All- I'm listing this car for a friend of mine and the description below is his not mine. The car is available to be seen and driven anytime during the auction. I have no financial interest in the car just selling her for a friend. Up for auction is my 1976 MGB with New top - Newer tires and just had $2000 spent on her. She is a 4 speed with non-overdrive. The wire wheels look great and sets this car apart from most you see out there. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanically: The car runs great. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds very good oil pressure. Last week the following work was completed by a professional MG mechanic and cost a small fortune. New Complete Distributor, New Coil, New Ignition Wires, New Spark Plugs, New Alternator, New fan belt, complete oil change, transmission & rear end fluids serviced, New Brake Master Cylinder, New front brake calipers, New front brake pads, New rear brake cylinders, New Clutch Master Cylinder, New Clutch Slave Cylinder, New Clutch Slave Cylinder Hose and NEW Complete exhaust system was installed. Also, the battery was recently replaced. At this time I know of nothing the car needs other that to be driven and enjoyed. Electrically: This area is in very good condition and the only 2 things I know that are not working is the horn and the cigarette lighter. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand and are in proper working order. Interior: Nice presentable driver quality as shown in the photos. Exterior: This is a driver quality exterior. While it does look nice in the photos but you should plan on painting the car at some point. The car sits nicely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB "Leaning" issues. Soft Top: Is brand new and was installed last month. Covers: The car comes with a top cover, Tonneau cover ( cover the cockpit when the top is down ) and a car cover. I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time

This 1979 MGB is a wonderful foray into a time when the cars were elemental and pure, and the driving experience wasn't measured on a clock, but instead by the size of the grin on your face. The MGB is one of those cars that everyone loves to see because they know it's built for pure pleasure. The compact proportions are ideally suited for carrying two passengers, and there's no extra fat to steal performance. The taut bodywork is now an icon that is pure retro cool. The chrome trunk rack adds a bit of class and is something you'll find useful on your next weekend getaway. But what really makes this roadster standout is the paint. Red was a factory color, but next to those, this MGB will look like a premium upgrade thanks to a respray in a hue borrowed from the Mercedes palette. This is not the kind of cushy interior that comes from a turnpike cruiser, but if you've read this far, you already knew that. Instead, the entire inside envelops the driver like a second skin. The space between the three-spoke wheel and the stick shift (both with factory optional wood accents) is exceptionally close for comfortable and quick performance. This entire interior feels quite original right down to the AM/FM/cassette stereo. The driver gets a full set of gauges with a large speedometer and tachometer as well as dials for other vitals such as oil, fuel, and water. The tan interior is in great condition, and over the coming years it will resist UV fading much better than the black ones. Since you'll be spending most of your time with the top down, the included tonneau cover will certainly come in handy. Power comes from a sprightly 1798cc four-cylinder motor. With a sporty exhaust note and a willingness to rev, the engine lives up to its British roadster pedigree by offering a mighty experience in a small package. The sound of the powerplant, the slickness of the four-speed gearbox, and unmatched tight handling are some of this car's many virtues. There is a surefooted feeling on the road thanks to the iconic alloy wheels with disc brakes behind the front set. This car comes with maintenance records and the owner's manual, so you know it has lived a cared for life. But if you do feel like spending a weekend tinkering with this one, the parts are easy to obtain and install. The MGB is one of those rare affordable icons. It's as easy to own and maintain as a VW Beetle but runs in much cooler circles. Up for auction is a very, very nice 1979 MGB with 4 speed manual transmission ( non-overdrive ). This is a low mileage car with only 64,320 miles and has been well cared for. The car has had a ton of work done to her and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Mechanicals: The car runs like a dream! The engine compartment looks awesome. The car just had a tune up and oil change. About 1500 miles ago the following work was completed: new timing chain, complete new exhaust system, new complete clutch kit, new Webber carburetor and intake manifold, new brake master cylinder, new front brake hoses, new front brake pads, new hood insulation padding, new engine compartment seal, new trunk seal and a bunch of other stuff I just can't think of right now. The handles great and has new high quality Uniroyal " Tiger Paw" tires. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds great oil pressure.. The brakes and clutch peddles are strong and firm. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises from the transmission or the rear end. I would no hesitate to drive this car anywhere at this time. Electrical's: This area is in unbelievable condition. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, all dash indicator / warning lights work, courtesy light works, the blower fan works, horn works and the radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand all of which are in working order at this time. Heck even the original clock works!! Interior: Is in very, very nice condition. Recent improvements included: new seat covers ( correct pattern ), new door panels, new door caps, new kick panels, new carpet kit, new inner door seals and new MG logo floor mats. Exterior: The car sports a like soft new top and new tires. The paint is fairly new and looks very good. All glass is original Triplex and is clear. The car sits nicely on the ground with no sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB "Leaning" issues. Note: there are 2 paint scratches that don't show up in the photos. One is just in front of the drivers side mirror and the other is to the right of the drivers side door handle. Hard Top: Yep the car even comes with a nice hard top. It is in over all good condition but could stand a good clean / buffing. Tops / Covers: The car does come with the high end and highly sought after top cover, Tonneau cover ( covers the full cockpit ) and a car cover. Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car has a spare tire, jack , lug wrench and top / tonneau cover support rails. Underbody: As seen in the photos the car is rock solid and looks awesome. Manuals and Books: The car does come with and owners manual, repair manuals and a restoration guide book Shipping: If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. Up for auction is a my very, very nice 1969 MGB with its original engine ( this is a numbers matching car ). It is a 4 speed with a non-overdrive transmission. I purchased the car to use as my weekend lake car but due to unforeseen boat repairs I must pass this little girl on to the next person. I have spent well over $3000 on the car recently so please take time to read the auction in full as there are very few if any 1969 MGB's out there in this condition. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanicals: The car runs great. The car was recently serviced which included: new points, new plugs, new ignition wires, new distributor cap, new rotor button, oil change, new oil filter, new air filters, coolant fluid changed, all fluids topped off, both carburetors ( front and rear ) rebuilt, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new fuel sending unit, new speedometer cable, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder fluid hose and some other things I just can't think of right now . The car sounds great and it should given I just had the exhaust header replaced and the entire exhaust system from the header to the tail pipe replaced. Also, last week the car had 4 new high quality radial tires installed. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke. The brakes and clutch peddles are strong and firm. The engine is "drum tight " with no signs of any fluid drips anywhere under the car at this time. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises what so ever from the transmission or the rear end. Electrical's: This area is in unbelievable condition with no signs of the dreaded Lucas electrical Gremlin on this car. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, horn works, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, all dash indicator / warning lights work, courtesy light works, blower fan works and the radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand. Interior: Is in very, very nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Note: About 12 to 14 months ago nearly everything on the interior was replaced. Exterior: The car looks great but still driver quality and should not be considered a "show" car. The car sits nicely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB "Leaning" issues. Look at how well the body, hood, trunk and doors fit. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk, wheel arches, dog legs and doors are laser straight. All glass is original Triplex glass in very nice condition. Also, less than a year ago the front bumper, front grill and rear bumper where replaced ( they look fabulous!! ). Underbody: The frame and inner sills / rocker panels looks very good but at some point the floors where replaced ( common on these cars and just about any car that's 42 years old ). While I'm not and expert in my opinion the floor repairs where done to a very good standard. Note: I don't have any photos of the underbody at this time but I'll see about getting some and posting then to the auction Soft Top: The soft top is brand new and was professionally fitted and installed last month. This 1975 MG MGB is an excellent way to enjoy the classic car hobby while also enjoying the sun and twisty roads. These are honest roadsters that deserve attention with classic style, nice trim and the white paint on the MG's compact body is a great, subtle look. The rubber bumpers are a love-it proposition for MG fans, but the important thing is that they're in good shape and the fit is quite good. Panel fitment is nice, the body work is clean and straight, and the doors shut with confidence. It's simple in design and everything remains in nice enough shape that'll you'll love taking it out and showing it off while enjoying it how it was intended, and that's enjoying a nimble driving experience. A brown, vinyl interior adds an elegant touch and looks even better with a