This car has a newly re-built Pontiac 455 engine, new transmission, pretty much new everything. 455 block bored .030 over with all new, quality forged engine internals. Edelbrock aluminum performance heads and intake manifold. New MSD Super HEI digital 6AL ignition kit with Blaster SS coil. Converted to MSD Atomic EFI, TBI fuel injection. Comp cam. Complete new exhaust system with Hedman headers and a Flowmaster factory style exhaust with ceramic coated 2.5" pipes, 50 series Delta Flow mufflers and stainless tips with the factory style angled cut. New Monster Turbo 350 TH350 heavy duty high performance race trans built for 600hp. 1750 stall torque converter. Ford 9 inch posi rear. Hotchkis suspension and Wilwood brakes. Rear tires are new Nitto 275, the 255 tires up front are in great shape with low mileage. New front and rear shocks. New coil springs up front, new 4 leaf leaf springs in the rear. The interior is in very good condition and very clean. No tears or rips in seats, no cracks on the dash. The paint is also in very good condition. The car had a fresh coat of paint at some point in the original Admiralty Blue. It has a nice Alpine stereo and power amp with Ipod , MP3 hook up. A new MSD tach adaptor module was just installed to get the factory tach working. The temporary tach on the steering column (see photo) is no longer there. The window tint job is very dark and a section has peeled off on the driver's window. The previous owner installed after market seat belts which I have since removed and installed lap belts. This is because the ones he installed did not fit/mount properly on the floor and rubbed on the seats and scraped them every time you slide them up or back. I bought a set of retractable belts and returned them because they did not fit right either. So I went with plain lap belts. I have all receipts and documentation.

Up for grabs is my beautiful 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. New paint x5yrs in original Stardust silver (GM paint code WA7448). All original, unmolested, numbers matching car with non-turbo 301 V8 and 3 speed auto trans. All seats redone in silver vinyl. All lights work as they should. Car has 4 wheel disk brakes and it just had a complete 4 corner brake job, to include 4 NEW calipers, rotors, pads and lines- car stops on a dime. Power steering, power brakes. The prior owner said the miles are true miles but I can't confirm that. I can attest to the fact that the car starts, idles, runs and stops like a low mileage car. Never gets hot, oil pressure always good. Tires at 90% tread. No chips or cracks in glass. Rust free body, inside trunk perfect, inside engine compartment super clean- this really is a nice car. Needs exhaust work and adjustments made to the inside of both doors. They need someone who has the time to adjust the window tracks, door handles and locks- the windows go down perfectly but not always up perfectly, you have to pull a little hard on the door handles sometimes and the lock cylinders are tight. New trunk lock cylinder installed, new ignition cylinder installed and both have new keys. Car comes with new door lock cylinders/keys. AC is disconnected but all parts are included with car. New air filter. New radiator hose. Brand new battery. Fresh tune and oil 6 mos ago. Super reliable, cruises at highway speeds easily all day long. This car is a solid 1969 Firebird with all original Sheetmetal, not reproduction or even NOS parts! No guessing if the previous repairs were done properly on this one. Excellent base for a full custom build or mild restoration. I have never seen another F-body with this clean of a floor pan!Engine is a Pontiac 350 with a 2bbl carb. Tarnsmission is a Muncie M-21 4 speed with a Hurst shifter that is not original to the car. Original tramission was a 3 speed Borg Warner which will be included in the sale. Console car and Factory AC as well. No idea on the condition of the AC parts, but the AC Compressor does spin over. Engine is free and spins over. Ran when parked 20 years ago.The car was painted in the early 1990s with Dupont enamel and has been sitting since. 10 years outside on pavement and 10 years indoors. There is overspray on the car and the paint is in poor condition so it will need a repaint. Weatherstripping and rubber bits are showing their age and need to be replaced. Many spare and extra parts included. The car has a Salvage title as it was purchased from an impound yard after being abandoned, that is the only reason. It is straight underneath, absolutely no evidence of any collision damage ever. Minor rust on the left rear quarter lower section, left front fender by the a-pillar, and the right inner fender under the battery tray. Photos detail the worst of the rust.

