I have always had convertibles, both old and new, but never have had a car that is this much fun. Let me introduce you to "Lucy Lou." I bought this magnificent classic car in July of 2016, and I am the third owner. The first owner was in New Orleans, and the second owner was in Tampa, Florida. The second owner did not drive it, and only showed her at car shows. It has never been up North and has no rust. She has never failed to start. When I first bought her and took her to a mechanic, he indicated that she was in excellent shape. I took her to a local classic car show 2 weeks ago in Webster, Florida and she won the Tom Cushman's People's Choice Award. Everyone loves her! Also, comes with a car cover and 2 mud guards, a box of various bits and pieces, 2 repair operation manuals and a Triumph Spitfire Haynes restoration manual. I love this car. I drive it daily in town and around to The Villages in Florida. The only reason I am selling is because my husband recently had a triple bypass and it is now hard for him to get in and out of. I want to buy a car that we can have fun in together! The place where we live has a homeowner's association and each resident is only allowed 2 cars, so when I buy my next convertible then I would have to pay to store this one, as my husband also has a truck. Lucy Lou does not want to be stored, she wants to be DRIVEN! She runs like a dream. A blast to drive. Everywhere I go, I have folks stopping me to ask questions, as well as tell me all about a Spitfire that they have owned in the past. Either that, or they have a friend that owns one. Where did I get it? Is it for sale? Isn't it fun to drive! Or, how is it on gas? You name it, they have asked it. I have often come out from grocery shopping and found 2 or 3 men or women clustered about the car, marveling about it. Some even wanting me to raise the bonnet, so they can explain all about the engine and the inner workings of the car. When I stop at a stoplight, drivers roll their windows down to chat about my car. One even asked me to pull over to look inside at the engine, and then launched into a funny story about one that he owned when he was in college. It really is quite amazing! Ready to show or drive. She is a wonderful car and a total delight. You would be very lucky to own her. I will be very sad to part with her. NADA GUIDE shows this model with a high retail of $13,700. Hagerty.com shows the following values for this car: #1 Concours- $16,600 #2 Excellent- $11,700 #3 Good- $5800 We believe this vehicle falls in the "excellent" category, and is priced under value. What have I done (or know that has been done) to the car? New paint job with original paint color “Tahiti Blue” New interior New top New front windshieldNew dash coverNew starter New pump for windshield wiper water Replaced rocket cover gasket Gas tank indicator Rebuilt door handle mechanisms New accelerator cable Radiator heat shields New classic side mirrors Dual carbs have been replaced with Weber carb New tonneau cover was made and screws were changed from plastic to stainless on the soft top hood cover. The new tonneau cover now snaps right on the hood cover, so the hood cover can still be in place. This is perfect if you are shopping and want to protect the inside from either prying eyes or rain Bid NOW to buy this piece of history. I want someone to own her that will love her and baby her as much as I do!

