I installed an oil cooler and new clutch hydraulics and freed up the brakes. Passenger's floor pan could use replacing if you want a passenger. Tires are not useable. It does roll around for loading. Very nice MGB V8 built with the best of everything. Over $22K invested. Build has 500 miles on it. 360 horsepower ATK roller 5.0 Ford motor with edelbrock aluminum heads, roller rockers etc and fresh T5 5 speed. Classic Conversions V8 kit, Fast Cars ceramic coated Headers and radiator. Huffaker fender flares by Lilves Racing and fiberglass hood with GT6 stinger that provides cool air to the engine. Special Tuning air dam and Sebring rear valence by Preform Resources. MSD 6 AL, 160 amp alternator, Miata leather seats, GPS Speedo the list goes on and on. Far to much to list here but I have a spreadsheet that documents the entire build. Just message me and Ill send it over. This car is reliable, very fast and runs cool in 100 plus degree Texas heat. Body is rust free. Bodywork is probably an 8 or 9 out of 10. It still needs some sanding around the fender flare transitions to be perfect. Car is in a custom blue pearl liquid wrap with Sterling Silver stripes. It is not perfect but looks good.

For sale is 1973 MGB GT that I'm selling for a friend. Her husband recently passed away and she wants to sell this car. The car is complete, as best as I can tell, but has been sitting in a field for 20+ years. Not being able to get under the car, there doesn't appear to be any rust through in the exterior metal. The floor pans appear to be intact with no obvious rust through spots (front and rear). Couldn't see the pan under the hatch back so that is still an open question. I don't know if the engine turns over as I couldn't get the bonnet (Hood) open to check. This would be a good project or as a parts car. This will be a cash only sale with the purchaser responsible for removal of the car from the field, pack-up, and transport.

Two seats, a snarky 4-cylinder engine and a slick-shifting manual gear box all make it one of the biggest bangs for the buck anywhere. 1979 was the end of the line for the MGB in the US, but over the decades our appreciation for them has only grown. Cars like this clean burgundy roadster are a fantastic way to enjoy a traditional British sports car for little more than pocket change. You need one that's lived a good life like this example, which has probably never seen temperatures below about 50 degrees. What that means is ultra-straight sheetmetal, good gaps, and a shiny finish on the paint that will win admirers of all ages. For a British car, this MG is also quite well assembled, and you'll note that the doors fit well, the hood snugs down tightly, and there are no signs of botched body repairs in any of the panels. You'll also note that this one has been retrofitted with the early-style chrome bumpers, which makes a huge difference in the car's look, making it the best of old and new. The paint shines up nicely, so you'll enjoy keeping it waxed, and the diminutive size means that it won't eat an entire weekend. Everyone loves the look and this one looks like it should cost a lot more than it does. The top is not currently installed as the owner wanted more storage space behind the seats, it could easily be re-installed as all the hardware is there and included with the car. Despite that small size, the cockpit is comfortable for most adults, and delivers the true British sports car experience. The bucket seats are wrapped in textured black vinyl that helps keep you cool on warm days and wears like iron. Door panels are simple, the floors are covered in basic carpet with rubber floor mats and the vinyl-clad dash is probably a lot easier to maintain than the old wood ones. Speaking of dashboards, the MGB also includes a full set of instruments with bold, simple faces and a traditional British look. A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel and matching shifter knob are appropriate touches, and there's a newer Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD stereo mounted down low in the center stack. There's even a reasonably-sized trunk with a full-sized spare and jack assembly, all covered in neat black carpets. MGs were never about brute horsepower, and instead deliver a unique driving experience by virtue of a gutsy four-cylinder engine with a lot of heart. With just 1798 cc to work with, performance is still quite good given the car's light weight, and that's entirely the point. Dual carbs and an electronic ignition system give it a fantastic powerband and easy road manners without losing any of the baritone soundtrack. Combined with the light-shifting 4-speed manual