This is a very solid 914. It was originally purchased here and has been in NM since 1974. No rust in the doors or rockers like many do. It was a restoration project that was left abandoned about 7 years ago and has sat in a garage in pieces since. It appears complete but I have not taken inventory and will include everything that it came with. I believe it is well worth restoring. All the glass is nice, the doors open and close with ease, most of all, it's just a super straight car! The paint is flaking due to the desert sun but you can see how clean the sheet metal still is. The buckets are surprisingly nice. The dash pad and armrest need a recover. If you were to purchase as a parts machine for your 914 it would prove to be invaluable. I wanted to restore it but decided to build another bug instead. Car is to be picked up by the purchaser within 2 weeks of pay pal payment. It has a clear NM title(not salvage) and keys. I am selling her as-is for parts or restore and all sales are final. Please email with any questions or picture requests. Good Luck!!!

Estate find! This looks to be a nice little car but I'm not an expert so please look closely at the photo's and ask me any questions you have. The previous owner did a lot of work to this car about 10 to 13 years ago including new paint, rebuilding the motor (approximately 6000 miles on rebuild), replacing the clutch, new brakes, new tires, new KYB shocks and michilen tires. The car is a white with some pearl in it. The original color code shows orange and you can see spots in some area's where the orange paint shows. There is a big chip out of the paint on the drivers door (see picture). It has aftermarket spoke wheels that kind of look like mini-lites but they are not. The interior is in pretty good condition but I'm not sure if the previous owner had this done. There are two small holes and a stain on the passenger side. I did use a carpet cleaner on this stain and most of it came out but I think it needs a bit more cleaning and it will come out. The carpets are in decent condition but could use some cleaning as well. There are some cracks on the dash (see pictures) but overall it looks OK. The car runs and drives fine. It tracks straight on the road and steers well. It starts right away and shifts just fine. The brakes work fine as well. The passenger side door lock does not seem to work and you can't open the passenger door from the outside right now. The key goes in but it does not turn. Also, the key lock for the hood latch does not work and is stuck in the locked position. The handle mount is detached from the car so you just pull the whole thing to open the hood. The targa top seems to fit well and all the latches work. The top itself could use a paint job too. The windshield has a crack on the passenger side. The drivers side window has some issues staying on track when closing but I think that's just a lube issue. It looks like the car may have been hit on the front passenger side at some point as the headlight bucket and the passengerside inner fender well look like they have been straightened. The odometer does not work so I don't know the actual miles of the car but I'm assuming it's over 122K since it shows about 22K right now. I have a clean title.
