The soft top is a very nice correct vinyl top with 2 piece top bows. Has tonneau bows and 1/2 tonneau cover too. All electrical and mechanical systems work as they should. All gauges work, and car has been thoroughly checked. Paint is very nice but has a few small bubbles near the windshield mounts. Pictured is my 1978 MGB Convertible. I bought this car from a gentleman who had purchased it in 2005, and rebuilt the entire car from the wheels up. Original color was white. It was painted by him with Miata Red. I have all of his receipts for the car rebuild, as well as many of the original parts and manuals that he used for the rebuild. The car has been driven up to the beginning of August. It was due for inspection, and as it was over at the garage for the inspection. They moved it one day, and the clutch went. So ultimately it needs a new clutch before it can be driven, and / or inspected. We do not have the time for the car anymore. It needs a home with someone that has the time to spend on keeping it up to its former glory. I no longer have a garage for the car, which will force it to be stored outside. I don't think that is fair to the car.I feel it is in very good condition, for its age. It has a few areas of rust coming through above the wheel and at the seams, but all in all it has been totally redone, and remains clean.This vehicle is for pickup only, and will require a trailer to flatbed. With the performance modifications, the car drives likes it's on rails. This car was treated to a full engine rebuild when it was freshened a few years ago. The soft top is a very nice custom made stay fast canvas top with clear rear window that looks better than many of the vinyl tops more commonly found. Comes with a tonneau cover too. The paint is a good quality Driver and will hold up at local shows. Paint has a few minor bubbles in the usual places, top fender cowl and lower driver rocker. Again these are very minor and really not noticeable. The interior is very nice, with newer black interior, white piping, black carpets and black door cards. All look great. The gauges all work with an additional tachometer in the center console. The speedometer reads a little high, ~65-70 at 55MPH. All the lights, horn, wipers, fan, and dash lights work as they should. Glass is good, windows roll up and down as they should. Overall I would rate the car a 2-. California Car Cover, Spare Tire, Lug Wrench, and MG Jack included too! We did not try to start the engine. Carbs are in place but probably need rebuilt. Trans; 4 Speed manual trans Body; The car is solid with very little rust. (See photos of the car when up on our lift). The fenders, hood, deck lid, rear quarters are reasonably straight with only minor dings from storage. The floor is solid and will need minimal body work. The windshield frame is good. The windshield shows wiper marks. Interior; There is no interior trim. No seats, No carpets. The dash is loose in the cowl. 1980 MGB roadster. I have switched the lucas alternator with a Saturn alternator that is more dependable. The car is mostly MG though. The interior is in good shape and the roof was replaced 2 months back. The engine is original and runs very well. The original fuel pump is in need of replacement, I have installed a second backup pump under the bonnet and use it along with the original pump. I have installed a volt meter to keep a eye on the alternator, something MG did not install. All gauges work, the clock works very well, looses a minute every 6 months or so. All lights work except the reverse lights, I never got around to them.

1980 MGB. 67,700 miles. This car runs and drives, but like many MGs, it needs work. The engine, clutch and transmission all run well. The body is basically solid with two small rust holes in the typical lower rocker. It has dents and scratches, but the paint actually shines quite nicely. There is not extensive rot on this car. The car comes with a brand-new-in-the-box top and hardware that's not installed, but ready to go. I still have the rubber bumper and supports if you are interested in going back to the original later style look. The brakes and suspension need work but are fine to drive around the block. It has several electrical faults. There's a lot to this car--it's way better than a parts car, but needs work to be a cars and coffee attention-getter.