gearbox, it's a delight to run it up and down through the gears, and you can explore the limits of the car's capabilities without endangering everyone else. There's a certain visceral thrill in running this MGB hard, and it rewards with great road manners and a sporting exhaust note from the fresh exhaust system. Unique alloy wheels look great and wear relatively large 185/60/14 blackwall radials. Fun and instantly recognizable, being an MGB owner puts you into some very distinguished company, all at a very affordable price. If you are familiar with the story of the MGB GT V8, then you will be impressed with this vehicle. This 1974 MGB GTV8 is built as a tribute to both the effort that Ken Costello exerted in building the first V8 powered MGBs and one of the 7 factory left hand drive V8s imported to the states. Please note the following about this vehicle: · Straight, clean 1974.5 MGB GT built in October 1974 VIN GHD5UE362059G, Commission Number: G23D080735, Body Number: GU23D 00231GP;· Correct 215CI, 3.5L Aluminum V8. The block number is HI305245 which is the 1-year only (62’) 190HP@4,800 rpm 11:1 compression engine. This is the same engine Costello attempted to persuade British Leyland to use in the GT V8. Please note that is fed by an Edelbrock or Holley (?) 600cfm 4 barrel carburetor instead of the factory SU set up;· Factory brass top MGB GTV8 radiator and overflow canister;· Electric fan;· Factory 4spd overdrive transmission with 3rd gear lock out;· 5 correct Dunlop composite alloy factory MGB GT V8 wheels;· New tires (less than 1,000 miles);· Damask Red paint that looks impressive from 3 feet;· As a whole, this is a clean and well appointed interior including black vinyl seats with new foam and coverings (front and rear) mounted over grey carpet with grey headliner. · White Smith gauges;· New interior panels and switches;· Proper MGB GT V8 badging;· Leather wrapped small steering wheel for increased responsiveness;· 4 wheel tube shocks and proper ride height;· All glass and seals are in above average shape and/or have been replaced;· Later model vacuum assist brakes;· New battery;· Former museum vehicle; We would like to point out the following observations: · Passenger front fender has slight cracking in the paint. Does not appear to be “Bondo” cracking. Two small to get a photograph of and cannot be seen from 3 feet. It is there however;· Speedometer works but does not read correctly. I recommend having recalibrated;· Brakes work and are serviceable. I like the feel of non-vacuum, servo style brakes and am not used to the “consistent soft feel” of these. Of 23 MGs I have owned, I have only had one other with these brakes. It was the same way. I am told they are correct. They work, the car stops quickly and in a straight line. I point it out because it is something I would want to address out of preference and we want to be as transparent as possible in representing our vehicles. Overall this is one of the best built V8 MGBs we have come across. It is not a restro-mod. Aside from the carb and intake you have to know what to look for to know it is not a factory car. Car is in exceptional mechanical condition. I just completed a long weekend at the Texas MG gathering in Tyler (car placed 2nd in show) along with several shorter trips. Car runs and drives beautifully. One of the most modern feels of any MG I have owned. I would have no hesitation driving this vehicle anywhere. Feel welcome to contact me. There is no reserve. Please don't ask "what will we take?" We will take the asking price. We are open to other offers and we are going to sell the vehicle to someone who appreciates it. If you would like to buy the vehicle, make an offer and we can dialogue about the price and/or any possible trades you may have. You never know, we might accept your first offer! Please know you will not offend us, however, this is arguably one of the nicest, cleanest, most well appointed factory style V8 MGs to be offered in the recent past. MKII Motorsports is a small, family owned entity dealing in British and other unique sports cars. You can find us on the web at mkiimotorsports.com We are gearheads that enjoy Saturday night drive-ins and Sunday morning back roads. Please note these terms which are part of this sale: · You are welcome to have the vehicle inspected at out location by appointment. Bid with confidence; · Unlike many, we do not operate with “open titles”. We legally own every vehicle we sell. We are a licensed and bonded dealer in the State of Texas. We do not however “add on” extra fees; · Sale for vehicles leaving Texas are tax exempt and require an affidavit of fact. 6.25% sales tax will be added to vehicles