the rubber hoses for the cooling system a week ago, new water pump, new thermostat. The headlight motors do work sometimes or you can just turn the crank on it and it picks up the headlights.There is a dent to the passenger side rear panel by the door, a dent to the driver side rear panel that can be fixed easily with those suction tool things from Autozone. The paint on the hood is faded. It is the original paint. All locks and handle work. Might be missing Trans Am door decal to passenger side door and the High Performance decal with WS-6 logo in the rear passenger side bumper. Their is also a cutoff attachment i had placed on it when it was without header. No engine modifications done its all original except for headers. The interior could use some sprucing up to the front seats and rear back support seat. The driver side has power seats that still work along with lumbar support functions and tilt functions. I replaced the original cd player with a JVC cd player(aftermarket). The vehicle came with a mulitple cd changer in the truck. Still worked before i changed the cd player. The windshield has cracks and stickers still up to date. Original spare tire and jack in the trunk along with the t-top slot supports for when you want to drive topless. God that is so much fun. The car has no mechanical issues. Unfortunately it wasn't garage kept and has baked in our hot weather down here in Laredo, TX. Tint on the door windows is legal tint. I am selling it as is. You won't find another working as great as this one is.

1986 Pontiac trans am, 305 tuned port injected, 189xxx miles, automatic. The story behind this car- this was my high school car, the stories it could tell oh my! In 2005 it started needing a few things, tires, shocks, alignment, little things. I was just barely getting my life on track so I didn't have the money up front to put $1500 of parts in it, plus I was needing a pickup so I financed a cheap pickup and parked the trans am behind my grandpas shop. One day he was burning tumble weeds in his pit, gust of wind came thru picked a burning tumble weed out of the pit and lit the grass on fire which took a straight line shot straight for my car! It melted the front bumper, head light wiring, all the plastic up front and took the paint off the one fender, it did not get any part of the motor or the wiring of the motor! In 2011 my grandpa passed and I had to move the car, the city didn't like it parked outside so I had to sell it. I sold it to a gentleman in 2012 and bought it back a short time later. While the other guy had it he replaced a head light, I don't remember if he put a new wiring harness in for the headlights or not I wanna say he did, and he did have it running again. Since I have had it back I have not touched it, it has been parked in a storage unit for the last 3 years. Now for the kicker....when I sold it I signed a clear title over, when I bought it back he signed a clear title back over to me, before I was able to make it to the court house to transfer the title into my name I totaled my pickup, I believe the title was left in the glove box of my pickup. I am trying to find the previous owner to have him file for a lost title. So there is a few options, 1 we can try to contact the previous owner and get a title, or 2 it can be built into a drag strip car and raced (which I would personally LOVE to see!) I have never shipped a vehicle before if you decide to have it shipped I would have to have you set everything up, or if you are within a decent distance and would reimburse some expense to meet I would do that. Matching 455ci Pontiac engine hooked to its 400 TH transmission , this car is a bone stock 100% original paint that is in unbelievable condition with no checking on typical areas like the hood or the roof, First year of steel belted tires, this car wears it's original white band Uniroyal tires and Rally wheels, we assume the car was standing on blocks when sitting because the tires are in like new condition with no signs of cracking or aging....what a car! The original interior you could say is flawless, perfect dash pad that has no cracks or fade, fully functional gauges, cold A/C and all the power of the original drive train! The underside was Ziebarted when new (see invoice at the bottom of this listing) but most of the undercoating is light and only visible on top of inner fenders when you open the hood. This possibly the best untouched , unmolested 73 TA on the planet, as far as ownership goes: FIRST OWNER FROM 73 TO 1976, car so meticulously kept by him that he even kept notes of every time he put gas/ oil. battery or whatever the car needed, second owner from 76 to present kept car properly stored, no other Trans Am we have seen is so well documented, full factory books and original window sticker, the best of the best on survivor category, period. 