For Sale Zambezi Green 1975 Porsche 914 2.0 with appearance group package $31,000 3rd owner. Since purchasing my car in 2012 I have done the following: I have rebuilt the original 2.0 engine and bored it up to a 2.3 liter with bigger pistons, cam shaft and all and any parts needed for it. Updated to electronic ignition with exterior oil cooler and fan under rear trunk. The fly wheel, pressure plate and all parts for the clutch are new. The transmission has been rebuilt with synchronizers replaced, seals and shifting bushings are new. My Porsche currently has 82,890 original miles. I bought the car from another Porsche enthusiast who bought my car as a package deal with a 69 911s from a broker who bought it from the original owner. The 75 914 had been sitting in a storage shed for over 20 years, and its registration and license plate stickers last read from 1982. The car originally had 52,000 or so miles on it when I bought it and I had been convinced by a few mechanics that the engine needed to be rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt with European Motor Works, please feel free to speak to George the owner and he will fill you in about any details or questions regarding the engines performance and build specs. (310-644-8038) I fully re-painted the car to its original color L-64 Zambezi green with Martin at Beach Boys Racing in Venice Beach Ca. The engine compartment insulation pad/fire wall pad is new. This is a carbureted engine with new 44 Weber’s. She has all around air shocks (Konies) both front and rear original sway bars and new rear springs. New fuel pump, new starter, all new stainless steel fuel lines, break lines and new hoses. Everything was overhauled. I even had the windshield washer fluid updated to an electric version using the windshield wiper switch. All parts that were suggested were power coated, Ive done everything to the car that an enthusiast would want to have his/her 914 restored to. Most of all the mechanical work and my continued up-keep of the car is through Alex Wong at Precision Tech Motor Sports in Culver City (I highly recommend him for any 914 owner looking for a honest mechanic) 310-822-4566 I only have 2 aftermarket rubber seals on the car purchased from 914 rubber. (Main targa top seal and the trunk seal) The windshield wiper lever was replaced and the bulbs in the dash have been replaced too. I spent a lot of money updating the stereo system to integrate with the original factory installed radio so all is hidden. (Stereo upgrades done through Al-and Edd’s in Santa Monica) amp, crossovers, new speakers and passenger floor sub that is unique and hidden. So you can play the radio through the original radio with modern 4 way sound (not the original 2 way) and also have an auxiliary output cable to use and switch between radio or aux. The car has 5 professionally chromed 2.0 Fuchs and new tires. The car has been my daily driver for the past few years and very reliable and fun to drive. All electricals, everything works on the car with the recent exception of the seatbelt sensor light now working. The car comes with the original 1975 owner’s manual and dealer advertisement broacher’s for the car. (also I have binder of original early 70’s magazines) I backdated the rubber 1975 bumblers to early chrome bumpers w/o the bumperets. I have done so much with this car, re-upholstered the interior in full, added seat warmers, stainless steel heat exchangers, completely re-painted the car at Beach Boys Racing in Venice. (Original shop next door to where Otto’s used to be) I have many collector item parts that come with the car. Currently I have the original 914/6 leather steering wheel and also have a vintage leather Nadi racing wheel and hub that I had on her before. I’m into the car for well over $50k+ (stopped counting) I The dash top is flawless and original, all original window glass is in good condition except once minor freeway chip on the front windshield that had been applied glue some 3 years ago when occurred. There’s many items Ive paid for to have my 914 in her current condition that I have not listed. Ive had such a love hate relationship with her from the beginning as I have invested so much money into getting her to the current condition. Unfortunately due to regular use, there are some minor imperfections from my original overhaul. I do have 2 minor door dings on the passenger side door from other people opening their doors at parking lots and one minor one on the driver’s side door. The dash face vinyl has started to peel and simply needs to have some minor touch ups at a upholstery shop to glue it back in place. The other is the very small freeway stone chip on the windshield glass, and that currently the seatbelt light is not turning on. I am hoping for someone who is in interested in buying my car be in LA as I am unable to drive my 914. I am very happy to go with you to any mechanic to get a PPI inspection, or to have a reputable enthusiast from the 914 world forum arrive to my house and view my car on your behalf. I have had a love hate relationship with my car, from finding her in original condition, and not knowing the financial journey to come and the experiences with sorting for parts, and time and energy spent during lengthy periods of the engine rebuild, to the transmission, to the electricals and many other experiences along the way. A very well cared for 914, clean title in hand and registration is through to August 2017. I am in no rush to sell the car and or interested in low ball offers. If the add is still up the car is for sale, otherwise has sold or I decided to keep it. If interested contact Peter at 323-788-3856 With permission, I am also happy to pass along contact details for 914 reputable enthusiasts who know of my car and can vouch for her condition.