staying in Texas. Sorry, that’s the law and part of operating above board; · All vehicles are As-Is, Where Is. We do not offer any warranties, third party or otherwise. · Shipping is not included, however we are more than happy to assist your shipper. We do sell overseas/internationally. Just let us know how we can help. · Funds must clear before the vehicle can leave. Period. This includes cashier’s checks. Cash or wire transfer through Wells Fargo are preferred. We will let you know when the funds clear and you will have 7 additional days to retrieve the vehicle. Afterwards, we reserve the right to charge $25.00/day for storage. Our insurance does not cover your vehicle so when you buy it, get insurance in place please; · If we have a dispute of any kind, we will try to work it out. If not, this sale will be subject to the laws of Denton County, State of Texas and any and all claims are limited to the amount no greater than the final sales price of the vehicle; · This vehicle may be for sale locally and/or through other entities. We reserve the right to end it at anytime; · Finally, the deposit is non-refundable. This is why we do not ask for a % of the sale, rather a nominal fee. If you change your mind, we incur expenses and more time. We think that is fair. Enjoy and happy motoring- Bryan & Karen Hutchinson, MKII Motorsports

With an immaculate frame-off restoration in spectacular colors, this 1963 MGB roadster is drop-dead gorgeous. But wait, it's also an impressive runner with a long list of smart upgrades to make more than just another 4-pot British roadster. It used to be you had to go Italian to get a 2-seater that would run like this. There's a lot of hand labor invested in the bodywork, and it shows here. There's not a ripple or a wave anywhere and given the cost of the restoration, it shouldn't be a surprise that it turned out so well. White is this car's original color, but the paint on it today is a custom PPG mix that adds a bit of pearl just for effect and the clear is the same stuff used on high-end guitars, so it has an impossible shine that's easy to maintain. The chrome bumper cars are popular with MG enthusiasts due to their classic roadster looks, and against the pearl white paint, the chrome sparkles and glitters like something very, very expensive. All the details are there, from the MG badges on the nose and tail to the chrome sport mirrors and polished gas cap, and with a custom chin spoiler, it has an aggressive look that suits the early 'B just fine. The black vinyl interior has a host of upgrades that enhance the driving experience but don't change the MGB's essential personality. Only the Brits seem to have mastered the low-cost, high-style look, because most folks would sit behind the wheel and figure that this is a very expensive car. There's a brand new wood-rimmed steering wheel and walnut shifter knob, along with fresh carpets and sun visors to keep everything looking fresh. Rebuilt Smiths gauges are a British motor industry tradition, and even in 1963, they had a classic look that was one part simplicity and one part elegance. They've also cleverly integrated a whole host of auxiliary gauges into the dash, so you can keep a closer eye on the warmed-over engine up front. The original radio is gone, replaced by a Kenwood AM/FM/CD head unit that sounds a lot better and actually looks quite good settled in there below the clock and fuel gauge. A pair of subtle roll bars behind the seats are a good way to make your 'B look racy, and they fits neatly under the new black convertible top with matching black boot. There's even a decent amount of trunk capacity, despite a full-sized spare living under that MG tire cover. Rebuilt 695 miles ago and ready to rock, the diminutive 1800cc inline four performs heroically thanks to a bunch of smart upgrades. The block is topped by an aluminum cylinder head, fresh carburetion under an MG-logo air cleaner, and a flashy finned valve cover up top. Lots of shiny chrome and aluminum parts, plus some braided stainless hoses, make the engine bay look capable and efficient, not to mention ultra-clean. A custom exhaust system is a true dual setup with custom side-exit pipes that give the brawny four one heck of a voice. The 4-speed manual transmission was completely rebuilt, the rear end was re-sealed, and the entire front suspension was rebuilt, so this one is ready to party. Cool Minilite-style wheels are practically required on a car like this and carry fat 185/70/14 blackwall radials. We can't possibly cover all the work that's been done to this beautiful MGB, but with all the receipts and restoration photos included, it'll be easy to see