The 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 Ram Air is recognized as the most aerodynamic muscle car ever produced. Performance was underrated by GM marketing in fear of affecting the reputation of the Corvette- in spite of the fact that the all-aluminum 5.7L LSI V8 engine was shared with the Corvette. (This one-of-a-kind show car has a powered canvas soft top, a custom composite speedster tonneau cover, an enhanced transmission, suspension, and steering, the signature ram air induction, high-flow intake manifold and exhaust, ground effects fascia, two-tone leather interior. The trans Am was discontinued in 2002- however, the "Trans Am" nameplate continued to be used in the IROC(International Race of Champions) racing Series until the series closed in 2006.
