This is due to the fact that they are over 25 years old. When bidding on a car please keep this in mind. I bought this 1974 TR6 in Dec 2014. I will have to show you the receipts for what I've done to this car since I bought it. A lot; the engine is totally re-built from top to bottom. Originally these cars did not have cam bearings, this one does. The engine was also "balanced". The tires are brand new and are the Michelin red lines that the cars came over with. I put HS6 carbs in the engine and would never run anything else. There is NO rust on the car. I'll add some pics of the odometer and some with the top up; the plastic is clear as glass, the top about 5yrs old. (I also have some receipts from previous owner) This is a "turn key" TR6.The only thing I haven't done is replace the turn signal indicator; when you make a turn you have to manually hit the arm to neutral position. The exhaust is the original and what a sound, especially at idle. I won't accept anything less than what I'm asking; I've put much more than I'll get in return. When I started to see the writing on the heater control knobs getting faint I didn't try to clean them; I replaced them; when my mechanic saw the slave cylinder had a small leak, I replaced the entire clutch package. I'll gladly talk to any interested buyer on the phone.

We've discovered the following for Triumph and MG convertibles is strong, and the British crowd is even larger and just as enthusiastic as the Italian car devotees. Don't worry Italiani's---there's no shortage of love for pasta around here. But vintage British convertibles are certainly an alternative to Italian classics for some buyers, and have a unique appeal all their own. While a bit less sophisiticated than their Italian counterparts, this is a plus for customers who choose to do their own repairs. There is clearly a hierarchy in British sports car fandom, with Aston Martin and Jaguar E types currently enjoying their position on the top wrung. Classics like the Austin Healy and Triumph TR6 are not far behind as more affordable options. Classic MG's are quite popular too. The TR6 in particular has a huge following. Although many of these lovely cars have fallen victim to rust devils, the few solid chassis that remain have become quite valuable. Certain model years like the 72-74 vintage are highly regarded--reflected by NADA prime values approaching $50K! VIN NUMBER IS CC81709U AUCTION JUST CHANGED TO NO RESERVE--CALL WITH REALISTIC OFFERS! Roadster Salon currently has seven other TR6 convertibles in stock ready for restoration with low miles from 1971-1975. Colors include BRG, Magenta, French Blue, Red, Orange and Yellow.Rare overdrive versions available too! Ask your salesperson for details History and Restoration Strategy This particular example was a dry chassis from Utah that a customer had started restoring several years ago. The car had also spent time on the West Coast. Upon arrival at our shop, we noted work had already begun on the interior. The paint was original and rust free, but a little tired. Rubber gaskets needed to be replaced, and although running well, the car required our golden touch. From a mechanical standpoint, we were impressed. Many of the more expensive basics had been covered. Initially, we were undecided how far to take this particular car. For example, "Avanzato" level Fiat spiders represent our mid-range price approach and start at about $40K. The "Avanzato" restoration is the least expensive full cosmetic and mechanical rebuild in our program. Our quandry was that many customers would have been satisfied with the car as it stood--looking like a classic example of a solid "driver". The problem with the restoration of any vehicle is that the number of man hours and materials needed to do the job properly can easily exceed the value of the car. For example, even at a nominal labor rate of $100 per hour, a shop can easily spend 500-600 man hours restoring a single car. High-end projects can reach double that time, with some companies charging over $150 per hour for their services. Consequently, there is always a question of time versus return that must be considered with every project. Ambitious folks who buy cars in need of restoration with the intent on doing most of the work themselves have become our best customers. It is easy to get overwhelmed by projects where expertise and resources quickly go beyond the most dedicated enthusiasts. The model year, condition and potential of this TR6 made a proper restoration easy to justify.Put simply, the better the starting point---the better the outcome. The bones were excellent, miles low and previous service history known. Over $6000 in recent receipts were provided by the previous owner. The entire sub structure was amazingly clean for a 40 year old car. All considered, we decided to take a conservative approach to the restoration to keep the price in line with the better examples in the market. To keep the overall budget within a comfortable range, our strategy was to prioritize the paint and mechanical aspects of the project, and limit time with the interior. This was relatively easy, because the previous owner had already made headway there. We added fresh burled walnut to the dash, along with new carpets, insulation and other cosmetic details. Mechanical and Driving Impressions Engine was dry with no leaks. Our service technicians checked compression, rebuilt the carbs and tuned the motor. Fuel delivery and tank were checked and cleaned. Wear components like brakes and suspension members were freshened. Clutch had been done by previous