This is my 1997 Firebird Formula I am listing for sale. This is a vehicle that I purchased with the intention of fixing up for myself. Time and money constraints from finishing up what would be a dream car for me. Let is be yours. With some work this car will be great! The car itself is the Formula with the high performance package though not a WS6 though it does have a factory functional RAM air hood with the K&N option air cleaner unit which bumps up the power quite a bit on this model The RPO code for this vehicle is WS9. So the RAM AIR is factory. I had a set of SLP shorty headers installed on the engine along with a complete Magnaflow 3 inch cat back exhaust back to the Muffler which is a Flowmaster also new high flow catalytic converters which breathes good and sounds mean and boosts the power even more. I believe it has the upgraded suspension with the thicker sway bars. It has Hotchkis rear trailing arms. It also has the high performance option rear 3.42 gears. When I got the car it had the factory optional Bilstein Shocks and lowering springs, I replaced all with a used set all around the normal GM ones. The springs and shocks were shot and I did not have the cash to replace them with same. It also has a Hotchkis Strut tower bar. With all these things stated this car is BAD ASS FAST, not really something you would want to give your teenager unless you have money for tickets. It cruises down the highway at 90 MPH in 4th gear with 2 more gears to go, yes it is a Borg/Warner Tremec 6 speed Transmission. When new this car was capable of 0-60 in like 5.4 seconds which is quite fast with some work can be returned to it's glory. I have replaced many parts various sensors, ECU, Power steering, pump upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, power window motors the entire exhaust from the motor to the tail pipes. Optispark ignition rotor and cap, spark plugs and wires, EAR, Mass Airflow sensor. I am probably forgetting something. I have a brand new flywheel and high performance clutch kit to install which will go with the car. Also the car has small oil leak which I have the Victor Reinz oil pan gasket to make the repair. It also recently in in need of the clutch hydraulic system to be flushed and bled. The fluid has gone bad from sitting. This car should be towed and thoroughly gone through before driving. The car has a Kenwood stereo system Kenwood Audio Keg Hard drives 20GB with JBL and Eclipse component audio system with 2 Audiobahn Amps what I believe I was told was 2000 WATTS and 1200 WATTS and DynoMat sound deadening everywhere. This is the loudest car stereo I have ever owned. I believe that is an SLP sub woofer box with 15 inch Eclipse Sub woofers . This stereo system is extremely loud, you can have a block party with this system or go deaf, no joking! The body well there is no collision damage of which I know. The much of the body panels are fiberglass this year so it does not rust though several spots of the body that are metal have only surface rust nothing serious. The entire clear coat is gone on the front end of the car. The car needs a complete paint job. there are a couple of minor scratches in one t-top. The tops do not leak. The car sits on the Factory 16inch 5 star wheels with Eagle GT II tires. I also have a set of WS6 Speedline wheels with good tires 17 inch from a 2002 Trans I am including with this saleg. These wheels and tires are easy worth a $1000. The interior could uses a really good cleaning the clip that holds the power button panel in the doors broken (I have seen on eBay for $25) the headliner is worn and loose around the edges. The sun visors need replaced though they wont hang in your way. No tears in the seats. They dash is cracked in a couple of places common with these The car is definitely worth finishing. Clean title in hand. I hate to let it go. Ask questions if you have them... But not the stupid ones like: Will you sell the rims? NO Will you sell the RAM AIR Hood and Air box? I just acquired this car a gentlemen who had this as a project car and lost interest. This car is very rare as built with this powertrain. I have a folder with over $9000 in receipts for just parts and labor already put into it not including the car itself. This car is exceptional complete. I will try to cover any components that I know to be missing. That being said as a project car there are parts that will be needed to complete the build that I may be missing. Please look at all of the pictures as like said the car is very complete. While some parts may not be easily seen they are probably there. If you have questions please ask. For example the valance lights and all of the firebird emblems are in the box on the left side of