The nicest body and paint on a 914 I have ever seen. Super solid conversion, this car could drive anywhere on the track or the street. This is the best V-8 914 you will find under 50k. I have driven this car as a daily driver for a year, it has no issues and is very fun to drive! Don’t be fooled, these V8 cars are extremely easy to work on and parts are readily available for anything on the car. Hello to all Ebayers! I have been with EBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation with EBay at 100%. I bought this vehicle with the intention of adding to my collection because I'm into classic cars, I'm trying to sell a few of my cars because I sold my building and don’t want to leave them outside. This Porche 914 is located in a Copart facility in Marlboro, NY. I tried to sell it on Copart but this vehicle is a classic clean vehicle and they have a salvage yard so it's not the best place to sell this vehicle there. You can purchase the vehicle through Ebay or you can purchase it through Copart by becoming a member. This car has a Tennessee Title. If you need me to get a CA title for this car there is a small fee included in the process. PRICED TO SELL !!!Here is the description I have from the previous owner: 1975 PORSCHE 914 ? Mechanicals 2.0 Engine With only 112K miles901 side shift transmissionFactory sway bars front and rearFuel injector was pulled to make way for carb conversion Will need tune up, was sitting in the garage past 2 years ? Bid with confidence and if you have any questions that I might not have covered in the description, don't hesitate to ask. You can email me or send me your telephone number and I will give you a call. Shipping I can help you arrange shipping. This vehicle is advertised on other sites so I have the right to end the auction early if it gets sold. I'm not a dealer, just a very passionate collector of classic cars and trucks. For Sale Zambezi Green 1975 Porsche 914 2.0 with appearance group package $35,000 3rd owner and I have the contact details of the prior owners if requested I have rebuilt the original 2.0 engine and bored it up to a 2.3 liter with bigger pistons, cam shaft and all and any parts needed for it. Updated to electronic ignition with exterior oil cooler and fan under rear trunk. The fly wheel, pressure plate and all parts for the clutch are new. The transmission has been rebuilt with synchronizers replaced, seals and shifting bushings are new. My Porsche currently has 82,290 original miles. (Main targa top seal and the trunk seal) Door locks lubed and repaired and work perfectly. The windshield wiper lever was replaced and the bulbs in the dash have been replaced too. (also I have binder of original early 70’s magazines) I’m into the car for well over $50k+ (stopped counting) I had my rotator cuff on my right shoulder repaired 4 weeks ago and I cant drive my car and so she’s sitting under a waterproof car cover in my driveway. The dash top is flawless and original, all original window glass is in good condition except once minor freeway chip on the front windshield that had been applied glue some 3 years ago when occurred. I backdated the rubber 1975 bumblers to early chrome bumpers w/o the bumperets. There’s many items Ive paid for to have my 914 in her current condition that I have not listed. Ive had such a love hate relationship with her from the beginning as I have invested so much money into getting her to the current condition. Believe it or not the car has no rust (besides some very minor surface rust in some areas as I live close to the beach and she’s very straight) Unfortunately due to regular use, there are some minor imperfections from my original overhaul.

