1974 ½ MGBGT for sale in a very unusual color – citron. This is a wire wheel, overdrive car. It retains it original interior and the dash is not cracked and the seat fabric is still very good. This, last year of import, BGT comes with the original title and also the original bill of sale. It has all the warranty, “passport” info and the car was dealer serviced up to 60,000 miles. The car now has 78,900 miles. It has been repainted (the original color) at some point. It does not appear to have ever suffered collision damage. Someone has done some very sloppy body work on the doglegs and the bottom of the front fenders. The castle section and inner sill on the drivers side need replaced. The right side has some rust but, I think, the castle and sill can be salvaged. The trunk area is solid. The engine compartment is nice and original color. The engine does run but will require a tuneup, etc. Start up oil pressure is 75psi. All of the gauges and switches are good. It has good wire wheels and great tires. The exhaust system is intact. There were only about 1000 of these cars brought into the USA, before the MGBGT was no longer imported. This is the last year. It still has all the pollution equipment. It comes with the spare wheel and tire, the original jack, the knockoff wrench and original hammer. It also comes with a loose-leaf binder full of documentation. I am selling this car “as is”, with no implied warranty. Please call 410 788 0530 or 310 746 8299 with any questions. The car is located in Catonsville, Maryland. A $500.00 non refundable deposit required 48 hours after auction’s end, balance due within 10 days.

If you are familiar with the story of the MGB GT V8, then you will be impressed with this vehicle. This 1974 MGB GTV8 is built as a tribute to both the effort that Ken Costello exerted in building the first V8 powered MGBs and one of the 7 factory left hand drive V8s imported to the states. Please note the following about this vehicle: · Straight, clean 1974.5 MGB GT built in October 1974 VIN GHD5UE362059G, Commission Number: G23D080735, Body Number: GU23D 00231GP;· Correct 215CI, 3.5L Aluminum V8. The block number is HI305245 which is the 1-year only (62’) 190HP@4,800 rpm 11:1 compression engine. This is the same engine Costello attempted to persuade British Leyland to use in the GT V8. Please note that is fed by an Edelbrock or Holley (?) 600cfm 4 barrel carburetor instead of the factory SU set up;· Factory brass top MGB GTV8 radiator and overflow canister;· Electric fan;· Factory 4spd overdrive transmission with 3rd gear lock out;· 5 correct Dunlop composite alloy factory MGB GT V8 wheels;· New tires (less than 1,000 miles);· Damask Red paint that looks impressive from 3 feet;· As a whole, this is a clean and well appointed interior including black vinyl seats with new foam and coverings (front and rear) mounted over grey carpet with grey headliner. · White Smith gauges;· New interior panels and switches;· Proper MGB GT V8 badging;· Leather wrapped small steering wheel for increased responsiveness;· 4 wheel tube shocks and proper ride height;· All glass and seals are in above average shape and/or have been replaced;· Later model vacuum assist brakes;· New battery;· Former museum vehicle; We would like to point out the following observations: · Passenger front fender has slight cracking in the paint. Does not appear to be “Bondo” cracking. Two small to get a photograph of and cannot be seen from 3 feet. It is there however;· Speedometer works but does not read correctly. I recommend having recalibrated;· Brakes work and are serviceable. I like the feel of non-vacuum, servo style brakes and am not used to the “consistent soft feel” of these. Of 23 MGs I have owned, I have only had one other with these brakes. It was the same way. I am told they are correct. They work, the car stops quickly and in a straight line. I point it out because it is something I would want to address out of preference and we want to be as transparent as possible in representing our vehicles. Overall this is one of the best built V8 MGBs we have come across. It is not a restro-mod. Aside from the carb and intake you have to know what to look for to know it is not a factory car. Car is in exceptional mechanical condition. I just completed a long weekend at the Texas MG gathering in Tyler (car placed 2nd in show) along with several shorter trips. Car runs and drives beautifully. One of the most modern feels of any MG I have owned. I would have no hesitation driving this vehicle anywhere. Feel welcome to contact me. There is no reserve. Please don't ask "what will we take?" We will take the asking price. We are open to other offers and we are going to sell the vehicle to someone who appreciates it. If you would like to buy the vehicle, make an offer and we can dialogue about the price and/or any possible trades you may have. You never know, we might accept your first offer! Please know you will not offend us, however, this is arguably one of the nicest, cleanest, most well appointed factory style V8 MGs to be offered in the recent past. MKII Motorsports is a small, family owned entity dealing in British and other unique sports cars. You can find us on the web at mkiimotorsports.com We are gearheads that enjoy Saturday night drive-ins and Sunday morning back roads. Please note these terms which are part of this sale: · You are welcome to have the vehicle inspected at out location by appointment. Bid with confidence; · Unlike many, we do not operate with “open titles”. We legally own every vehicle we sell. We are a licensed and bonded dealer in the State of Texas. We do not however “add on” extra fees; · Sale for vehicles leaving Texas are tax exempt and require an affidavit of fact. 6.25% sales tax will be added to vehicles staying in Texas. Sorry, that’s the law and part of operating above board; · All vehicles are As-Is, Where Is. We do not offer any warranties, third party or otherwise. · Shipping is not included, however we are more than happy to assist your shipper. We do sell overseas/internationally. Just let us know how we can help. · Funds must clear before the vehicle can leave. Period. This includes cashier’s checks. Cash or wire transfer through Wells Fargo are preferred. We will let you know when the funds clear and you will have 7 additional days to retrieve the vehicle. Afterwards, we reserve the right to charge $25.00/day for storage. Our insurance does not cover your vehicle so when you buy it, get insurance in place please; · If we have a dispute of any kind, we will try to work it out. If not, this sale will be subject to the laws of Denton County, State of Texas and any and all claims are limited to the amount no greater than the final sales price of the vehicle; · This vehicle may be for sale locally and/or through other entities. We reserve the right to end it at anytime; · Finally, the deposit is non-refundable. This is why we do not ask for a % of the sale, rather a nominal fee. If you change your mind, we incur expenses and more time. We think that is fair. Enjoy and happy motoring- Bryan & Karen Hutchinson, MKII Motorsports