contrasting black dash. The bucket seats are covered in a weave that keeps them cool and comfortable on hot summer days, and wear has been minimal. Beautiful Smiths gauges are part of the British charm, all of them functional, as is the more recent AM/FM/CD stereo just ahead of the black shifter. The door panels are clad in more brown vinyl with operational window cranks and speakers for the updated stereo system. With the new convertible top up or top down, there's ample head room for taller drivers, and the 3-spoke steering wheel connects those drivers to the road. The roadster was only available with a reliable and torquey 1800cc inline-four which was good for about 60 horsepower. But with less than 2000 pounds of car to haul around, performance is entertaining. You'll quickly discover the joy of a British sports car isn't tire-melting power, but the exceptional balance of power and cornering. A 4-speed manual shifts easily and you'll be wanting to master the heel-and-toe maneuver so that you can savor the tenor exhaust note provided by the aftermarket muffler. The engine bay is tidy with evidence of careful maintenance. Carburetor and exhaust upgrades may add a bit of performance, too, while power brakes make the driving experience a bit more enjoyable. It's probably safe to assume these cars have found their share of their market, they don't get much more affordable than this. And while it may not be skyrocketing in value anytime soon, you'll certainly be appreciative of the many thrills this car brings. Up for auction is a stunning 1980 MGB ( non-overdrive ) with only 91,752 miles on the odometer. The car has been exceptionally well maintained and is sure to impress when seen in person. Many dollars have been spent on her in the past year so please take your time and read the auction in its entirety. Mechanicals: The car runs and drives great and has absolutely no issues what so ever. I would no hesitate to drive the car any distance. The car was just serviced this week ( tune up and oil change ) so she is good to hit the open road. The car starts right up with no smoke, ticks, rattles or shaking about. The engine is "drum tight " with no signs of any fluid drips anywhere under the car. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises. The rear end is strong and makes no noises. In the past year the car had the following work completed: New carburetor, new coil, new clutch master cylinder, new brake master cylinder, new exhaust manifold and a new high end exhaust system ( front to back ) was installed. The new exhaust manifold and exhaust system allows the new carburetor to perform to its true potential. The engine bay also sports new duel hood gas struts, new hood insulation kit and a plug in battery tender to ensure the battery is also charged when stored for long periods. Electrical's: This area is in great condition with the following items in proper working order : headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, interior courtesy light works, dash gauge lights work, instrument panel warning lights work, seat belt warning buzzer works, ignition key left in alarm works hazard switch works, blower fan works and the radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand and are in proper working order. Note: the original clock is present but does not keep good time. Interior: Is very nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. However, I will add that the car had a new complete carpet kit installed, new sun visors, new sun visor retaining clips and a new high dollar padded roll bar was installed this year. The car also sports a very nice high end stereo system. Exterior: The paint looks unbelievable being that is original ( shines very nice ) and I find no dings or dents any where on the car ( a true sign of how well this car has been taken car of ). All factory original decals are in great condition. The bumpers are in perfect condition ( see photos ). Look at how perfectly the body, hood, trunk and doors fit! The car sits perfectly on the ground with no leaning, sagging or squatting issues. The car sports new classic style 8 spoke alloy wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich radial tires. Soft Top: While not new it does look and fit like new. Underbody: This area looks unbelievably original and in very, very good condition and I find no evidence of rust, rust repairs, accident damage or repairs anywhere on the car. Trunk: The truck is rock solid and has all the goodies that most cars don't. The truck has the original jack, lug nut tool, original jack stowage bag, original top cover support rails and original stowage bag. The car comes with a matching 8 spoke alloy wheel with new tire mounted on it and a spare MG logo wheel center cap. A new truck carpet kit was installed this year and a new trunk gas strut was installed. The car also comes with a top cover and a Tonneau ( cockpit ) cover. Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). Please have funds available at auctions end. In Closing: The above description is my observations and opinions and they very from person to person so ask all questions prior to bidding. The car is available most anytime during the auction to been seen and drive. Also, e-Bay does offer 3rd party car inspections ( at a cost to you ) in case you can't come and view the car in person. I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or the extra photos I have available please ask prior to bidding. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time.