owner. Rear end checked for leaks and re-sealed. Cooling system also checked and freshened. Budget was kept in check by limiting time with electrical system, but all gauges work and car starts without complaint or hesitation. Some electrical upgrades are available, but would be at an additional charge. The driving experience was pleasant. The character of a six-cylinder British engine is very different from an Italian twin cam. We can certainly understand the appeal. A TR6 is a fun drive. Very few vintage cars can match its combination of performance and relative ease of upkeep. These are simple cars with huge upside if kept in top condition. During our test loop, the car was well behaved, and showed no signs of irritability. Acceleration, braking and handling exceeded our expectations. Solid Car! Cosmetic comments The nice thing about driving a professionally restored classic is not having to worry about the basics. Paint, interior and mechanical are all well done, and ready to enjoy. In all candor, we probably went a bit overboard on the paint. The car was fully dis-assembled and stripped prior to the re-spray in the original color. Prep time, material and finish work was comparable to $10-12K job. Really well done. Market Report The following data was taken from NADA classic car guide, which shows values in the $42-$46K range for a top quality car that is driven and shown. This does not include premium values for 100 point show cars that are transported and not driven on the street. Trends for this model are consistently higher, with 72-74 versions showing particular strength. Our asking price is below the current market for comparable '72 TR6 models, not the higher restoration cost. But buying a car on the internet has its own unique challenges. The most obvious concern is an online shopper's inability to test drive and evaluate the car in person. While internet pricing can be attractive, some feel that the unknowns outweigh the benefits. Horror stories about flawed vehicle histories, incomplete documentation, misrepresentations, selective disclosure, and title problems make many potential buyers cringe. The staff is your eyes and ears. We are marketing company representing our own inventory, sourced from some of the finest luxury car dealers in Chicago. Our commitment to complete customer satisfaction is unwavering. Internet Marketing PhilosophyIn our changing marketplace, internet sales have become a vital component to every dealer's sales profile. The internet provides us with a low cost venue to sell select inventory at near wholesale prices without compromising the resources of a dealer's retail sales operation. Internet car sales can take several forms, such as online classifieds and auctions. The most popular, and arguably the most challenging, is Internet sales. Our listings are generally offered on-line between five and ten day time frames. We have represented over 1000 fine automobiles on the internet during the past ten years. The vast majority of these vehicles were sold without the buyer seeing the vehicle prior to his commitment. How was this possible? Our success can be directly attributed to our unique ability to evaluate inventory with consistency, insight and professionalism. This talent extends beyond our hands on assessment of a vehicles cosmetic and mechanical condition. It also includes our research of various data bases to determine past road history and service records. More than half of the vehicles we are asked to represent are rejected immediately because of obvious defects or concerns. An additional percentage fails to make the final cut following our research history. Our company randomly collects/studies data from past internet transactions. We have surveyed customers about their online experiences. Direct interviews and focus data are also compiled in an effort to better understand the Internet consumer. We have worked tirelessly to upgrade and improve our services, from the way our vehicles are screened and selected for Internet sale, to delivery and aftercare procedures. The lessons learned are insightfully applied to our Internet Marketing Program. Only the most fully sorted pre-owned vehicles in our inventory are presented through our Internet marketing program. In conclusion, regardless of venue, it all comes down to the quality of the inventory represented. While cliché, you can never pay too much for a great car. It also follows that a bargain price does not assure satisfaction. Luxury Auto Group knows the difference. Italian convertibles in North America, our foray into British cars has only been in recent. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. Roadster SalonClassic Convertible RecreationsAbout Us Pininfarina designed automobiles have been described as rolling works of art. Like a conservator who restores a classic painting to its original splendor—our artisans take forgotten, road weary Spiders, and return them to a time when they were loved and enjoyed. Our spiders are hand crafted by a team of certified Ferrari mechanics and Italian car specialist. Every chassis is thoroughly screened, refurbished and tested---so that new memories can be built confidently with the turn of a key. Roadster Salon recreates memories of our youth. Simpler times of sunny days, wind in our hair, troubles left behind and a curvy road ahead. Roadster Salon spiders are the evolution of a classic ideal, built to be enjoyed whenever the passion arises. Our intention is not to make a brand new car. Even our most ambitious projects do not change every nut and bolt. We seek to restore beauty, improve