This is a "one of a kind TR 6". 5 year frame on restoration. Purchased the car in 2009. Car had been housed in a barn in Va. when I purchased it. The only rust of any kind that was found when purchased, was located in the small patch panel area in the front lower fender.Only one had 3 pin holes, but both sides were leaded in and replaced. Car was completely dismantled, all fenders, doors, trunk, hood, rear deck stripped to bare metal. Metal in all floor, trunk, deck areas rock solid. Entire inside of tub was sanded and primed with POR15 rust proofing. Entire under side of car was sanded and also POR15 treated. All inner fenders were undercoated. 1973 Triumph TR6 in Pimento Red. It runs and drives well with 10' paint (could use a fresh spray) and almost new tires. I spent more than $2000 on parts: new mirrors, new filters & fluids, new clutch slave cylinder (not rebuilt but brand new), new console buttons, carpets and marine grade vinyl for trunk. I also painted trunk and floor panels with POR15 and covered the floors with FatMat sound deadener. It has the original color and interior codes with matching body/engine numbers. Kept in a climate controlled garage and never driven on rain or snow. Its currently on the road with a valid NY State inspection and I have a clean title in hand. Why am I selling it? I bought it with plans to have it restored and spent more than $2K on parts but unfortunately I had to deal with some health issues and could not continue with restoration. It runs fantastic and the supercharger yields a 30% power and torque increase! The work that has been done to this car is partially listed below. I bought this car from a Six Pack member and I am regrettably selling it owing to financial reasons. This person did all the work in the last 12 years. He is very meticulous! This was made obvious to me during extensive conversations that I had with him before I purchased this car. Also, I have a complete service records with all the receipts he acquired as he was redoing the car (A full file box full of them!). The car is an original overdrive car that works perfect. The car is fitted with center lock spline-drive Dayton Wire Wheels that use tubeless tires. As can be seen from the ID tag, the original color of the car was Maple Brown with Beige interior. The car is presently Jaguar Racing Green with Beige interior. There are no rust issues on this car. The paint, however, does have some blemishes and imperfections. The color change is very good and was done some time ago. I have listed some of the individual upgrades and work that has been done to this amazing car: Engine: The engine was completely rebuilt around 10k miles ago. This rebuild included new crankshaft (polished), camshaft, ceramic coated pistons, block cold tanked, rings, bush standard ration rocker arms, high performance lifters, chrome moly pushrods, adjustable cam sprockets, oil pump, water pump, distributer (solid state), MSD ignition, tri-metal main and rod bearings and GM alternator conversion. The flywheel has been lightened and the entire engine was dynamically balanced such that every piston and rod was balanced within .5 grams of each other. Of course, there was the fitment of the Rootes type Supercharger. This also included the fitment of a single SU carb and a different fuel pump. There is a pressure gage under the hood to monitor the fuel pressure. Every detail has been attended to in fitting and setting up this supercharger. I have dyno readouts that were done for this car: 128.4 Hp and 175 lb-ft torque (stock is 91 Hp and 123 lb-ft torque). Remember, these are rear wheel figures, not at the crankshaft. Transmission/Overdrive: The clutch has been altered from stock. It utilizes a Gunst throw-out bearing which is a significant from stock. A new clutch master cylinder was also fitted. The transmission and J type overdrive have been completely gone through with new seals. The car shifts perfectly and the overdrive works effortlessly. The car was also fitted with a high-torque starter motor. Suspension/Brakes: The car has been fitted with KYB Gas tube shocks, sway bars front and rear, Front spindle reinforcing kit, slotted rotors, Toyota 4-piston calipers in front, finned rear brake drums, master cylinder and residual pressure valve. As mentioned above, the car is equipped with Dayton tubeless center lock wire wheels (to the tune of $1200). These wheels are all chrome and require no maintenance. Interior: The interior has been completely redone using ’69 seats and fully rebuilt pre-72 gages. The speedometer, after it was rebuilt was set to the mileage on the car. So, the mileage listed is close to original. The window mechanisms have been replaced and the dashboard is a beautiful birdseye maple. The top is in beautiful shape and I have the boot and the tonneau cover. I also have a complete car cover. There is a neat electronic gage under the dash that monitors boost, engine fuel/air mixture and fuel pressure. The wiring to the headlights has been relayed for long life. The key has been moved to the center of the dash like the ‘69’s. Everything works on this car! There is much more to this car than I can even explain here. I have many more photos if wanted. 1972 was the last year for chrome bumper. No ugly rubber bumper overriders Car drives well at highway speeds with no inordinate vibration . Steering is firm and non-wandering. Overdrive works smoothly . OD switch is factory Stag conveniently relocated on the gearshift knob . 1500mi on rebuilt engine . Barely broke in . Stainless steel stock style muffler. Rear lever shocks converted to tube shock kit. Complete interior/exterior restoration in 2011, including; New windshield and rubber ws. New conv top that I have always left UP . That way no creases in the softop windows . New carpet kit . I never glue down carpet anymore in convertibles to make it possible to remove it WHEN it gets wet or soiled. The install is streched tite without glue . Comes with boot cover . New paint is Triumph Carmine red in single stage urethane . Never needs wax. A deep burgundy when overcast that pops blood red in sunshine .   At ankle level all-around the car HD truck bed coating (impact resistant) applied before paint. I have added about 1500miles in the 17 years I owned the car.  Stored carefully every Winter.   Car is pretty much mint.  Runs great. Super clean. Every 5 yr the underbody fogged with Waxoil even though never driven in the wet. And yes THOSE wheels ! Got them with the car . I have a real head turner here! My Triumph Tr6 is one of the nicest ones around! Has a custom paint job and absolutely no rust! The engine runs flawlessly, I had it tuned up and all gaskets replaced, the clutch is new and the twin carburetors were rebuilt, that cost me over 2 thousand!(just for the carbs!!) All mechanical work was done by a Triumph specialist and I have all the receipts! This car is spectacular please check it out, I have thousands invested in this car, I would like the buy it now price, but shoot me a reasonable offer.PS, there are no oil spots on the floor of my garage!