just how nice it really is. Up for sale a 1979 MGB Roadster Convertible. Health concerns causes sale of my project, My loss your gain. I have been working on this car for about 4 years and recent health issues has prevented my finishing car. I have already done a lot of work on car but it has set idle for the past 8 months in the process the lower quarter panel got damaged and the new convertible top was damaged so instead of it getting damaged more I have decided to sell car. I have already replaced all the suspension bushings, ball joints, tie rods, rear suspension and replaced rear hydraulic shocks with upgraded gas shocks. replaced engine all motor and trans mounts. It has the 1800 engine with the 4 speed with electric overdrive. All electric does work except the windshield washer and I don't have the dash light switch. Has new fuel tank and sending unit. I have the original rims that have been powder coated silver. The car just needs to be finished, It needs carpet, tires, exhaust, door panels and kick panels. I have about 3 boxes of spare parts and a new console that came from a British Leland dealer in the UK. I also replaced the original intake and twin carbs for an intake with a weber 2 barrel carb and header. I have around $5400.00 in new parts and paint on car. It has no rust and no rust repair that I could find or any wreck damage. I do have all receipts and a good Texas title. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. A $1000.00 Deposit due upon end of auction balance due upon pick-up. I forgot to mention that the car is painted a jaguar metallic blue. I have a pint of touch up paint that goes with car.

Lets talk about MGB's. I have been working on Brit cars for 50 years, and the MGA and MGB are the best of the bunch. They are built like tanks...thick metal bodies and superior forgings and castings. They are comfortable, easy to maintain, and going up in value! They are not fast but run very strong, especially with the upgrades this this car has received. The 1st thing you do to a MG is convert to tube shocks in the back, the handling stability goes way up! The next is convert to a down draft Weber carb and headers to make the top of the engine lighter and boost performance and reliability, especially in starting the car, and being able to fine tune the fuel mixture. Then you replace the wire wheels or steel wheels with mag wheels to get rid of highway vibrations. All stamped steel wheels are out of round! The Mini Cooper wheels on this MGB make it smooth past 100 mph! next you really want an overdrive to save on fuel and engine wear, and your car runs cooler also. Buying from a good owner is imperative too. I have owned this MGB for 5 years and it was my daily driver many of those years! I replace it with a Mini Cooper Clubman for taking long trips. Work I have done in the last 5000 miles includes: oil cooler for surviving in Texas summers extra radiator 12v cooling fan w reliable thermal switch setup complete clutch rear brakes u-joints and pinion seal, change tranny and diff oil and grease front suspension v8 mgb control arm bushings for longevity and comfort, and rack boots rear tube shock conversion and new Lucas Fork oil in the front shocks carpet inside and the trunk. There is no rust in either place! convertible top door panels wood dash kit sunvisor clips and new wiper blades Sherwin Williams paint and new windshield base seals and door window wipe seals new side stainless trim magnetic fresh air vent cover to keep summer heat out Mini Cooper JCW wheels smaller MGB LE steering wheel for better grip and faster steering new taillight lenses and for reverse lights too collapsing antennae so no holes are poked in the car cover high efficiency AC condensor and charge system piston rings and rod bearings and headgasket The cylinder head was just retorqued and the oil changed in the motor and oil cooler and valves reset Factory Luggage rack This MGB ROCKS, looks and drives great, and is a spiff car ready for your enjoyment. It has always been in Dallas except for road trips to Austin and Athens. I am the 3rd owner. The previous owner was a British British car mechanic Tony Richards who passed away a few years ago. Then I purchased it from the widow and took it to the next level. Always buy a car from a good adult owner, and hopefully a car never owned by a teenager or young man who tend to butcher cars or overdrive and under service the cars. This car is an appreciating investment, and is ready to supply years of enjoyment.\ This is the only MGB I am aware of that has both AC and Overdrive. Don't miss this rare opportunity for a great hobby!!! This is a last year production car....

