For sale is my 1980 MG MGB. You will NOT find a cleaner and more updated MG around. This car is sound as a fiddle. This little car runs and drives great! It has the special edition motor with overdrive manual transmission that works perfectly. Rebuilt motor has only about a thousand miles on it. It has a new paint job. Tires are almost new. Has a new top with zip out windows. New carpet kit with MG rubber mats. New brake booster. New steering wheel. Rebuilt carburetor. New water pump. New spark plugs and new ignition wires. 2 new seat belts. New aluminum radiator. All weather cover. and more! Also have the top cover if you plan on leaving the top off and the full interior cover that covers from the dash board back. Floor pans, frame, and body are all solid. Has one small dent on rear trunk lid. Radio delete from Factory. Owner manual included. Car is in great shape! Will consider trading for an equal old VW Beetle. $500 deposit upon purchase. Pickup within 7 days unless discussed otherwise

Today, as always, this car is all about affordable fun in the sun and the look makes this one stand out in a crowd. The biggest modification, and the one that you'll appreciate most, is the removal of those clunky federally-mandated rubber bumpers, which marred the otherwise sleek MGB in the mid-70s. Shaving them off completely gives this MGB a sleek, purposeful look that's entirely in line with its sporting intentions. Adding a chrome grille up front makes it look like the original designers intended and with a pair of big rally lights up front and a roll pan in back, the car looks quite finished, as if the factory built it that way. The silver paint was done a while ago and isn't show quality, but for a car that's destined to be driven with gusto on twisting country roads, nobody will notice or care. The important stuff like the rockers and doors are in good condition and the overall unusual look will win this B a lot of fans along the way. Traditional styling elements like the chrome-ringed side marker lights, big taillights, and exposed rear gas filler remain in place, keeping this car firmly tied to its British heritage. When you think "British sports car," this 2-seat interior is what should pop into your mind. Twin buckets flanking a console, rugged seat covers that are cleverly textured to keep them cool, and big, simple gauges were all hallmarks of MG in the 1970s. The wood-rimmed steering wheel adds some very welcome warmth to the interior yet maintains a traditional sports car look with its aluminum spokes, and the fatter rim makes it easy to grab with your string-back driving gloves (you do own a pair of those, right?). The gauges are in good order, the seat covers are excellent, and it appears to have recent carpets. The car's most desirable feature, a factory overdrive, is actuated by a big red switch on the dash, rally style, and it not only transforms the MGB into a decent long-distance cruiser, but it makes you feel like you're at the wheel of a far more expensive machine. There's a decent-fitting black convertible top that fits behind the seats, and the trunk is nicely carpeted and includes a full-sized spare. The 1798cc inline-four won't win any drag races, but the joy of an MG is not all-out speed but rather how the machine goes about its business. The gutsy engine loves to rev and makes a great baritone howl from the exhaust pipe out back, so you'll relish each gear shift. You can drive this car at 9/10ths and really have a ball without endangering the countryside, and it works exceptionally well. The nicely detailed engine has a few bright red accents, an aftermarket exhaust header, and enough power to feel lively at any speed. The 4-speed manual shifts easily and you'll love running it through the gears, and with the aforementioned overdrive, it's pretty relaxed on the highway, too. The suspension is a good combination of supple and competent and with the lightweight bodywork, the brakes are impressive. Factory wheels look right and carry 175/70/14 Falken radials all around. You've been admiring MGBs for years, why not take the plunge and get a good one? This car was originally purchased new in California in 1977. It was brought to Atlanta by second owner in 1998. I am the third owner and began to rebuild and upgrade the car in 2000. It currently has over $6000 of new parts installed. The original engine was discarded and replaced with a race ready engine built by Reed Speed&Sport of Cumming, GA. The transmission was replaced with a locally rebuilt unit. In short, this car will go! Details: Most of the upgrade/replace work was completed in 2005. Since that time the car has been stored except to drive short distances several times per year to preserve the running gear. The oil has been changed once per year regardless of the need. There is certainly no more that about 500 miles on the car. The suspension has been lowered to former chrome bumper standards using custom kingpins and all new shocks and bushings so as to improve both looks and handling. Rear shocks are rebuilt originals. The car uses Mini wheels with all new brakes. The fuel pump is brand new. The engine came bored .020 over to aid in seating the new pistons which were profiled so as to optimize the compression ratio for street running with premium gas. The head is an earlier big valve type with new springs, bronze guides, valves and lifters. The cam is by Crane intended to yield higher torque at lower RPM's. Induction is by newly rebuilt duel SU HS-4 Carbs. Exhaust is all new and manifolds have been flame-spray coated with ceramic. A new distributor with hot coil is included. If buyer wants, standard distributor can be swapped out for electronic ignition. Brake servo is new as well as rebuilt master cylinder. The top and tonneau are in good condition except for a few places that could use restitching. Carpets are new. All work and parts documentation are provided. This MG would make a fast and fun rally car, vintage racer, or great handling mountain touring car. I will gladly answer any questions and invite all reasonable offers.

