Very Good original condition...never been wrecked! extremely original; no upgrades or mods!! Has the awesome 964 engine, which has twin-plug dual distributor and is 3.6 Liters... Great power, but is very efficient on fuel...Luxurious interior, feels very plush and has that classic German Porsche feel and looks...This car is the last of an era, which has the original 911 lines, but has the more modern upgrades, so it is much more comfortable than its predecessors...Great Modern Classic TRUE Sports Automobile!!! The color of the car is Black and that is its original color, from the Factory...Interior is Tan on the seats & carpet, but switches to Black at the dashboard & the window sills and goes all the way up to the headliner; which is a great look and a great combination! I bought the car a couple years ago from a Commercial Airplane Pilot, who took extensive records and great care of the vehicle ( like you do an airplane)... I have all the books and CarFax on the car...Apparently, I am the 6th owner, but the car has spent the last 10 years in Florida. I will be able to supply all info, upon request... This car has a Porsche Factory alarm system which works well with the key, and automatic door locks (locks both doors, when you engage)...Plus, adding to it's luxury status, it has electric windows, which work very well. Overall, this is a great and beautiful car, with the Classic 911 look, but with the most advanced technology, for the Classic looking 911 Model. It's really the best of both the 'vintage look' and 'modern drive' Worlds! However, the car is 25 years old now, and has some minor issues; I will do my best to list them here: -Paint looks good when polished, but tends to fade out fast, in the sunlight; has some spots where the paint was 'burned' through, from someone who didn't know what they were doing with a polisher...due to this, there are a couple spots where you can see the grey primer under the paint; namely where you put your arm, on the drivers door, when the window is down, and a small spot on the deck lid. Other than this, the paint looks ok when buffed, but there are a couple other issues that would warrant a new paint job, on the whole car. It would be sweet with a new paint job; but looks ok, for now.-Fortunately and Unfortunately, the windshield had to be replaced, and was replaced with a proper Porsche lightweight windshield with the radio antenna built into the windshield, itself... The windshield is clean & clear and does not have any scratches or scuff marks, in it. The unfortunate part is, the seal was not installed properly on the passenger side and water has gotten down behind the seal and caused so metal rust/ rot, right under the lower passenger side of the windshield...I was advised the best way to fix this would be to remove the windshield when repainting the car and fix this small area of metal rust...will supply photos of rusted area...This may be the worst thing wrong with this car!-A trim limb landed on the roof of the car and put some small dents in the roof that can be popped out by a dent remover; Estimate was $350 from a Professional dent remover....will add photos of damage...-The Odometer stopped working about 1000 miles ago, for no apparent reason?? I do not drive the car very often, so I know there has not been that many miles put on the car, since the Odometer stopped working. Plus, there was only 95,000 miles on the car when I bought it 2 years ago...This car is a weekend car ONLY! I have a work truck for every day driving...-The rear driving and brake lights have a worn appearance...may be able to be buffed out, or may need replacing to freshen up, when the car is painted. The front headlights, look great and perfect! (see photos)-Tires are original Factory recommended Dunlop D40's....they have some life left in them, but they will need to be replaced soon...That could be a good thing, because I always thought this car would look much better with some updated or 'flashier' wheels!!-Air Conditioning works well; better than 911 models previous to this year (which has always been a weak point for Classic 911s); it may need some maintenance and a recharge to work optimally, and on a humid day, there would be a little condensation leaking from under the dash. My mechanic told me a drain line must be clogged... Other than that, the Air Conditioning works well.-The front seats show normal wear, especially on the drivers side, where ther is a small rip, but is barely noticeable; but there is rash on the leather from getting in and out of the car; Overall the leather and interior inside the car looks very good, for its age...the shifter handle shows the most wear, with some dirty looking leather around where you put your hand all the time, to shift the tranny. It could easily be replaced/ refreshened with a new shift boot handle, which porsche still offers in this Factory tan color, for sure...-The carpets in the car have some normal wear, for 25 year old carpet, but it appears there has always been a second set of rugs that were fitted and laid over the originals, to preserve the original carpet; Overall the carpet wear is minimal and looks nice.