It takes a brave man to paint an MGB black, or at least one confident in his bodywork, and it certainly shows here. It's the product of an exceptionally thorough restoration that turned this fun British roadster into a cut-above prize-winner (it already has taken home some nice trophies in the last few years.) That's because all of the usual concerns have been addressed – the doors fit well, the hood is flush, and the decklid sits right, framed by a pair of gorgeous MGB taillights. All the details are there, from the MG badges on the nose and tail, to the chrome sport mirrors and polished gas cap. Chrome bumper cars are popular with MG enthusiasts due to their classic roadster looks, and against the black paint, the brightwork on this prize sparkles and glitters like something very, very expensive. And speaking of chrome and expensive, the 72-spoke wire wheels are the kind of craftsmanship that create attraction from a distance, and create awe up-close. These were hand-built cars, and this one really sets the example of how they all should be.

I am selling my 1974 MGB. 1974 was the last year for the steel bumper MGB. This car is very much original right down to the leyland radio and rostyle wheels with original aluminum bands which are very rare and impossible to find. The original colors have been changed to red and black. The car is equipped with AC but the AC does not work. I have not seen many of these with the AC option. This car has been in Franklin Co. GA. since it was purchased new in 74 so of course there is no rust. I bought it a few years ago from the second owner who had it for 30 years. The car is garage kept, in great condition, runs and drives perfectly. All lights work perfectly. Please note the details below. The car was recently painted in beautiful red and has the following: new tires 185/70-14 new black convertible top new black carpet new black custom leather on the seats new polished and wood steering wheel (the original steering wheel will also go with the car along with the original key) new K&N dual air filters, new spark plugs, new ignition wires, new starter, new alternator, new brake lines

The MGB\'s performance was considered smooth at the time of its introduction, with a 0 to 60 mph time of barely more than 11 seconds. This car handles well as control was one of the MGB\'s keys to upgrade over the MGA. The engine was upgraded in October 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft in an effort to improve reliability. The majority of MGBs were exported to the United States. In 1974, as U.S. air pollution emission standards became more rigorous, U.S.-market MGBs were de-tuned for compliance. The MGB was one of the first cars to feature controlled crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger in a 30 mph impact with an immovable, 200-ton barrier. In late 1967, changes were made to create the Mark II model. Changes included synchromesh on all 4 gears with revised ratios, an optional Borg-Warner automatic gearbox (except in the U.S.), a new rear axle and an alternator in place of the dynamo with a change to a negative earth system. To accommodate the new gearboxes there were significant changes to the sheet metal in the floorpan, and a new flat-topped transmission tunnel. All models are rear-wheel drive. To meet US safety regulations, later North American exports got three windscreen wipers instead of just two (to sweep the required percentage of the glass), and also received a plastic and foam rubber covered \"safety\" dashboard, dubbed the \"Abingdon pillow.\" Other markets continued with the steel dashboard. Rubery Owen ROStyle wheels were introduced to replace the previous pressed steel versions in 1969 and reclining seats were standardized in 1970.MotoeXotica had one of these sought-after Mark II MGBs in stock, and it sold in a few days. Luckily, we have another one in our showroom. This time, the 1969 MGB Roadster Mark II is in the desirable British Racing Green color. The paint is a beautiful BRG and will invigorate any drive in this true classic sports car. Driving this is a pleasure because of an upgraded five-speed synchronized gearbox with overdrive with a price tag of more than $3,000.If you are experiencing a taste of classic English weather with some drizzle, the saddle vinyl top has excellent stitching with clear windows in impeccable shape to keep your head dry and safe. The glistening chrome bumpers give a feel of British design original to the vehicle. The interior has been restored to a fabulous degree. The saddle vinyl seats match the top, and the black piping gives the seats an excellent look. You can listen to the Rolling Stones, Beatles or the Who with the after-market Pioneer stereo (P410UB) AM/FM CD player. There are also Pioneer speakers on the two doors of this classic English roadster. There are no cracks in the dash of the gorgeous model MotoeXotica has. The steering wheel is Nardi with a smooth wood finish. Even though the steering wheel looks great, the horn is inoperable. All the lights - headlights and turn signals - work, and so do the unique three-arm wipers. The engine is a 1,798 cc (1.8 L) upgraded with a Weber side draft carburetor. This engine is also improved with an engine oil cooler and electric fan. These modifications will give you that nice feeling of a drive on the English countryside or the White Cliffs of Dover on the coastline. There is an after-market header leading into a Pace Setter exhaust system which sounds absolutely wonderful and, of course, the upgraded mini-lite wheels.Make this classic Brit yours and experience motoring across the pond anywhere in the world! This MG\'s odometer currently shows 78,769 miles. This is believed to be actual, however, it is exempt due to age. The VIN is GHN4U166239G. GET OUT AND DRIVE! Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
