The “914/4” became Porsche’s top seller during its model run, outselling the Porsche 911 by a wide margin with over 118,000 units sold worldwide. The Porsche 914 is renowned for having been Formula One’s first Safety Car following its deployment at the 1973 Canadian Grand Prix to help manage the race, which had seen various incidents due to treacherous weather conditions. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this unique and rarely seen 1974 Porsche 914 Targa. This is the true classic European collector’s find! Finished in a beautiful Silver, the paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection, with a notable blemish on the rear deck lip Inside, the seats all look great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels and dashboard are matched perfectly the exterior of the car and look fantastic. Car was disassembled for paint and straight body is exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find. Targa top on or off, this 914 will delight even the most discerning collector or enthusiast! But please consider that these old cars, even when in great operational order are nothing like your modern car! Please do not expect even a restored several decades old car to perform with the same preciseness or reliability as a late model car. If you're new to the hobby please feel free to contact me. I have driven classic cars continuously for over 30 years and am happy to share the joys as well as the realities involved in owning these special old cars.