I am selling my 1974 MGB. 1974 was the last year for the steel bumper MGB. This car is very much original right down to the leyland radio and rostyle wheels with original aluminum bands which are very rare and impossible to find. The original colors have been changed to red and black. The car is equipped with AC but the AC does not work. I have not seen many of these with the AC option. This car has been in Franklin Co. GA. since it was purchased new in 74 so of course there is no rust. I bought it a few years ago from the second owner who had it for 30 years. The car is garage kept, in great condition, runs and drives perfectly. All lights work perfectly. Please note the details below. The car was recently painted in beautiful red and has the following: new tires 185/70-14 new black convertible top new black carpet new black custom leather on the seats new polished and wood steering wheel (the original steering wheel will also go with the car along with the original key) new K&N dual air filters, new spark plugs, new ignition wires, new starter, new alternator, new brake lines

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this attractive and nicely restored 1969 MG MGB roadster. Clad in Primrose Yellow, paint quality is very good and all panels are straight and solid. Chrome is exceptionally nice all around with the exception of minor flaking on one of the front bumper guards; glass, rubbers, lenses, etc. are in good shape. Convertible top, full tonneau cover and rare removable hard top are all in great condition. Chrome wire knockoff wheels have been beautifully refinished; tires are newer. Original floor pans in excellent rust-free condition. The interior shows well with correct seats in good condition; door panels, carpet, steering wheel, shift knob, etc. are all quite nice. Dash is good with only one small crack on the passenger side; all gauges are working. This example saw a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration around 6,000 miles ago; SU carbs are brand new, and the car has also been fitted with new headers and a gorgeous stainless exhaust that looks and sounds great. Electronic ignition. It runs and drives quite well. For more information on this 1969 MGB available at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250.

These cars have been steadily inching up the value chart, and if there's one to own for posterity, it's this early chrome-bumper 1968 MGB Mark II roadster with a great look that's all about fun. First of all, it's British Racing Green. Honestly, there's just no better color for a British roadster, and fans of tradition will be pleased by the subdued hue that's more accurate than most. The classic MGB lines are evident, but without the big rubber bumpers that most of us are familiar with, it takes on a different look that gives it a much more upscale image than its price tag would suggest. This one was apparently never rusty, and the bodywork is impressively straight, suggesting a lot of work went into the restoration seven years ago; they simply weren't this nice coming out of the factory. The doors fit well, the hood lines up nicely, and the bright stainless trim along the flanks doesn't allow for any sloppy panel alignment. It's also worth noting that much of the chrome is original, which should tell you a bit about how well maintained this little roadster really is. Familiar MGB taillights are in excellent shape, and all the correct badges and emblems have been reinstalled. If you're got British Racing Green outside, there's nothing more British than seats trimmed with contrasting piping. Those black seat covers with gray piping, the door panels, and replacement carpets all give the MGB a look that's a lot more upscale than the later models, again reinforcing the Mark II's upscale image and bargain price. Lovely Smiths gauges give it an old world flavor and all of them work properly, and the switchgear is delightfully haphazard and vague in the best British cottage industry tradition. There's a vintage radio in the center of the stack, although it's not working and is due for replacement, and the stubby shifter for the 4-speed manual transmission falls to hand easily. The banjo-style steering wheel practically begs for a set of string-backed driving gloves and the pedals are properly placed for heel-and-toe downshifts on the fly. Overhead there's a black vinyl top that you can throw back at a stop light for instant fun in the sun. And contrary to popular belief, there's a usable trunk with a full-sized spare complete with a jack assembly. The engine is a correct 1800 cc inline-four was fully rebuilt five years ago and now wears a pair of side-draft SU carburetors. It has a rorty exhaust bark and an energetic attitude that serves the MG quite well. Combined with the 4-speed manual transmission, it's a real pleasure out on the road and cruises at modern highway speeds (and beyond!) effortlessly. The engine is wearing proper MG Red paint and a lot of shiny detail bits that have been accurately painted and plated the way the factory would have done it. A big oil cooler up front is an upgrade that helps reliability, and the exhaust system has just the right tone for sporting driving. Painted wires are the right look although they're showing their age, and an investment in fresh rolling stock would pay big dividends with this tidy little roadster. This is another one of those cars that is surging in value, and with just a little TLC, this could be one of the very best. Information is provided to the best of our knowledge and that of the owners of the vehicles, and we make no warranty or representation regarding the accuracy, truth, or reliability of such information. We cannot be responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies contained in information provided by third parties. Streetside Classics is not an expert in the construction, engineering, finishes, materials, and componentry of every single vehicle we sell. It is the responsibility of the buyer to either inspect the vehicle personally or via a 3rd party, to ensure satisfaction to the condition and value, prior to purchase. Streetside Classics strives to perform extensive visual inspections on all vehicles we represent but we do not disassemble vehicles or components for inspection purposes and therefore it is always possible that there is hidden damage that is not readily apparent. All vehicles are sold AS-IS with no warranties expressed or implied. WE WELCOME INTERNATIONAL BUYERS As an international buyer, it is as easy to purchase a vehicle from us as it is for any domestic buyer. Please call or email any one of our showrooms at: Charlotte Showroom Phone: 001-704-598-2130 Email [email protected] Atlanta Showroom Phone: 001-678-279-1609 Email [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom Phone: 001-817-764-8000 Email [email protected] Rest assured, you are dealing with one of the largest classic car dealerships in the United States with one of the largest (500+) vehicles on display. If you decide to purchase from us, we require that you give us your complete name, address and phone numbers (home, office, mobile and fax) and a port of entry that handles containers. We do not ship vehicles open (RORO: Roll On Roll Off) due to risk of damage to vehicle and theft of parts. All international purchases must be paid by bank wire transfer in US Dollar funds only. Once we have received the funds, we will prepare the car for international shipment through one of our approved land and ocean carriers. We file all the necessary documents for export, deliver the car to a US port, secure it in containers and board an ocean carrier. We can land a vehicle to any port worldwide handling container traffic. We export cars regularly and are familiar with export requirements. You, or your agent, are responsible for Custom clearing the vehicle and registration in your own country.