1974 MGB GT with only 65k original miles This classic is fully sorted and ready to roll - runs and drives excellent. Last year for the coveted and rare GT body style in the US - hard to find in this condition.Full details below. More photos available. Questions and inspections welcomed. Thanks for looking! Operational:This classic really is a treat to drive/own. It starts easy, and settles into a low loping idle. Clutch, shifting, braking and steering are all crisp - no slop or play. Mechanicals:This MG is equipped with its original 1.8 liter I-4 engine, with dual SU carbs. It is backed by a synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission. Disc brakes on all four corners. No noted engine leaks, rattles, smoking...runs smooth and pulls strong. Good oil pressure, and runs cool. Clutch engages cleanly, and at the correct pedal height - easy to drive - very smooth. Shifter feels great - very positive feedback...no slop. Recent tires and exhaust. Accessories:No issues to detract from the experience - all the gauges, blinkers, lights, wipers, horn work as they should. The original AM/FM radio is definitely 'lo-fi', but does work well and adds to the time machine-y experience. The windows go up an down easy, the locks all work smoothly, the seat belts work properly, the seat releases are smooth...even the console vanity light works. This one is ready to hit the road. Exterior:This survivor car has obviously been well-loved all its 40+ years. The body is very straight, and does not exhibit any indication of collision. The body gaps are all pretty good, and doors/hood/hatch all open and close smoothly. The car appears to have had a single respray in it's original shade of Bracken. The paint retains a nice shine and depth, but does have issues under close inspection. There are several notable chips and scratches, and the paint has bubbled in a few spots. I believe the glass is all original - it has a nice subtle tint to it, and has no cracks or delamination anywhere. The wheels and trim are also believed to be all original...they present well, with some expected patina. Interior:The inside of this MG is tidy and inviting. The dash, door panels, headliner and flooring are all original and in good shape, with some minor signs of wear. The seats have been recovered, and feel and look good. The material is very similar to the original, though these are missing the relief stitching and other details. All the original knobs, levers, hinges etc are in place and working like they should. There is one notable ding in the dash in front of the passenger, and there is a small section of the steering wheel wrap that is patched with tape. Extras:This car comes complete with its original spare and jack/tool kit, a matching set of mint original '74 Texas license plates, a car cover, and some under-hood insulation panels (need to be installed).

We replaced all gaskets in motor except head gasket - over $2400,00 was spent on parts from the gas tank to new tires, water pump, starter, electronic ignition, clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder, all hoses, battery, ignition wires, spark plugs. I have taken several short trips 30-40 miles, and always made it home. The worst thing about the car is the paint. It has been painted at least three times over its life, and I am not a body and fender man so I didn't attempt to hide the rust under trim on the rocker and wanted it to represent what it really is. I hope who ever purchases it, will finish it and give it a great home! -It is a 1970 MGBGT according to Serial number and the DMV. - I do not have the chrome bumpers. The bumpers were on the car when our family purchased it in the early 90's.

