This car is being sold as a running and driving project. PROJECT, PROJECT, PROJECT I have a 1973 Firebird Espirit for sale. I found this car a couple of months ago and it was going to be this winters project. Life happens and I kinda have a lot going on and limited space, so Im going to list it for sale. Ill try and give as accurate description as I can. I try to be as honest and strait forward as possible but I do forget some stuff so bare with me. The previous owner owned this car since 1988. He bought it basically set up as it is. He doesn't have a lot of knowledge on these so all he could tell me was what the previous owner told him. Engine: Non original 1974 455 with 1967 670 heads (high compression). Previous owner was told it has Ram Air 3 cam and associated parts. It does run and doesn't run hot. Does seem as if it needs valve seals or rings or both. Has a ton of power, Has to run on race fuel. It has a lot of crank case pressure and blows some smoke on heavy throttle. Trans: TH350 shifts fine may have a mild shift kit. Leaks from gear shift selector seal. Has new pan and filter. Rear End: It has a 4.10 posi, not sure if its original Interior: Needs front seat covers and carpet. Rear seats, dash, door panels, and console are in good usable condition. Would need gone thru but for the most part all there. seat belts are all present and working. Column needs rebuilt as the tilt is wobbly. Exterior: Its a solid car. Was repainted the original white in the 80's and is still presentable (driver quality). Looks to be all original panels except hood (Formula) and Trans Am spoilers. Its a solid complete car, quarter panels, rear pan, doors, rocker panels, floors, frame rails, and sub frame are all original and solid. Has previous bodywork on lower drivers fender (pictured) and one small hole in the trunk (pictured). The Firebird is an original white with black interior car... All the lights and turn signals work, needs a wiper motor. Horn not working Gas gauge not working Blower motor works but heater core is bypassed I try to be as honest as I can with these cars. When I bought it, it hadn't been run in about 20 years, so I went thru it. I drained the gas tank, and put fresh fuel in it (93 octane with lead additive and octane booster) Fresh oil and filter Intake manifold gasket and thermostat Valley pan gasket New Hooker Ceramic coated headers and Summit Racing F body exhaust kit Trans pan, filter, gasket, lines and fluid. New motor mounts. Rear brake lines As of now it will run and drive. But I am selling it as a project. Its a perfect candidate for a Trans Am tribute or a Pro touring F Body. It is getting harder and harder to find early second gens with solid bodies so hears your chance to own one. Title is free and clear and in my name. Mileage on title is 88,255. (Does not have a mileage brand.) Odometer reads 16,750 or so. If you have any questions please ask. I try to be as honest as I can when selling these old cars but you can never get everything right so Please ask is there is something I missed. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, I will help as much as I can but is the buyers responsibility to set it up. I've sold a few cars on here and I try to be as honest as I can so please serious buyers only

Thank you for viewing this 1971 Pontiac Firebird Esprit in laurentian green. This a 1-owner '71 Firebird Esprit and may be the lowest mileage and most original in existence. With just 18,845 verified miles from new (I have a signed odometer disclosure statement from the original owner), driving it is as close to being transported back to a 1971 as I can imagine. I have a congratulatory letter from a sales manager at Pontiac to the original owner dated June 18, 1971, the original car loan documents, Pontiac Protect-O-Plate, the original window sticker and owner's manual. I also have the PHS documentation. Almost nothing has been changed on this car since it purchased more than forty years ago. It will give you chills, trust me. And if items have been replaced, the originals have been kept. For instance, I know that the rear shocks, the water pump and the wheels/tires have been replaced over the years, but I still have the original equipment! Even the paint appears to be original. Now,of course, because it has not been restored it is not perfect, but it is an incredible example of an unrestored, very original time capsule Firebird, perhaps the lowest mileage '71 Esprit in existence. You'll notice that the red factory primer on the undercarriage is in just about perfect condition! If you own a lower mileage one or know someone that does, I'd love to hear from you. This very special Firebird comes equipped with a 350 V-8 and automatic transmission, AM radio, clock and optional hood lock. This car functions so much like new the clock still works perfectly! Please contact me with any questions you have and feel free to come out and view this car in person. I've included several photos with the new wheels and tires that I took today on the spur of the moment at work (August 28th) and if you just click the link below you can look at a bunch more with the original wheel and tires still on the car that I took on a beautiful day a couple of years ago. Take a look at how the blue sky and the clouds reflect off the hood!! And I like all classics so if you feel like trading, maybe that would work too. I have owned the car for over fifteen years and either completed or hired the restoration from start to finish. The engine is a strong running 400 with a mild build. Heads are from SD Performance, mild cam, roller rockers and Keith Black pistons. I have the balance sheet and receipts. I put an MSD electronic ignition and stainless steel headers. The front end is completely rebuilt. The transmission is a 2004R with a good shift kit in it. Great gas mileage on the highway with the overdrive, but the ability to get good acceleration around town. I had the car taken down to bare metal to be repainted. All new interior with white and red vinyl, new carpet, new chrome trim, new vinyl top.