1974 MGB GT with only 65k original miles This classic is fully sorted and ready to roll - runs and drives excellent. Last year for the coveted and rare GT body style in the US - hard to find in this condition.Full details below. More photos available. Questions and inspections welcomed. Thanks for looking! Operational:This classic really is a treat to drive/own. It starts easy, and settles into a low loping idle. Clutch, shifting, braking and steering are all crisp - no slop or play. Mechanicals:This MG is equipped with its original 1.8 liter I-4 engine, with dual SU carbs. It is backed by a synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission. Disc brakes on all four corners. No noted engine leaks, rattles, smoking...runs smooth and pulls strong. Good oil pressure, and runs cool. Clutch engages cleanly, and at the correct pedal height - easy to drive - very smooth. Shifter feels great - very positive feedback...no slop. Recent tires and exhaust. Accessories:No issues to detract from the experience - all the gauges, blinkers, lights, wipers, horn work as they should. The original AM/FM radio is definitely 'lo-fi', but does work well and adds to the time machine-y experience. The windows go up an down easy, the locks all work smoothly, the seat belts work properly, the seat releases are smooth...even the console vanity light works. This one is ready to hit the road. Exterior:This survivor car has obviously been well-loved all its 40+ years. The body is very straight, and does not exhibit any indication of collision. The body gaps are all pretty good, and doors/hood/hatch all open and close smoothly. The car appears to have had a single respray in it's original shade of Bracken. The paint retains a nice shine and depth, but does have issues under close inspection. There are several notable chips and scratches, and the paint has bubbled in a few spots. I believe the glass is all original - it has a nice subtle tint to it, and has no cracks or delamination anywhere. The wheels and trim are also believed to be all original...they present well, with some expected patina. Interior:The inside of this MG is tidy and inviting. The dash, door panels, headliner and flooring are all original and in good shape, with some minor signs of wear. The seats have been recovered, and feel and look good. The material is very similar to the original, though these are missing the relief stitching and other details. All the original knobs, levers, hinges etc are in place and working like they should. There is one notable ding in the dash in front of the passenger, and there is a small section of the steering wheel wrap that is patched with tape. Extras:This car comes complete with its original spare and jack/tool kit, a matching set of mint original '74 Texas license plates, a car cover, and some under-hood insulation panels (need to be installed).

The purest design that is most closely linked to its British sports car roots, this very nicely restored convertible has a simple, clean look and energetic performance to back it up. Although the shape didn't change much over the MGB's life, this early car looks far more upscale than many of its siblings. Surely some of it has to do with the chrome bumpers and grille, which has always been the preferred look, and some if it might have to do with the beautiful white paint. Instead of being plain and subtle, the white paint sparkles and draws your eye down the 'B's smooth flanks, reminding you that yes, the British really did perfect the art of the inexpensive sports car. We're having a hard time finding any flaws on this neat little convertible, which offers good gaps, doors that close easily, and no evidence of major body surgery. The work was carried out by a noted MG specialist, so the details are exactly right, too, including the stainless trim along its sides, the wonderfully British rear-view mirror, and the red taillights, which have a familiar shape but a look that's unique to the early cars. The beautiful black leather interior has that wonderful lived-in look that makes natural materials so much more appealing than vinyl. White piping adds an upscale look to the simple surroundings, and it's all in excellent condition with new materials throughout. A handsome steering wheel with delicate wire spokes makes this sports car easy to wheel around and the 4-speed manual gearbox (with overdrive!) is a joy to row through the gates. Crisp, clear Smiths gauges are attractive without being too busy and we love the fabric-covered speaker in the middle of the dash, which is powered by the original AM radio up above it. Sadly it's not functional, but