1974 MGB GT Fully Restored!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1974 MGB GT that is in excellent condition and has been restored beautifully by the previous owner!!!! C This gorgeous MGB GT features one of the nicest restorations I have seen on an MG with a no expense spared restoration. The previous owner did an absolutely amazing job with the restoration of this car. He is an engineer who was building the car for himself and really went the extra mile on the car. Take a look at all the photos and you will see a beautiful bare metal paint job, a stunning interior featuring beautiful wood paneling a modern radio and even heated seats. Look into the engine bay and you will see all new wiring and stainless hardware. This MGB has had a no expense restoration with upgrades along the such as a fully rebuilt engine including pistons and bearings and a brand new aluminum cylinder head, fully powder coated suspension with urethane bushings, custom stereo and an absolutely beautiful paint job on an beautiful rust free body!!! The MG has been gone through from tip to tale and from top to bottom with every single component being replaced, restored or upgraded. According to the previous owner there was almost nothing left untouched. One look at this car and you will realize that this MG is not like many other MGB GTs in the world. This is something special and the car just has that great crisp look to it, with its beautiful paint job, great stance, gorgeous interior and tons of tasteful upgrades. Tens of thousands of dollars has been put into this car and hundreds of hours. To replicate this car would cost at least double the asking price. The car has been driven since completion and the car drives excellent and is very reliable. This is a rust free classic MG and it is even nicer in person than it is in the pictures. This car has been very well cared for and it shows. This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years!!! The paint job on this car was completed to a high standard and looks excellent. The car was completely disassembled, hood, trunk, doors, glass, trim etc.. was all removed, taken down to bare metal and painted separately. Even the bottom side of the body car was stripped down and repainted as well. Even the bottom side of the floor pans were painted exterior color. This was an incredibly rust free car and the floors have no patches and ll of the jacking points and sills on the car are completely unmolested and rust free The body is LASER straight and looks beautiful. All of the rubber seals were replaced after the car was painted and are all in great condition. Many many many man hours were spend getting the doors and panels perfectly aligned and working with amazing precision. The paint job on this car alone exceeds the cost of many classic MGs. This is a car that you could bring to a local car show and show it with pride, or you could go on great weekend drives in. Overall the exterior is in excellent shape showing minor use since restoration with only a few touched up areas. Click to enlarge Interior: The classic tan interior of this MG is BETTER than new and in excellent condition. The front and rear seats are like new and in excellent shape featuring correct cloth upholstery. One very nice addition to the seats is the fact that the car has HEATED SEATS!! The seats are free of stains, rips and tears. When the seats were reupholstered all of the foam was replaced as well. The carpet is new and in excellent shape. The dash is in perfect condition as it was a brand new fresh dash and is free of cracks etc... In-fact all of the dash pieces have been replaced and are brand new. Every courtesy light, every gauge etc... are all in great working order. A wood steering wheel and wood paneling has been added to the car, and while typically I am not a fan of these... it looks stunning on this car and the overall effect of the added wood and chrome to the interior gives the interior a much more upscale look than the standard B. It really reminds me of a Jag or Healey! There is a Ipod hookup in the center console and there is a great sounding stereo installed that is a modern radio made to look a bit retro so it doesn't stand out in the cabin. This really is the ultimate MGB GT. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful and is a great place to waste the weekend away. This engine has been completely rebuilt and detailed to a showroom like finish. The engine runs beautifully. It always starts and runs excellent just like a modern car. This engine has had lots of money poured and into it and features an upgraded aluminum cylinder head. The car runs GREAT!!! The engine bay was sandblasted and refinished to a high standard and is truly show quality. The cars transmission shifts beautifully with no grinding between the gears and the clutch and flywheel was replaced as part of the restoration. In fact, practically every single system of the car was rebuilt or replaced. The exhaust is all new, new carb, all new suspension refinished both cosmetically and mechanically, all the hydraulics were replaced, all new brakes, new brake lines... I mean from tip to tale not a single thing was over looked. The engine sounds great with its exhaust exiting under the rear valance. The car runs nice and cool even in Arizona's hot and dry climate. The car steers beautifully with fully rebuilt suspension and the car tracks perfectly down the road. The bottom side of this B is as well finished as the top side. I can not stress enough at how every inch of this car has been gone through and virtually every component rebuilt or replaced. This car would cost at least twice as much to duplicate! This Bis truly turn key and ready for its next owner!!! Click to enlarge Classic British Sports car are getting more and more desireable and collectable. Offered for sale is an excellent example of an original split rear bumper 1970 MGB GT non-overdrive. This car was bought new in California, and has only recently been brought out of the state. It is extremely solid and straight, with no signs of any collision damage. The car had a partial re-spray early in its life, and matches the existing original paint well. This GT runs and drives great, and goes down the road smoothly. It was well cared for and maintained regularly. Recent items include: new carpets, new seat covers (due to the originals being cracked from the California sun), calipers, rotors, brake pads, brake hoses. This is a great opportunity to own a fantastic original west coast MGB. Call or email with questions. 712-944-4900.