reliability, and retain practicality. Roadster Salon Spiders are meant to be driven and enjoyed, not just shipped from show to show. We currently offer four models intended to fit the needs of most customers. From the austere Classico, the high value Basso, premium Avanzato model, to the exotic Ultimo--each package offers superior value for the dollar. Every car can be built to suit the needs and tastes of individual clients. New offerings like the Lusso package and Spider Corsa provide even further inspiration. Custom features, options and color selections are yours to decide. The process is interactive. You dream it, we build it. LUXURY AUTO GROUP/ Internet remarketing solutions Buying a car at a dealership can be daunting. High pressure salespeople.Limited selection. Adversarial negotiations. Not much fun. This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->

Triumph TR6, 1971Unusually clean original car Excellent body with original paint....hence, no damage, no rust, no repairs, no plastic filler, rust free chassis, no trunk floor rust, VERY straight, great door and panel fit, and remarkably well preserved original paint. VERY FEW TR6s can boast of such an excellent body. And fewer with original paint. Excellent drive train, 140-145 psi compression in every cylinder, no smoke hot or cold, 60+ psi oil pressure when warm, quiet valves, no leaks, runs very well. Brakes just done with new calipers, new flex lines, tight front end, new radial tires, four pipe exhaust. Wiring appears to be in very good condition, very clean engine bay, seats recently redone, carpets replaced, good original top with new plastic windows, chrome is a bit worn but not pitted or peeling, no rear universal clunks. Engine seems unusually lively and free revving. No rust on the chassis, floors have been replaced (with factory panels), no rust in inner sills or trunk floor. AND NO rust bubbles on top rear seams (very common). Just received a new transmission mount, new tire rod end boots, and new sway bar bushings. New battery, seat belts, radiator shroud, and lots of little details. A rare opportunity to buy a nice, clean, unmolested fairly early TR6 with full chrome bumpers at a very reasonable price. Ready to drive anywhere. Car available for immediate sale and advertised elsewhere. Hence we reserve the right to end the auction at any time and for any reason. Car is sold ‘as is’ with no warranty or guarantee whatsoever. Has full paperwork for legal registration anywhere. We can assist in transport anywhere in the world and can deliver it on our truck within, say, 300 miles. Glad to store the car in a safe, insured spot until arrangements are made. Terms: 20% deposit with 48 hours and full payment within seven days. W/transfer or check is fine. If you have any questions, the best way to ask is to call me at 203-377-6746 during business hours (EST).

For your consideration is 1975 Triumph TR6 with less than 84,000 original miles. Since purchasing the car, the interior has been refurbished with newly upholstered seats, new carpeting, heat shield\sound deadening on the floors and new seat belts. The trunk has been updated as well, with a new panel kit just recently installed. A new convertible top with a zip-out rear window was recently fitted and is accompanied by a boot\ half-tonneau. The car was recently treated to a fresh paint job which accentuates the lines of the car nicely. Mechanically the car runs well and is fitted with correct "redline" tires. If you follow the TR6 market, you know that these cars have been increasing in desirability and value over the past several years. As such, this example is fairly priced at $13,750 given the work that has been recently completed. Vin # CC66596 L CALL TODAY 773-267-2684 WE SHIP WORLDWIDE! PPI's WELCOME OFFERS WELCOME! Evolve Motors is pleased to present this 1971 Triumph TR6! Exterior: These cars sure do look handsome in British Racing Green. This car received a fresh coat of British Racing Green paint just last year. Paint is B quality; it shows very well but in the inside corners of the truck there’s slight evidence of the Signal Red paint that the car originally wore. Paint presents well; the only spot to note is a light scuff on the driver rear quarter (see photo), which very well may buff out. There are no dents or dings, the car has clearly always been babied. The convertible top and boot are in great shape, with no tears or significant scuffs. Chrome is in good shape and shines well, though there is a dent on the bottom of the center of the chrome front bumper. Wheels are in excellent shape, and are one of our favorite styles here at CCC. Interior: Interior also presents well. The driver’s seat was reupholstered earlier this year. There are no tears, scuffs, or cracks to be found anywhere throughout the interior. Wooden dash face is in good shape, though it does shows slight aging. Gauges are all functional and intact, with no patina or cracking. Underbody/Under the Hood: Having spent it’s entire life garaged in Montana, the car is phenomenally well-preserved. Please look through the underbody and trunk photos, there’s no rust to be found anywhere. At the very front of the driver’s side frame rail we do see evidence of some sort of repair – there’s a weld in place, which is documented in the photos. The car runs and drives very well, better than the large majority of Triumphs I’ve driven. Shifts are quick and smooth, suspension is solid and confidence-inspiring, and braking is straight and consistent. Overall, this a very nice, rust-free example that drives even better than it looks.