it would be a real shame to replace it and with the top down, you won't miss it anyway. The top is easy to operate and looks great even when it's up, and there's a nicely appointed trunk with a full-sized spare for emergencies. The sturdy 1.8 liter inline-four would power MGs for decades, and it's at its very best here. The engine was rebuilt to stock specification and wears a pair of freshly rebuilt carburetors and a bright red valve cover, as original. A few upgrades make it suitable for use today, including an electric fan on the front of the radiator so it never loses its cool and all the wiring is new, so you can hold your Lucas jokes. The 4-speed manual gearbox is a delight to use and offers a usable overdrive for today's highway cruising and the supple suspension is both athletic and smooth-riding, a combination that's hard to replicate in today's heavy cars. A sweet-sounding Monza exhaust system gives the engine a raucous baritone wail and while the underside hasn't been fully restored, its' in good order with no trouble in the usual spots. And no British sports car is complete without a set of chrome wire wheels, with these wearing 175R14 blackwalls for a no-nonsense look. Complete with 25 years' worth of maintenance records and restoration receipts, this is a high-quality MGB for the enthusiast who is shopping based on things other than price alone. Heck, even Mazda copied the MGB when developing the Miata, and this 1977 MGB roadster is an awesome opportunity to own the original. With a very nice restoration a few years ago, it represents fun the traditional British way. The handsome burgundy paint adds a handsome, grown-up look to the slippery MGB shape, and with the original rubber bumpers replaced with proper chrome pieces, it gives this particular B a fantastic look. This car has received a comprehensive restoration a few years ago and still looks great, with a nice shine and the look of a car that's always been well-maintained. Gaps are awfully good all around, surprising for an MGB which was notorious for haphazard construction, and the paint is better than any factory MG you've ever seen. It's remarkable what a difference the older style grille and bumpers make, and it gives this B the look of a much more expensive car. A few other chrome pieces work well with the shiny bumpers, including the rub strips along the flanks, a bright windshield surround, and a proper MG octagon logo on the deck lid. You'll also note the familiar MGB taillights are in excellent condition and the conversion was done right, including the correct small marker lights up front. Inside, the story continues with fresh leather seat covers that were endemic to British sports cars of the era. Most of its siblings got vinyl upholstery, and again, this one looks and feels like it should cost thousands more than it does. New carpets have been fitted, along with new door panels with speakers for the upgraded AM/FM/CD radio. All the instruments are functional and somehow capture the charm of the Old World better than any modern gauges could and the leather-wrapped wheel feels great in your hands. Things like the dash pad, console, and shifter boot are replacement pieces that are in fantastic condition and there's a neat cup holder setup in the center console that modernizes the car enough to make it practical. Overhead there's a tan convertible top that you can stow from the driver's seat with just one hand for open-air driving on-demand, and it fits under a black boot for a very clean look. The trunk is beautifully finished as well, with a full set of carpets and a spare tire cover. MG's peppy and torquey 1.8 liter inline-four delivers enjoyable performance thanks to the MGB's light weight, and the 4-speed+overdrive transmission is one of the more direct units this side of the aforementioned Miata. You'll be shocked by the restoration, as there are very few MGB engine bays that have enjoyed the full disassembly and detailing that this one received. The engine features proper hardware and finishes wherever possible, and has been fitted with an aluminum head and downdraft carburetor to improve performance. Just look at how clean the firewall and inner fenders are; have you ever seen an MGB that crisp? Underneath, it's just as good with front disc brakes that do a commendable job and a snarky exhaust system that was one of the things Mazda tried to duplicate. Four recent Dunlop blackwall radials have been fitted to a set of beautiful chrome wire wheels, filling out the wheel wells perfectly. There just can't be many MGBs nicer than this. A lot of British 2-seat fun with all the work already done.
