Carol Shelby had it right, Put American power into a lite British car and hang on. Chevy Vortec V-6 HO, T-5 Trans with a 12 bolt rear end. Put this all in a lite weight 71 MGB GT and let the good times roll. Been in storage for awhile, connected the battery, let the fuel pump put some fuel in the carb and Fired right up. Put some air in the tires and was running through the canyon roads close to my house 10 minutes later. Beautiful Ride thru the Lake Elizabeth valley, Mazda 3 pulls out in front of me, down shift to 4th bye bye. Took some of these photos at the poppy reserve in Southern California. 50 mile round trip without a hitch other than the trans was a little noisy for the first 10 miles or so then quieted down. Gonna get that looked at. Not a perfect car, wish list would be fix all the gauges. Only the temp and oil work at this time. GET BETTER BRAKES!!! They stop, but with that added power they need to stop better. Make the suspension better. Beat a Honda 2000 thru the canyon once but only because of the exit power this car has, the cornering so-so. Shelby Cobras had the same problem, I had one. There are a couple of nicks in the paint here and there but I think it gives the car character. "OL 22". I bought this car on e-bay 3 years ago. Owner fibbed, the only thing holding it together where zip ties. We took off about 50 of em. They where everywhere. Everything is now connected the way it should be. When I bought the car it had a Georgia license plate and still does. Got a Certified bill of sale as Georgia does not do title and a registration certificate. All numbers match on Bill of Sale, Registration and VIN/Body. I haven't titled it yet in Arizona as most of my time with this car has been repair. Wasn't happy at first, got to admit but now it is hard to put up for sale. Own too many cars ( it's a sickness ) and some have to go so reluctantly selling this car. Any questions e-mail me and I will do my best to answer ( I won't fib ) Hate getting burned. Any bidder with less then 10 needs to contact me before bidding or I will block you, like I said, Hate getting burned