The body on the car is straight with no dents. There is some rust in the usual places. The bottom of a door, an outer wheel well, a small hole in the bottom of drivers side fender (see the pics). Its not very much and can be repaired pretty quickly. Then its ready for paint. The engine is NOT original. Its an 18V659M engine from an early 70s MG (better performance). But it looks like it will fire up once the breathers are put on and the radiator and gas lines are connected. The interior is all there. The seats and door panels are in OK condition and just need a thorough cleaning. It could use new carpet and a dash pad. The gauges will have to be cleaned up, etc. This car comes with tons of extra MG parts to complete the restoration and possibly another car: Front windshield to replace the cracked one New front and rear windshield weatherstripping Original chrome wire wheel (the spare is on the car now) Another dented wire wheel (unusable) with extra spokes if needed The grille for the car The original bumpers and a spare front bumper All the trim and lights for the car 3 front valances (the light blue one is the one to use) The original breathers The radiator An extra MG engine head (maybe the original?) Extra dual carburetors with intake and breathers An alternator Extra starters An extra cam Water pump Crank pulleys Other misc parts This will be a beautiful car when its restored. I have included some pics of a restored car in the slideshow below. DECODING: VIN: GHD3L120672 = MG BMC B-Series Engine 1.8L MGB GT MK1 1962-67 LHD SN:120672

Carol Shelby had it right, Put American power into a lite British car and hang on. Chevy Vortec V-6 HO, T-5 Trans with a 12 bolt rear end. Put this all in a lite weight 71 MGB GT and let the good times roll. Been in storage for awhile, connected the battery, let the fuel pump put some fuel in the carb and Fired right up. Put some air in the tires and was running through the canyon roads close to my house 10 minutes later. Beautiful Ride thru the Lake Elizabeth valley, Mazda 3 pulls out in front of me, down shift to 4th bye bye. Took some of these photos at the poppy reserve in Southern California. 50 mile round trip without a hitch other than the trans was a little noisy for the first 10 miles or so then quieted down. Gonna get that looked at. Not a perfect car, wish list would be fix all the gauges. Only the temp and oil work at this time. GET BETTER BRAKES!!! They stop, but with that added power they need to stop better. Make the suspension better. Beat a Honda 2000 thru the canyon once but only because of the exit power this car has, the cornering so-so. Shelby Cobras had the same problem, I had one. There are a couple of nicks in the paint here and there but I think it gives the car character. "OL 22". I bought this car on e-bay 3 years ago. Owner fibbed, the only thing holding it together where zip ties. We took off about 50 of em. They where everywhere. Everything is now connected the way it should be. When I bought the car it had a Georgia license plate and still does. Got a Certified bill of sale as Georgia does not do title and a registration certificate. All numbers match on Bill of Sale, Registration and VIN/Body. I haven't titled it yet in Arizona as most of my time with this car has been repair. Wasn't happy at first, got to admit but now it is hard to put up for sale. Own too many cars ( it's a sickness ) and some have to go so reluctantly selling this car. Any questions e-mail me and I will do my best to answer ( I won't fib ) Hate getting burned. Any bidder with less then 10 needs to contact me before bidding or I will block you, like I said, Hate getting burned

I've spent a couple years going completely through this beauty. Please note, it's not a trailer-queen, I drive it. And boy, it drives fantastic. I put in a rebuilt 280ZX 5-speed, all new rear-end gears, bearings, all new brake components. Engine is strong. Pertronix Electronic Distributor. New clutch, obviously, and reduction starter. All gauges reconditioned, calibrated, or new. Everything works. Just finished new headliner. All interior (except rear seat, which I have but never use) is new. This car turns heads, is great even on the highway. Turns 2500 RPM at 60! ALL new Wheels and hubs (splines were worn) I have over $15k invested in this car, I know, I know, but all the hard/expensive work is done. I left the exterior as I got it. Very nice, brightwork looks to be original. Not a show car, but I'd say 8 out of 10. MAYBE I'd put a new rear bumper on it. Great car, too many in the barn....
