Stunning Original Arctic White 1974 Triumph TR-6, a Superb drive! 1974 Triumph TR6, time capsule with 79k miles from new. This 2 owner Arizona vehicle is all Original, not restored! Always garaged. There only original like this, once..! Everything is in amazing shape, & overall condition. Rock solid rust free body & rot free frame. The original Arctic White paint is beautiful, as is the original interior & top. This TR6 is truly as straight and solid as the 50 pictures show. The car has never suffered from rust or accident history. No rust in the truck bottom or on the floors. The engine is strong with no smoke on start up. The clutch and transmission are good with quiet gears and good synchros. The top is correct and is in new condition. The bucket seats are newly upholstered- stuffed & up – excellent shape, the door panels, carpets and wood dash are well preserved and look great. Dash has a few cracks from the dry Arizona climate. Gauges work as designed and in good condition. The body panels and panel fit is excellent. Paint is as good original condition. This TR6 is as nice in person as pictures show. I have put $17,500 into this vehicle to make it the beauty it is. I have owned the Triumph since 1998. This car has only had 2 owners and I am the second owner. I've had the engine carefully rebuilt 12,000 miles ago by a racing motor specialist. The engine was balanced and blue printed. It has a new 3/4 Race Isky Cam and high performance clutch. It has new valves, new pistons, new bearings, new timing chain and gears, the rods were magna fluxed, and a new oil cooler was added. The heads were shaved to give it better compression. The transmission has been rebuilt. It features a newer interior, top, rubber, shocks, and paint. It also has new headers and Weber carbs. It has been rebushed, and has new springs and has been converted to unleaded gas. The vehicle was repainted in the original color with an Imron base coat and then clear coated. We believe the original Roadster color was Imperial Blue. Also a hard top goes with the car but is not pictured. It spent half of its life in California, in Pennsylvania, it is garage kept and seldom driven. There are a few tiny paint bubbles, one can be seen in one of the pictures. I purchased this TR6 from a gentleman who has owned this classic for almost 20-years. I got it in March of this year and below is list of things that I've done to it. - New power brakes (includes master cylinder, calipers, front rotors, front pads) with receipt - Full carburetor service (includes new weber air filter) with receipt - Full fuel system flush with receipt - Full engine oil flush with new filter and adapter with receipt - Full cooling system flush with receipt - Full tune-up (includes new distributor cap, rotor) with receipt - Full electrical system check (all lights, wipers, heater fan blower, gauges are working) with receipt It comes with a soft-top with cover and also tonneau cover. Runs very strong even I was able to cruise at 70-mph on the freeway for a 40-mile trip this weekend. Body is straight with minor wear and tear, surface rusts here and there but nothing major. This TR6 has had a major remodeling. New paint and new interior including beautiful upholstery in the boot (trunk). It comes with a matching hardtop that has a new headliner and trim. It also has a new convertible top that is stored in its own custom storage case along with a tonneau cover and a soft top cover that matches the interior. Exterior changes include wrap around bumper protectors, front and rear, chrome bullet mirrors, chrome windshield wiper blade arms, and manual cowl air vent from an earlier TR6. Wheels are Minator Minilite style with Michelin Raised White Letter XW4 225x70R15 tires with less than 5000 miles on them. Brakes have all been redone with cross drilled front rotors and finned rear wheel drums. Good Parts trailing arm adjustable brackets are installed as are a rear wheel tube shock conversion. All wheel arches have Moss wheel arch protectors. The wheel/tires have been expertly balanced and a four wheel alignment was recently performed. This is a southern New Mexico car with no discernable rust that I know of. An AM/FM cassette deck is installed in the center consul. The engine has less than 7000 miles on it since it was rebuilt. It included a 30 over boring and installation of a roller rocker system for the valves. Recent rebuild of the dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors included new needle valves, float valves and all gaskets. Expert tuning could help in maximizing their performance. The sound from its dual exhaust system is wonderful. The fuel delivery system includes a new electric fuel pump, a King pressure regulator with glass bowl filter, fuel pressure gauge and all connecting hoses are the new Gates alcohol proof ones. Pertronix powers the ignition thru high performance plug wires. Also under the bonnet is a new radiator shroud and a fairly recent battery with a manual cutoff. The starter has been replaced with a more modern high torque unit. A new thermostat and gasket were also recently replaced. There is a custom 16 inch LeCarra wood rim steering wheel that the previous owner had them make specifically for this car, so that the steering effort would be less. It is a beautiful wheel but does make exit and entry a tad harder for some of us more portly types. The car handles beautifully with it. This TR6 is quick and fun to drive. The transmission is solid and the shifts are very positive. The suspension springs are the stiffer road springs, so the lean into the corners is minimum. The seats are very comfortable and the seat belt retractors work wonderfully. I am selling this vehicle since age is becoming a factor in our household and the wife has been suggesting(?) it is time to start downsizing. Also included are two pieces of LL Bean soft sided luggage: a wheeled large duffel and a good sized hand carry on. Both are in a yellow color that nearly matches the car's color. There is also an LL Bean soft side cooler in yellow and matching men's and ladies jackets in yellow from the same supplier.
