1972 Porsche 914 Chalon. Targa style roof is removable. The Chalon conversion was made by Mitcom in California and gives it that slant nose look. 1.8 4 cylinder Engine was converted to a carb set-up. Black Vinyl Interior. Driver seat has splits in it. (See photos) 5 speed trans, Fuchs alloy wheels. It should have new tires. Hella Fog Lamps, Chin Spoiler, JVC AM/FM/Cassette The paint has suffered over the years and shows fade, scratches and minor dents. There is paint bubbling where the body kit meets the original body. The chassis will need some rust repairs but overall is better than most. (See photos of car when up on our lift in shop) The windshield is cracked. It will need some brake work for inspection. This is a rare combination and will continue to appreciate. They are not factory wheels but are period correct. Factory Center Console with three gauges in it. Radio is an aftermarket unit. Dash has the gauges in it. Speedometer shows 65,273 miles which is documented on the title. Clear Pennsylvania Title. Title is branded as "reconstructed". It can be registered as it is. Engine is a 1.7 The engine turns over. We did not try to start it. Trans is a 5 speed manual Chassis is rusty. It has body rust in all of the usual places and will need lots of welding and patchwork. Restored in 1980 and repainted in 2000, as-is. I purchased it in 1976, first owner documents in car. Work done includes replaced both front brake flex lines and calipers, master cylinder, stainless steel exhaust and heater boxes, throttle cable, shifter bushings, regular maintenance, oil changes, etc. Installed a nice speaker system in the original speaker grills with a Pioneer in-dash radio.