BOMBSHELTER CUSTOMS BRINGS YOU A 1973 Pontiac Firebird Esprit This car was found in a yard with a few other Camaros and Firebirds, we usually part out the cars and build 1950s Hot Rods out of them but this car was very complete and in good solid shape and is the more desired of the second generation of Firebirds, the last year with the metal bumper. So the story on this car is the owner of the yard bought it with no title and had it parked in the yard since 1991 he said the car was a runner and he took the front end off to do work on it and never finished it so the car sat with no hood or fenders. Over time the car got some water in the engine and the pistons are now frozen. The interior seems to have been redone at some point and the car repainted. I've checked Pontiac websites and found the car to be originally a Ascot Silver with a factory Pontiac 350 with a two barrel carburetor. I've managed to find the number on the front side of the engine located next to the timing chain cover which matches the production sequence of the Vin. As for the transmission I have no idea where to locate the vin number on it so I've not been able to confirm it. If anyone knows where I can find this number please let me know thanks PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING THANKSPlease feel free to call If you have any questions feel free to call me at (505) 738-9043 RESERVE PRICE will not be reviled unless I re-list the auction at a buy it now setting so please don't ask. Also if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks I require you to contact me before placing your bid or I will cancel your bid if you don't contact me. It cost money to re-list an item so please don't waste my time and don't forget about shipping cost before bidding thanks RUST-The rust is minimal on this car and is starting to get rust in the usual spots such as the rear quarter panels and in the trunk floor the rest is very solid see pictures below INTERIOR-The interior was half way stripped out and I managed to get most of it back together. The dash has major cracks in it and will need replacing center console needs work or replacement and the door on the console is also broken as usual. This interior is fairly clean but not perfect there are many things that need work or other small items missing I will try to find the parts it is missing. The guy I bought it from still has boxes of parts I gotta dig through. ca BODY- Here are the outside pictures, the body is fairly straight has scratches dings and one major dent on the rear side of the passenger rocker panel just in front of the rear wheel. This was a project car of mine that I was inches away from completion when my company went under, which forced me into a personal bankruptcy because of how the corporation was structured. I had a 1980 Formula Firebird in high school and always had regretted selling it when I left for the military. That prompted me last year to start building the ultimate Firebird with the same year body style. Now I have to sell it, but one day I will get to do it again with a clean slate. Just need to find the right home for it now. So about the car... The body is a 2nd generation F-body (1970 to 1981) and the condition of it is near perfect. There are no visible dents or bending in the body panels. The undercarriage is completely rust-free and the frame is in great shape as well. The wheels are original 17" x 9" snowflake style with gold painted recesses which are worth $900 alone. All models this year came equipped with air-inflatable rear suspension, which with the schrader valve underneath the trunk, can raise the the tail end up considerably which adjusts the comfort of the ride to your liking. The interior is original with power windows, red cloth seats, black carpet and headliner, red vinyl door panels, and red console, red steering wheel and red dash. The trunk still has the protective carpet lining as well. The engine is a rebuilt to performance spec 1976 Pontiac 400 cu. big-block V-8, which I painted metallic rust color. I bought a "Dude-Scoop" from Rick's Auto online to eliminate the true shaker head which hid the whole engine. The Dude-Scoop is a scoop that sits high enough to house a chrome engine filter while instead of attaching to the carburetor like the original shaker, mounts to the underside of the hood. The engine features flat head pistons, a Ram IV performance cam, Edelbrock chrome valve covers, Edelbrock manifold, Edelbrock 650 carburetor that is jetted down 2 for altitude, Flowtech ceramic headers, and a custom dual exhaust made by BDM Exhaust here in Denver, Colorado. Unfortunately I had to incorporate catalytic converters in order to pass emissions (which I never had a chance to attempt anyway). Obviously the cats are easily cut out after inspection anyway. They don't really make much of an impact anyway because I am getting close to 450 HORSEPOWER!!!!! So the things that I haven't finished yet... The urethane body parts such as the front and rear bumpers could use a paint coat with the proper type. Whomever repainted this car didn't use the flexible type, so it has cracking and chipping. The car hood and trunk spoiler could use repainting. There are a few areas with chipping. Again, nothing major. The scoop hasn't been sanded, primed or painted yet.Chrome trim work needs to be fastened better with new clips. The interior vinyl door panels should be replaced with the handles too. Dashboard is cracked. These items you can see in the pictures.Regarding the interior, if I had the funds I would recover the seats with vinyl. This isn't necessary, though. They aren't torn, I just prefer new clean "pleather" look. The emergency brake cable needs to be replaced. It doesn't work currently. The gauges need to be checked and replaced if necessary. The only one that I know of needing replacement is the tachometer. Air conditioning isn't present in this car. It has the connections ready to go, just no compressor kit and radiator. The power window motors probably need replacement. They open and close at a snail's pace. Really, the only two repair items that present a cost impact are the painting and the AC installation (which is an option, not a requirement). This car is my baby. I hate to see it go, but now it is time to man up and save my family, even if it means taking a hit on my investment. Best of luck bidding! -N
