The MGB\'s performance was considered smooth at the time of its introduction, with a 0 to 60 mph time of barely more than 11 seconds. Currently being sold as NO RESERVE!This car handles well as control was one of the MGB\'s keys to upgrade over the MGA. The engine was upgraded in October 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft in an effort to improve reliability. The majority of MGBs were exported to the United States. In 1974, as U.S. air pollution emission standards became more rigorous, U.S.-market MGBs were de-tuned for compliance.The MGB was one of the first cars to feature controlled crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger in a 30 mph impact with an immovable, 200-ton barrier.In late 1967, changes were made to create the Mark II model. Changes included synchromesh on all 4 gears with revised ratios, an optional Borg-Warner automatic gearbox (except in the U.S.), a new rear axle and an alternator in place of the dynamo with a change to a negative earth system. To accommodate the new gearboxes there were significant changes to the sheet metal in the floorpan, and a new flat-topped transmission tunnel. All models are rear-wheel drive. To meet US safety regulations, later North American exports got three windscreen wipers instead of just two (to sweep the required percentage of the glass), and also received a plastic and foam rubber covered \"safety\" dashboard, dubbed the \"Abingdon pillow.\" Other markets continued with the steel dashboard. Rubery Owen ROStyle wheels were introduced to replace the previous pressed steel versions in 1969 and reclining seats were standardized in 1970.MotoeXotica had one of these sought-after Mark II MGBs in stock, and it sold in a few days. Driving this is a pleasure because of an upgraded five-speed synchronized gearbox with overdrive with a price tag of more than $3,000.If you are experiencing a taste of classic English weather with some drizzle, the saddle vinyl top has excellent stitching with clear windows in impeccable shape to keep your head dry and safe. The glistening chrome bumpers give a feel of British design original to the vehicle.The interior has been restored to a fabulous degree. The saddle vinyl seats match the top, and the black piping gives the seats an excellent look. You can listen to the Rolling Stones, Beatles or the Who with the after-market Pioneer stereo (P410UB) AM/FM CD player. There are also Pioneer speakers on the two doors of this classic English roadster.There are no cracks in the dash of the gorgeous model MotoeXotica has. The steering wheel is Nardi with a smooth wood finish. Even though the steering wheel looks great, the horn is inoperable. All the lights - headlights and turn signals - work, and so do the unique three-arm wipers.The engine is a 1,798 cc (1.8 L) upgraded with a Weber side draft carburetor. This engine is also improved with an engine oil cooler and electric fan. These modifications will give you that nice feeling of a drive on the English countryside or the White Cliffs of Dover on the coastline. There is an after-market header leading into a Pace Setter exhaust system which sounds absolutely wonderful and, of course, the upgraded mini-lite wheels.Make this classic Brit yours and experience motoring across the pond anywhere in the world!