THIS IS A NO RESERVE Fixed Price Make an Offer AUCTION!!! THIS is the LAST year of the Spitfire. A nice example in White with Saddle Top and Houndstooth check cloth interior. Original owner bought this car NEW in 1979 for his late wife. I am the second owner but currently have original Title. I have ALL maintenance records, Original Bill of Sale, Dealer Paperwork, ALL receipts, Window Sticker, Owners Manual, etc.. Spare tire never out of the trunk. Included are the original floor mats (in the trunk), Tonneau Cover and Convertible boot. Needs a few minor items, radio antenna, wiper blades, smokes a little but has been sitting a while. I drove it yesterday, about 60 miles, a joy! but starts, runs strong, drives. This car is 37 years old and NOT restored. So expect normal wear and tear, but the interior is in good shape, drivers seat worn, tear in top of console, one small crack in dash pad. Has been running Antique Tags and driven occasionally for years. Garage kept until the last month. 4 cylinder 1500 engine, 4 speed transmission, FACTORY AM/FM radio (works but needs antenna) Factory striping (red, white, blue). With a little work a shade tree mechanic could make a fine rally or local show car with this original survivor car. Very little rust in lower rear fenders not through just surface. Original Factory Paint shines! Glass is good! Everything electronic working when I parked it yesterday!LOW LOW RESERVE!!! This is a 1972 Triumph Spitfire Mk IV in Pimento red. It has a 1300cc engine plus J-Type Overdrive. This car has been totally reliable in my ownership, starting easily and running well. The engine appears to be in good condition with no visible smoke on start-up. Like most classic Triumphs it drips a little oil. Originally a non-overdrive car, the overdrive transmission was fitted recently and operates correctly with the switch being on the gearstick. (Original transmission available) The braking system has recently been overhauled as has been much of the suspension. Braking is smooth and effective, as is the parking brake. The exhaust has been replaced recently. The bodywork is generally good, though there are a few minor dings and blemishes in the paintwork commensurate with its age. This aside the paintwork is good with little sign of "orange peel". It has a good shine. There is little evidence of rust; the driver's footwell flooring has been repaired but apart from this all bodywork appears sound. There is minor cracking in the area around the hood clamps and near the headlights, both common Spitfire features. I have recently coated the underbody with black rubberised paint to add to rust prevention. The chassis frame including outriggers looks sound with only minor surface rusting in places. The Minator wheels are in excellent condition and make an attractive period feature. The interior is in good condition. The whole carpet set is new, black with attractive red edging. Both door panels are new as is the dashtop cover. The car has its original high-back seats. Securon retractable seat belts have recently been fitted to improve safety, but this means the original seatbelt warning light does not function. The wiring however is still present if the new owner wished to replace the belts with original style items. There is no radio but a 12 V socket plus a USB socket are located in the radio space. The trunk has recently been lined with black vinyl and carpeting, making it neater and more attractive than the original. There is a spare wheel and cover. The soft top is showing its age in places but is basically sound. Some stitching along seams has been repaired and is not as tidy as the original. Most Spitfires however rarely need the top up! It has its own boot cover when the soft top is folded down. All in all, this is a good looking usable car that needs nothing major doing before being ready to enjoy. The mileage quoted is as shown, not guaranteed correct. I have described this to the best of my knowledge and understanding. The car comes with no warranty. Any car over 40 years old is likely to show its age in some way and this is no exception. It is not a concours car. Any potential purchaser is encouraged to view the car before purchase. It is available to view in Chester NY - Hudson Valley area near the 87 thruway, 84 Interstate and 17. About 50 miles north of NYC. More photos are available. $500 due immediately with balance within 7 days. Car will not be released until full payment received and confirmed.

Up for auction is my wifes very nice 1975 Triumph Spitfire. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Please take time to read the auction in it's entirety as much work and dollars have been spent. In the last 4240 miles the car has had over $8853 spent on her ( receipts come with the car ) so you can be assured she has been well taken car of and ready for the road. Mechanicals: The car has had much work done and dollars spent and she is ready for the open road. Over the last 4240 miles $8853 or more has been spent and I have the receipts to prove it. She runs and drives great. The car was just had major service / work completed this week. The service this week included new points, new spark plugs, new ignition wires, new distributor cap, new rotor button, oil change and new air filter. Within roughly the last 4240 miles the following work was also completed. Most of which was done at the "Flying Circus English Cars" repair shop in Raleigh North Carolina: new heater control valve, new temp sending unit, new fuel sending unit, new battery, new front rotors, new front brake pads, new wheel bearings, front end alignment, new brake master cylinder, new clutch mater cylinder, new front shocks, front springs / coils, new voltage regulator, upgraded DVG Webber carburetor, new rear shock, new rear Leaf Springs & mounting hardware, new axle, new U-joints, new rear suspension trunnion kit, new vertical link Trunnion, new complete exhaust system and 5 new quality tires where fitted ( 4 on the car and 1 on the trunk spare ).The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises. The car also sports an upgraded auxiliary electric radiator fan to ensure you'll never have an over heating issue with the car. The rear end is strong and makes no noises. The car needs nothing that I know of other than to be driven and enjoyed. Electrical's: Many hours and dollars where spent on going through this area: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, horn works, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, interior courtesy light work , dash gauge lights work, radio works and blower fan works. All gauges are correct "Smith" brand and are in working order. Note: The car does have a backup temp gauge and a oil pressure gauge for safety. Interior: Is in good condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Exterior: The car looks very nice in the photos and in person but I would still say the paint is of driver quality ( not show ). I would rather under state the paint quality as apposed to over stating it and the buyer being disappointed . The soft top is brand NEW and was installed just this week. The chrome wheel trim rings and chrome door mirrors where recently replaced as well. The car is extremely straight and the bumpers are in nice condition. Underbody: This area looks original and in very good condition. I find no rust issues with the car. Underbody photos available upon request. Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car does comes with a spare wheel with a new tire installed on the rim, lug wrench, jack and 2 repair manuals and the original owners operating manual / book. Offers: Yes I'm open to offers but please don't waist your time with low ball offers. Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or the extra photos I have available please ask prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. Due to the cars age and having no way to warranty the car I'm selling her "as is". A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end.