I am selling my 914/6 with a heavy heart. It has been 4+ years since I bought it in Oregon where it had spent its entire life. I am not sure what it was prior to about 1980 but after the early years it was a race car and kept in a garage for at least its last 30+ years. I bought it and converted it to street use where it has been for 4+ years. It is a numbers matching car, engine number matches COA from Porsche. It has been used occasionally over the last 4+ years but I have since bought another car and something has to go - my wife says so! Not a full restoration but a complete refreshing of the interior, engine, transmission, exhaust, brakes undercarriage, front and rear trunks. I realize that is hard to believe it is rust free but the car is an Oregon car whose last home was in the collection of Monte Shelton of Portland, OR. Car was set up and maintained by Rothsport racing in Oregon and hell hole was repaired in the early 2000s. I spoke with Jeff Gamroth (of Rothsport) at the last Rennsport Reunion and although he wasn’t sure, he thought he might have owned the car at one point. Body - Car is painted signal orange as per the COA. It has been repainted and is really nice at 3 feet but up close one sees some cracking on the right front and the left rear fender. Great driver condition but needs repaint for perfection. A new windshield was installed and rear window was removed and resealed. Targa vinyl was removed and replaced with vinyl from 914Rubber. The underside of car had been covered with a black undercoating which I removed by hand using Eastwood’s “Undergone” product and Xylene which worked quite well. I left the factory undercoating on the car so as to not appear to hide its condition. I have applied new undercoating to a few spots where the original had been scraped off. Front trunk – When I bought the car it had a front oil cooler which I removed and had the pan replaced with a Restoration Design replacement piece. The portion of front panel used for oil cooler air inlet was replaced with a portion of an original panel purchased on 914World. All metal work was done by Ron’s Rods in Kingsville, MD. Everything in the front trunk was removed including the gas tank, trunk lid, air box and all air flow pieces. All air flow hoses were replaced with new ones, everything was cleaned and refurbished. The gas tank was cleaned and refurbished with Eastwood’s gas tank products and new pipe exit parts including stainless steel fuel lines from Tangerine Racing were installed. All wiring was cleaned and/or replaced. The original orange paint in both trunks had been sprayed over with an undercoating/black paint-like material which I was able to remove with lots of elbow grease and Xylene. As there was no rust, the paint was sanded, primed and then seam sealed. Rear trunk – The same black undercoating material and the old paint was removed with paint remover, checked for rust, new seam sealer as appropriate was applied and then repainted. European taillights added as were all the other removable items (tower covers, light and targa roof holders. Interior – The entire interior was removed, an Engmann chassis stiffening kit for longs and across firewall was installed, and the original floor sound deadening material was removed to check for rust of which there was none. Floor was primed and painted and Eastwood’s equivalent of Dynamat was put on the floor, longs, and interior side of firewall. The car has the original black interior seats, back panel, door panel, knee bar, seat belts and dash. The entire interior seats and backing material was replaced with a used set bought at Hershey. Dash has 2 minor cracks that have been repaired and the entire dash was redyed. All instruments have been refurbished by North Hollywood Speedometers, Inc. Carpet replaced with 914Rubber carpeting. Car has a Momo Corsa steering wheel but an excellent leather wrapped 914/6 wheel is included. The correct Blauplunkt blue dot radio fills out the dash. Dash vinyl replaced with new 914Rubber vinyl. Engine – Original numbers matching case. Engine was built by Rothsport Racing in OR in mid 2000s and maintained there as well. Time-certs, oil squirters, oil bypass mods were done at that time. Engine was refreshed with new biral cylinders, JE Pistons, ’74 heads refurbished by Anchor Atlantic, case sent to Ollie’s in AZ for align boring, case halves surfacing, strengthening case at #3, cleaning and check out. When Rothsport built the engine they chose Solex cams to provide performance as well as exceptional drive ability. Weber carbs were rebuilt, new clutch/pressure plate, all new bearings and bolts and sealed with sealants provided by Henry Schmidt. John Behe at At Speed Motorsports, Hanover, MD dyno tuned engine yielding 130+ wheel hp at 6000 rpm or approximately 170 crank hp. Currently fitted with carb hats but original air cleaner is included. A new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator has been installed. Ignition is MSD and Pertronic. Currently a green 911E fan housing cover is in place but the original black one is included in the sale. Transmission- Transmission was converted to side shifter and was rebuilt at a Dr. Evil clinic in VA. The airport gear set’s 4th and 5th gears were replaced with stock gears to make the car friendlier for around town and long drives. Transmission has a Porsche 930 LSD which Rothsport Racing added when they built the transmission. It was in good condition so I did not do anything else to it. It shifts great. The transmission shifts much smoother than my 915 transmission in my backdated RSR. Wheels – currently mounted with 15x7 Fuchs and new 195/65 Continental tires. Fuchs have been refinished with an RSR frosted finish. A set of 14” Fuchs with tires is also included. Three of the 4 have the correct date codes. Exhaust – Car has an original set of heat exchangers. There are a few holes in the heat exchanger but otherwise in good shape and perfectly functional. No holes in the exhaust pipes. Muffler is a new Dansk 2 in 2. Very impressive sound! Rubber and Vinyl – All vinyl and much of the rubber has been replaced with material from 914Rubber. Suspension/Brakes – Shocks are Bilstein front and rear with the rears being adjustable. New 140 lb. rear springs have been installed. Front has an adjustable sway bar. Front brakes are ‘80s Carrera and rears are stock 914/6 rebuilt by PMB. New hoses and new emergency brake cables were installed. The original air cleaner, padded steering wheel and the black fiberglass engine cover are included. The car is a kick to drive around and it has plenty of power when wanted. I hate to give it up but something has to go. Good luck with the raffle.