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans am The History... This car was purchased by the original owner back in 1982. The second owner purchased the vehicle in 1983 at about 3,000 miles. He drove the vehicle on and off for a while. He was having trouble with the Cross-Fire Injection preforming the way it should. So he had professionals take out the Cross-Fire Injection, and install a non-computerized carb system. I have the original receipts to show all the work done. This system was installed in 1985. The car was used on the weekends and special occasions until 2004 when it was De-registered and put into storage til recently. Back in 1988, another car rolled into the driver's side fender. It was not reported but it was professionally repaired. You will notice that the TRANS AM decal was never re-installed above the air vent. He was going to keep it and pass it to his kids but they were not interested in it, so that is when I purchased it. I'm selling it due to personal issues. The original '82 owners manual, radio manual, and sheet about the T-top shades also included. This is not a perfect show car, however this is the best Trans am I have seen and driven in years. Exterior... The paint is original, minus the driver's fender that was repaired in 1988. The paint looks good, but you can tell many imperfections like areas wear the paint has got hard and cracked, and is not "show quality". Noted imperfections are on the front bumper, and minor nick smaller then a dime. Next the drivers door has a 8" line below the guard, and a small 6" scratch on the left rear quarter panel. The door mirrors and the spoiler are black and faded. There is no rust on this ARIZONA car, except a small dime size area by the passenger T-top seal. The front license plate frame is missing, but the brackets are on the bumper. Lights work as they should, however every once and a while the passenger headlight sticks in the up position. Comes with the Original 15" Wheels with Dunlop P215 65 R15 tires(with lots of tread left). I have 3 original bowling ball hubcaps, I'm including a aftermarket replacement for the 4th. The caps need to be refinished and painted. The hood shocks work great and holds fine. Interior... This car has the original DOESKIN TAN "Knight Rider" interior. The seats are in great shape with no tears, the back covers are separating slightly. These are the non-power seats. The carpets/ and original GM mats have stains, and the drivers foot area plastic is torn. The seat belts are in good working order, but the drivers plastic has a bit of damage. The Console lid has pealed up do to the ARIZONA heat, and will need to be replaced. the dash has a black cover, but is cracked as well. The gauges, and radio work perfectly (even the tape deck). The power antenna does not work, and needs to be pulled up manually. The rear cargo area is in great condition, and includes the spare, T-top bag etc. The rear hatch shocks need to be replaced. The glass was tinted back in the 80's so there are imperfections. The glass is all in nice shape except for a nick in the windshield(smaller then a dime). Power windows work fine, door and glass rubber is in bad shape. Power locks work but are sluggish. T-tops are in nice shape, the weatherstripping is a bit hard. The driver's sun visor is missing, and also the Firebird emblem that goes on the driver's door panel is missing. Doors close like if they were new off the lot, no sagging. Drivetrain... This is the original 305 V8 motor noted by the Pontiac blue color. Less then 29,000 miles on the motor. The automatic trans is also original. Since the computer was removed the trans has a switch located next to the knee bolster that controls the overdrive. All the original components are there for the emissions, which is why it still passed. Only thing missing is the EGR valve. The motor runs fine, does have some oil leaking from valve covers due to sitting. The carb is a Carter brand carb. It was taken to the mechanic, they told me it works however it should be replaced with an Edelbrock carb to increase performance due to age. A/C blows cold, I recharged the system but really needs to be cleaned out new seals and recharged. The trans shifts smoothly as it should. The rear seal of the trans leaks a bit. The 4-wheel disc brake system feels a bit soft to me. Fluids have been changed recently. The steering works as it should real smooth. Suspension works, but car has been sitting and may need shocks replaced. Exhaust is original dual outlet system with the catalytic converter. This carbed system was professionally installed with the HEI ignition and was done right, and passed emissions. I have gone over everything I can think of. Please ask any questions before bidding! Beautiful 1984 trans am. I am 3rd owner, it was painted in 2006, has been garaged, only driven on weekends or to shows. The body is in very good condition, no dents or scratches. Some very minor road nicks. This car had new drive train and power plant installed in 2014. It has a new GM performance parts crate E-Rod engine and 4l60e transmission as well as a 12bolt 373 ratio rear end. It is fuel injected, puts out 430hp, is 50 state legal!!! It has been reinforced from front to back to be able to withstand the torque the LS-3 delivers. I have had the car since 2006, and it has been a California car forever.It has never been smoked in as well. The engine has approx 1200 mi on it and was professionally installed by a well known local shop. It was originally equipped with only front disc brakes, but I added rear discs for extra safety.The tires on it are an o e m size for the GTA models and it has GTA rims on it as well.
