Up for auction is my 1970 MGB Convertible. This is the desirable chrome bumper version with split rear bumper. This is a Midwest car showing 66,383 miles. The engine is a 1973/74 with code 18V672Z-L18200. The engine starts right up with the manual choke and runs strong, no smoke, no overheating, good oil pressure. It does leak a little oil, as many MG’s, but it’s a minor leak and has not been an issue. The twin SU carburetors were rebuilt last year. I have taken the car on several trips, the longest 450 miles and it didn’t skip a beat. I would do more without hesitation. I have added a new gas tank, new fuel pump, NEW brake master cylinder, NEW calipers (not rebuilt), new front pads, new flexible brake lines, new rear wheel cylinders, shoes and drums. I have also installed a NEW clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. The 4 speed transmission shifts very nice and does NOT pop out of gear. The tires are in great shape, with a bit over 3000 miles on them. The spare tire is new and never been on the ground. The exhaust is OK, has a small crack where the converter used to be, it could be welded. The engine compartment is very clean and looks very nice. The interior: the seats are in good shape, no tears or bad seams. I use a top boot that is in very nice condition. I have a tonneau, like new that has hardly been used. The convertible top is in fair to good condition. I never use it so it’s never been an issue. The plastic window isn’t cracked but a bit foggy. There is a small hole, about the diameter of a pencil that was caused by the frame pinching the material. It could easily be patched. The top windshield gasket/seal needs to be replaced. The carpet is in great condition and I’ve added new rubber MG floor mats. It appears that the original AM/FM radio is installed. It was disconnected and I haven’t tried to hook it up. The speedometer, Tachometer, Oil Pressure, Fuel Gauge, Horn, Turn Signals, Light Switch, Wipers, Heater Fan Switch all work. I installed a new Heater water valve as well. The seat belts are original 1970 belts, not perfect but I prefer them over aftermarket belts. I have a car cover that comes with the car. The previous owner did the body work and paint. The driver and passenger floor, quarters and rockers were replaced. It's not a show car as there are minor nicks and imperfections. I've included a picture of the quarter panel seam, driver side, that is visible. However, you can see from the pictures the car still looks nice and I feel the price reflects the condition. I still get thumbs up when I'm on the road. I enjoy the car for what it is and that is a fun, nice looking, good driving car that is very dependable. I had purchased a 1970 MGB identical to this car – new – in 1970. This car brings back many fine memories but the fact of the matter is that I don’t get in and out of the car as well as I did 45 years ago. I have two other projects that I need to work on and I don’t have room, time or energy for all three. The car is located in South West Michigan, Zip Code 49099 and is available for local pickup or could be shipped via the U-Ship companies listed on E-bay. Up for auction is a my very, very nice 1969 MGB with its original engine ( this is a numbers matching car ). It is a 4 speed with a non-overdrive transmission. I purchased the car to use as my weekend lake car but due to unforeseen boat repairs I must pass this little girl on to the next person. I have spent well over $3000 on the car recently so please take time to read the auction in full as there are very few if any 1969 MGB's out there in this condition. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanicals: The car runs great. The car was recently serviced which included: new points, new plugs, new ignition wires, new distributor cap, new rotor button, oil change, new oil filter, new air filters, coolant fluid changed, all fluids topped off, both carburetors ( front and rear ) rebuilt, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new fuel sending unit, new speedometer cable, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder fluid hose and some other things I just can't think of right now . The car sounds great and it should given I just had the exhaust header replaced and the entire exhaust system from the header to the tail pipe replaced. Also, last week the car had 4 new high quality radial tires installed. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke. The brakes and clutch peddles are strong and firm. The engine is "drum tight " with no signs of any fluid drips anywhere under the car at this time. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises what so ever from the transmission or the rear end. Electrical's: This area is in unbelievable condition with no signs of the dreaded Lucas electrical Gremlin on this car. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, horn works, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, all dash indicator / warning lights work, courtesy light works, blower fan works and the radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand. Interior: Is in very, very nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Note: About 12 to 14 months ago nearly everything on the interior was replaced. Exterior: The car looks great but still driver quality and should not be considered a "show" car. The car sits nicely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB "Leaning" issues. Look at how well the body, hood, trunk and doors fit. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk, wheel arches, dog legs and doors are laser straight. All glass is original Triplex glass in very nice condition. Also, less than a year ago the front bumper, front grill and rear bumper where replaced ( they look fabulous!! ). Underbody: The frame and inner sills / rocker panels looks very good but at some point the floors where replaced ( common on these cars and just about any car that's 42 years old ). While I'm not and expert in my opinion the floor repairs where done to a very good standard. Note: I don't have any photos of the underbody at this time but I'll see about getting some and posting then to the auction Soft Top: The soft top is brand new and was professionally fitted and installed last month. Tops / Covers: The car does come with the high end and highly sought after top cover, Tonneau cover ( covers the full cockpit ) and a car cover as well. Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car has a spare tire and wire wheel. As you can see the trunk has a new carpet kit installed and does come with a "MG" logo spare tire cover. Shipping: If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time.

Up for auction is a stunning 1980 MGB ( non-overdrive ) with only 91,752 miles on the odometer. The car has been exceptionally well maintained and is sure to impress when seen in person. Many dollars have been spent on her in the past year so please take your time and read the auction in its entirety. Mechanicals: The car runs and drives great and has absolutely no issues what so ever. I would no hesitate to drive the car any distance. The engine is "drum tight " with no signs of any fluid drips anywhere under the car. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises. The rear end is strong and makes no noises. In the past year the car had the following work completed: New carburetor, new coil, new clutch master cylinder, new brake master cylinder, new exhaust manifold and a new high end exhaust system ( front to back ) was installed. The new exhaust manifold and exhaust system allows the new carburetor to perform to its true potential. The engine bay also sports new duel hood gas struts, new hood insulation kit and a plug in battery tender to ensure the battery is also charged when stored for long periods. Electrical's: This area is in great condition with the following items in proper working order : headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, interior courtesy light works, dash gauge lights work, instrument panel warning lights work, seat belt warning buzzer works, ignition key left in alarm works hazard switch works, blower fan works and the radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand and are in proper working order. Note: the original clock is present but does not keep good time. Interior: Is very nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. However, I will add that the car had a new complete carpet kit installed, new sun visors, new sun visor retaining clips and a new high dollar padded roll bar was installed this year. The car also sports a very nice high end stereo system. Exterior: The paint looks unbelievable being that is original ( shines very nice ) and I find no dings or dents any where on the car ( a true sign of how well this car has been taken car of ). All factory original decals are in great condition. The bumpers are in perfect condition ( see photos ). Look at how perfectly the body, hood, trunk and doors fit! The car sits perfectly on the ground with no leaning, sagging or squatting issues. The car sports new classic style 8 spoke alloy wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich radial tires. Soft Top: While not new it does look and fit like new. Underbody: This area looks unbelievably original and in very, very good condition and I find no evidence of rust, rust repairs, accident damage or repairs anywhere on the car. Trunk: The truck is rock solid and has all the goodies that most cars don't. The truck has the original jack, lug nut tool, original jack stowage bag, original top cover support rails and original stowage bag.
