The Interior and brightwork are without fault, the top is new, the wheels and tires are excellent, and the car is rust free with a nicely detailed engine compartment and undercarriage. Everything appears to have been redone on this car it appears to have been a ground up restoration.  The car runs exceptionally well I have taken it on several long distance tours and it has never left me by the side of the road. It handles well, shifts well, stops well, goes down the road straight as an arrow, and never disappoints. A triple Weber Carb set up, which evidently was used in Europe for Rallying and includes a beefer Cam, dual exhaust, and a Roll bar have been added. This car sounds simply amazing-it is the best sounding TR6 I have ever encountered.   This is one of the better TR6's we have had the opportunity to represent. This is a fine example that will provide years of driving enjoyment. If you are looking for a nice TR6 you can really enjoy driving and showing this is your car! We have many more photographs of this car, please click on any image to be taken to our full-size image list! The Triumph TR6 (1969–76) was a British six-cylinder sports car and the best-seller of the TR range built by Triumph when production ended in July 1976. This record was then surpassed by the TR7. 91,850 TR6s were built. All TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the engine was carburetted, as had been the US-only TR250 model's engine. For other world markets including England, the TR6 was fuel-injected as had been the non-US market TR5. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection system helped the home-market TR6 produce 150 bhp at model introduction. Later the non-US TR6 variant was detuned to 125 hp in order for it to be easier to drive, while the US-variant continued to be carburetted with a mere 104 hp. The TR6 featured a four speed manual transmission. An optional equipment overdrive unit was a desirable feature because it gave drivers close-gearing for aggressive driving, yet "long legs" for open motorways. TR6 also featured independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, fifteen inch wheels and tires, pile carpet on floors and boot, bucket seats, and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was accomplished by disc brakes in the front; drum brakes in the rear. A factory steel hard top was optional. TR6 construction was fundamentally old-fashioned: the body was bolted onto a frame instead of the two being integrated into a unibody structure; the TR6 dashboard was wooden (plywood w/ veneer). Besides the TR250 and TR5, the TR6 was also preceded by a series of four-cylinder Triumph TRs: TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR4, and TR4A. TR6 was succeeded by the four-cylinder TR7 and the eight-cylinder TR8. The Triumph TR6 is supported by active clubs and reliable service parts suppliers. This car is in excellent condition . Repainted ten years ago, the paint still looks fantastic. It does need carpeting but the seats are in very good condition with new door panels, dash and crash pads. The Coker classics have plenty of tread left. The engine runs very well with zero smoke. Pertronix electronic ignition. All new ball joints and motor mounts and a spin-on oil filter. SU HS6 carbs, K&N chrome air filters and new radiator and steel cowl. The car has new windows on both sides and a new Robbins canvas top. All gauges and electrics work as they should. Floor pans are in excellent condition . New battery installed this past May. I have receipts for all of the work that has been done on this car. In addition, I have the original bill of sale and original title for this vehicle Tonneau cover and a car cover are also included.. Buyer responsible for all shipping costs.

This triumph came from an estate sale. On the grounds were motorcycles, airstream trailers, an airplane, 5 sailboats, and triumphs, lots of triumphs. This tr6 sat under a heavy canvas cover and was waiting to see some sunlight and a promise. The promise of a new owner and the open road. That day came when my partner and I showed up to set it free. The car is now at our garage and the engine runs when spoon fed gas. The fuel pump will be replaced shortly and hopefully that keeps it going. The triumph still has some brakes left I believe and rolls quite easily. Rust is in an odd spot on the bonnet and not much more. The floor and trunk are solid. Yes the car is in tough shape, but you're tough enough to get her back right. regards, harris