1978 Triumph Spitfire, owned, babied and always kept garaged by two classic car collectors for the past 15 years. Not a show car but an excellent driver. It has an am-fm cassette deck but trust me, you'll never listen to it with the way this car sounds. I have 12 collector cars and will be selling my two Triumph's this winter. The other is a beautiful 1980 TR7 convertible in the same Brooklands green color- feel free to contact me if interested. Only selling to clear garage space for some spring shopping. Also for sale locally. Sold "as-is" and no warrantees or guarantees are given or implied. I have done my best to describe the overall condition of this car as I know it. I'm not a mechanic and I don't work on my cars, so while I will be happy to try and answer any questions, I am limited in my mechanical knowledge- I always have my collector cars serviced by a local European car specialist. Personal inspections are encouraged. I am located in Earlysville, Va., only a few miles from the Charlottesville, Va. airport.

1969 Triumph Spitfire MkIIIConvertible We are selling off all of my husbands Triumphs here in the next few weeks - if this is not the one you want, stay tuned for his 66 Spit, 68 Spit or the 80 Spit. All coming out of the barn in the coming weeks - My loss, your project. The 1980 Spit is already listed under my husbands account 'morefromlovemytriumph'. Up for auction is a 1969 Triumph Spitfire MkIII. He's owned the car since 2000. He purchased the car in the Pittsburgh area and drove it home in its present condition. The car was driven right into the barn and has been there ever since. Will make someone a nice winter project. PA title is clear (odometer may not be accurate). Since I haven't pulled it out of the barn yet, I really can't tell you much about its present condtion. Sitting next to the 66 (green) Spit in the barn - more pictures and details will follow this week hopefully. You are always welcome to make arrangements and come and inspect it for yourself. Car spent sometime overseas in England and was shipped home by a US Air Force officer (see license plate and window sticker). Royal blue painted over original yellow is checkered and dull. Passenger door is locked and I couldn't open it to get anymore pictures. There is no warranty or guarantee implied here. The car is 46 years old and I am not a certified mechanic. 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500Convertible Up for auction is a running 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500. I've owned the car for several years now; since 2009. I purchased the car in the Pittsburgh area and drove it consistently for the next several years in good weather. The car has sat the past two years basically not driven but started and 'driveway' driven. This year, my intentions were to have my mechanic inspect the car and make it roadworthy. I purchased most of the necessary parts this spring from The Roadster Factory, but never had a chance to have the car looked at because of my work schedule. The new parts are included in the sale of the car*. Will make someone a nice winter project and be able to drive in the spring. Last fall, I replaced the (new) slave cylinder for the transmission. At the same time, I installed a used radiator to replace the leaking one; and also installed all new hoses, new overflow bottle and coolant. Car runs well and starts easily, can be driven onto transport. PA title is clear, mileage exempt (odometer may not be accurate). New parts include:New, gearbox transmission tunnel and mounting hardware.New, two (2) new oil filtersNew set of front disc brakes including pads and rotor, hardware.New set of rear brake pads, hardware.New (2) rear brake adjustersNew (2) rear wheel brake cylinders and hardware.New emergency brake cable You will need new tires and a battery to make it roadworthy. All lights and gauges work (except for the cd/radio - I forgot to hook it back up when I replaced the slave cylinder). Interior is worn but useable, seats have covers on them. Paint is in poor condition, but can wait. The red was put on top of BRG, top coat has worn off, not holding a shine. Surface rust, but holes or putty that I am aware of. P/O had stickers of the door panels (not appropriate - #53 Herbie) when removed it took some paint on the drivers side. The convertible top will need replaced, functional but not good. Has a hole in the top and a couple