-The engine was serviced in 2005 and taken out of the car to go through all seals and make certain this engine did not leak any oil! Apparently, the previous owner, being a pilot, had a pet-peave about oil leaks and as soon as he bought it, he had all the seals done on the engine...Vintage 911s are known to leak oil, but they must have done a great job, because this engine barely has a drop of oil, every now and again, under where I park it in my garage...I did however notice, the power steering fluid is leaking and seems to need some tightening of clamps, or possibly a new hose, somewhere near the reservoir, in or under the engine bay; should be very minor...-The engine runs very nicely and had a valve adjustment done in 2008 at somewhere around 80,000 miles...I have the exact details in the log book that was kept with the car. It may be time for a tune-up, but the plugs only have less than 10,000 miles on them, so it should not need much to make the engine in tip-top shape...-This car has the motorised ducktail wing, that raises at around 45 mph and lowers when you come to a stop. It functions fine, but there are 2 small cracks in the tail, which can be fixed with the bodywork & painting. I would say, for the cars age, it's in very good condition and still has a lot of life left in her...She has been a great car, and these engines are known for their reliability and efficient gas mileage. I honestly cannot believe how good the gas mileage is, even when you romp on the pedal, she still doesnt go through that much fuel; not like my work truck. I guess it has a lot to do with the twin-plug and dual distributor design, for the 3.6 liter engines. It make lots of power, for a non-Turbo car; enough to scare you because 120 comes up pretty quick and you can find yourself getting into trouble, very fast! This 911 handles like a dream, but is set up for US ride-height standards, which is a little higher than the Euro spec. I like it, because the car never bottoms out or has issues with speed bumps or pulling in and out of steep driveways or parking lots. It is a real dream to drive and I really dont want to sell her, but I found out my Dads cancer came back, for the third time and I am going to need to make some changes in my life to accomodate him, in his time of need. So, there is a lot that is gonna go, because there is no room at his house, and this car is one of the things that is gonna have to go, because I would not park a Classic like this outside...It should be housed in a garage and slightly restored, as these cars are on the rise in value! Trust me, I have owned many Porsches and I had a 1972 Porsche 911 before this one, and this car is the one you want, as it has all the luxuries and power you could ever want out of a 'true' Sports Car!!! This is a VERY rare car, only 288 US cars made, and then coupled with this color combo (Black / Cashmere) and mileage (20k), likely makes it one of the most unique 3.6s in the USA. I have the Certificate of Authenticity, both keys and manual. Inside is excellent and very little wear on seats, as you can see. Car still smells new. The car currently has a Alpine radio head unit, but I have the stock radio in a box. The car runs perfectly. A/C blows ice cold. It was serviced a few months ago and I drive it about 50-75 miles per month (lame, I know). All gauges work, brakes are excellent, clutch is great and tires have plenty of life in them. Polished wheels are beautiful...no rash, just some very light peeling around lugs due to age. Sheet metal on car is 100% original to car and is straight. All glass is original as well. All rubber on car is like new. Aftermarket exhaust, but is very mild. The remainder of the car is bone stock. I do have all Porsche tools, original spare tire and associated parts, etc. I can share video if you are a serious buyer and request one. Last thing - let me warn you...this car is FAST. Literally, it's the only vehicle I've ever owned that was this much fun (scary) to drive. Now for the fun stuff: NO TRADES, period. In order to please devoted American 911 enthusiasts who wanted an RS model, Porsche produced the RS America. The RS America was produced as a model year 1993 and 1994 car based on the USA Carrera 2. The cars were offered in standard colors red, black and white and optional colors midnight blue metallic and polar silver. The RS America is a lightened, limited edition, performance version of the venerable Porsche 911 Carrera made for the 1993 model year which according to Porsche both “commemorates the 20th Anniversary of”, and “captures the spirit of” the original 1973 Carrera RS! The RS America featured a distinctive "whale tail" spoiler, a partially stripped interior with flat door panels (from the European RS) and carpeting along with a luggage shelf replacing the rear seats. Cloth covered sports seats, 17 inch wheels and M030 Sports Suspension were fitted as standard. The logo "RS America" was written on the deck lid along with an "RS" logo in front of the rear wheels. Deleted to save weight were power steering, cruise control, powered side mirrors, air-conditioning, sunroof and radio, although the air-conditioning, sunroof and radio as well as a limited slip differential could be ordered as options.