the trunk picture and the second piece of the grille is also in the trunk. What has been done to the car to this point:The entire engine and transmission are professionally rebuilt and immaculate. They have been stored on a cart since that rebuild. New floor boards welded in the passenger compartment, previous owner was a welder so the work is qualityNew cowl panel welded inSub frame cleaned and coated with POR15A-Arms cleaned and coated with POR15, rebuilt with new ball joints and bushingsTransmission cross member cleaned and coated with POR15Sway bar cleaned and coated with POR15Drive shaft cleaned and coated with POR15, balanced and new U-joints installedNew heater core installedNew master cylinder installedThere has been a significant amount of body work completed, although some needs to be reworked. For example while it is in primer there are areas where the fill from fitting new quarters should be removed and reapplied from sitting so long the minor rust can be seen in the welded joint that is exposed. Things that can't be seen in the photos:The lower bracing under the floor boards needs to be cleaned and POR15ed. This common on a convertible as you can only replace the floor boards by leaving this structure in place since there is no roof to hold the unibody in place. So while not yet completed this shows the work was done correctly.The lower A pillers below the bottom door hinge need replaced, patches not included but common to the Camaro and availableThe trunk floor needs replaced, but all new panels for this including lower braces are included a shown in picturesThe rear leaf springs and hangers should be replaced The rear axle is intact and has not be touched so it needs to be cleaned and POR15ed, possibly rebuiltFor the front fender that shows filler, there is a patch panel to remove that filler damaged area. Pontiac : Firebird Two door 305 v 8 engine

I bought the Firebird in 1985 new from a Pontiac dealer. I should have sold it a long time ago but I kept repairing it for a total repair cost of 24.000. The trunk contains a new Tiger Paw full size spare tire. The car still runs good and should considering I have done many repairs recently on the car, which are the following:6/7/11 Replaced strut assembly, and windshield washer pump.6/6/12 Replaced entire exhaust system pipes, muffler, and front tire.12/17/12 Replaced starter assembly, and battery2/5/13 Engine tune up, replaced spark plugs, air cleaner, distributor cap, fuel filter, air filter adjusted ignition timing, and idle speed.6/18/13 Replaced shocks.12/11/13 Replaced rear brake wheel cylinders.3/5/14 Replaced water pump.At what point do you stop repairing a car and sell it or trade it in for a new one? Since I'm now retired and only receive a small monthly income from Social Security, I can't afford to maintain the car anymore. I have the option of replacing the two front tires at a cost of 170 dollars. Then I could keep driving the car until the inspection stickers expire on 12-31-15. I had the car inspected using a 30 point courtesy check on 6-15-15. I was told that the brakes were still good but the car had other problems that needed repair such as the center link and the rear sway bar links had play in them. The other problems mentioned were the idler arm and front-end alignment; the front tires had uneven wear, the right head light won't go up, and a broken driver's side outside door handle. I was told it would cost around 600 dollars to repair those items in order for the Firebird to pass the PA inspection. I noticed recently that the "check engine light" comes on after driving the car for two miles and stays on until you turn the engine off. The car still runs fine and I don't know what the light means. It probably has something to do with the emission control system equipment such as the oxygen sensor. I was told it would cost 125 dollars to check the computer code for the reason why the light is coming on. I would say it would be in the low retail value "as is" category but what would be a fair price for the Firebird? Since it needs repairs to fit into the low retail value it's a matter of how much it would cost to make the repairs. If I deduct 10 percent for the air conditioning that doesn't work that drops the price down to 1,952. If I deduct only what is needed to pass the PA safety inspection. I already have been told that price is around 600 dollars and I know it would cost 170 dollars to replace the two front tires. If I deduct that cost from 1,952, the price drops to 1,182. If deduct the cost to check the computer code for the "check engine light," that drops the price down to 1,057. I'll make the price an even 1,100 dollars but will consider an offer lower than that price.