of holes at the plastic windows. Like I said, I was planning on driving it this summer with more restorations in the future, but now I need to sell the car. I am selling off all of my Triumphs here in the next few weeks - if this is not the one you want, stay tuned for my 66 Spit, 68 Spit or the 69 Spit. All coming out of the barn in the coming weeks - My loss, your project. There is no warranty or guarantee implied here. The car is 36 years old and I am not a certified mechanic. Car is sold in the 'as is' condition. Before you try to give me a low offer, please understand the new parts are valued alone at about $400.00. *If you don't want the parts, I am acceptable to a lower price. Make your offer, just be reasonable, maybe we can work something out. I would like the car picked up as soon as possible - My barn is coming down and no longer will have dry storage. Car will have to be paid in full at that time. I am asking for a deposit only to keep people honest. See my other auctions and feedback as Lovemytriumph. Check out my other items! You're looking at the best of Europe. Italian styling wrapped in a nimble British package and named after a famous WWII fighter plane. If this one seems particularly appealing to you, that's because it's fresh from a two-year, frame-off restoration project. This included stripping and priming the whole car (just look at the undercarriage photos) to ensure that there would be no future issues with the super straight body. The bright yellow paint is the perfect shade for this classic roadster. A sprightly and aggressive bumblebee of a car like this one deserves a bold color that announces this car is here for fun. These final 1500 series Spitfires had arguably some of the best styling cues of the bunch with the flat rear end that was a cue taken from larger Triumphs like the Stag, and the steel wheels can be fitted with trim rings like they were Chevy's rally units. The Spitfire was always about representing the plucky nature of a British sports car. That meant an interior built for function, but in true English fashion, craftsmanship was still a priority. This nature is at its best in this roadster because nearly everything was rebuilt or replaced during its full restoration. That's why the tan vinyl on the seats looks the same as when this car got off the boat in 1977. The real wood dashboard is smooth and beautiful with plenty of room to hold the heater/defrost controls and the full gauge package. From the moment you slip behind the wheel you know why Spitfires were legendary. The three-spoke sports steering wheel is the perfect diameter, and your right hand just naturally rests on the gearstick. This will fit you like a glove, and make you want to play hooky on every sunny day. If the weather does turn gray and wet, then just remove the convertible boot cover and raise the tan vinyl top with one hand. The final series of Spitfires received the largest motor of the bunch. A 1.5-liter four-cylinder might not seem like much, but there's much more to this story. The powerplant was completely rebuilt less than 200 miles ago with upgrades that include twin HS4 SU carburetors, bored .030 over kit, Kent camshaft, solid state ignition, and stainless header and exhaust. So this is little Spitfire knows how to get aggressive without losing its sprightly charm. And that's exactly how these became so popular. The car barely tipped the scales but had a level of rigidity not seen on other roadsters of its day. These were built on a solid backbone chassis with lightweight metal partial unibody. This gave them a solid but nimble feeling on the backroads, and it only got better when paired with the four-speed manual transmission w/electronic overdrive and front disc brakes. This Spitfire almost seems too good to be true, but we have restoration photos and receipts that prove the amount of sweat equity (and money) someone invested. As such, this car is being sold at a significant loss to the restorer and the lucky buyer of this car is going to benefit without having to foot the bill of an expensive restoration. The current owner of the car has requested to keep the original restoration photos but we can make copies upon request to stay with the car. Indeed, this may be one of the nicest Triumph Spitfire's in the entire world. It's an amazing roadster that will bring you more open top joy than anything at even double the asking price.
