You are looking at a beautiful 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300 CD, two door diesel coup. The engine was recently replaced and the car runs great. There is no title, but will be sold with a notarized bill of sale. Because of damage to front fender, the insurance decided to total car, and car was bought by collector, and as previously mentioned, the engine has been replaced. The car is now available for sale. If you are a title state, and can transfer a bill of sale legally, then you can apply for a title. Meanwhile, I am thinking about applying for a title if the car does not sell within 30 days. If you have ever wanted a two door Mercedes-Benz diesel, and did not have lots of money, then this car is for you.

This is the last year this elegant model was made. Grey leather seats in good condition with a little wear on the driver side. Sits four comfortably. All the power equipment working (windows, sunroof, antennae, cruise control, radio) Drives beautifully and very solid. This is from an estate where the owner purchased it in 1988 and kept it in the garage in the SW so no rust. It is in original condition. The owner kept up the maintenance of the car when it was needed and regular oil changes. It just got a new battery, air conditioner and had a fan replaced. Flaws: it does have normal wear and tear for a car this age-paint and body in great shape with a few dimples, 3 cracks in the dash, a nick in the front windshield (passenger side), passenger fog light's glass broken, the new battery does not fit in the plastic case in the trunk so the battery fits fine in its place with the case in the trunk to the side in case needed again. Only have one key at this time but I will mail the extra key if located. Has a manual for 450 SLC. It is great car looking for a great owner who will love to own this classic.

krichesond Store This is the legendary Mercedes-Benz OM617 3.0L turbocharged diesel engine inside of the w123 coupé chassis. 1985 was the last year that these mid-sized luxury supercars were produced. The engine has excellent compression after reaching the 500km milestone, and we can attribute this to exceptional maintenance over the 30 years that it's been on the road. I have started the application process to register this car for it's impressive mileage status. Paint is silver paired with the blue interior featuring MB-tex (thick gauge vinyl) seats. I bought the car six years ago and it's been my driver since. I've done oil and spin-on fuel filter changes every 10,000 miles and inline filter changes more frequently. In 2009 I had some front end components replaced as needed. I had the fuel return lines replaced due to a leak and had the valves adjusted with a new cover seal at this time as well. In 2011 the brake pads and rotors were replaced, one front caliper replaced and the other three were rebuilt. Radiator flush and transmission fluid change (but not filter). In 2012 the entire exhaust system was replaced from manifold to tail pipe, and the blower motor was replaced with new unit for the climate control. In 2013 the battery was replaced for the winter along with a couple of weak/defective glow plugs. Since then I have been spending a lot of time abroad and the car has seen less use. Updates for 2015 are a full set of new touring tires, a new outer tie rod, front end alignment, and essential fluid and filter changes at 325k. The trunk is loaded with extras. Extra fluids, a hydraulic floor jack and customized wheel lug wrench, a spotlight, jumper cables, rope, bungees, funnels, a gas can, various replacement bulbs, lubricants, five unused Bosch glow plugs, feeler gauges and specialty valve adjustment wrenches with a brand new cover gasket for next valve adjustment, various hoses, various ties and clamps, an assortment of fuses, the original tool kit, a full size matching bundt wheel, the longest extension cord I could find (for cold weather block heater situations) and spare factory keys, and even a spare ignition switch tumbler with spare keys. Automotive repair manual and the original owner's manual and maintenance booklet with documentation through 2005 (267k).The interior is immaculate except for some typical cracks on the top of the dash. The odometer works perfectly well because the trip has not been reset while driving. The floor carpet has never seen feet in 30 years thanks to all-weather rubber floor mats. The MB-tex is amazingly intact, with a small tear starting on the upper half of the driver's seat (which is still as springy and comfortable as the day it was made). The glass is nice, but there are some scratches on the door windows from operators forgetting to drop the back windows first. It's a very clean car. The original Becker is still installed but I can't seem to stop it from scanning when I turn it on, so I'll include a CD player on request if you would like to switch it. The speakers are original, and seem to all work. The Hirschmann power antennae will need to be rebuilt with a new mast to function perfectly. The sunroof works and all five power windows are functional. I have left some scheduled maintenance up for negotiation. I am willing to perform the following mechanical updates with a BuyItNow purchase after the deposit has cleared:1. I will replace the brittle D/S rear axle boot that begins to leak. If you don't plan to take the car far from Columbus Ohio, you can drive it home and replace them yourself. If you want to drive the car a long distance, I would not recommend doing this without making the repair first, because this becomes an expensive repair if the axle is ruined by being driven hard and dry. 2. I will test the glow plugs and replace any weak units, and do a valve adjustment and cover gasket replacement. Again, something you could save money and do yourself if you are handy, and for this routine I've already procured high grade (Bosch,etc.) components to complete. It's not as immediate as the axle issue, but it's a good idea to do this before winter for smooth driving and reliable cold starting.For a winning bid under the BuyItNow price, the car is sold as-is, where is, and must be picked up in person or by a transporter before the month ends. You are welcome to repair the axle on the car upon pick up, after which I have no doubts that it would make it safely across the country. This is probably the finest example of a 300CE you will ever see. I have taken several HD pictures so that you can judge the condition of the car.European headlights and side markers. The leather interior and wood are in awesome condition. New light tinted windows, starts right up all the time, idles fine, shifts fine, feels great. All lights, AC, cruise control and sunroof work fine. Never in accidents, clean history and no rust at all. Sold as is, no warranty of any kind. This is not a brand new car. It is a vintage car that will appreciate fast, very rare to find in this condition (mechanical and cosmetic).Is it perfect? No. Do not expect perfection. As with any old car, you can expect imperfections consistent with the age and mileage. However, I really doubt you will ever see another one in this condition. Sold as is, no warranty of any kind. 1982 Mercedes Benz 300CD Coupe, this car is a sporty classic version of the reliable and famous Mercedes diesels made 1978-1985 they are famous world wide for being reliable and often running for more than 500,000 miles. This car runs smooth and strong and the interior is in excellent condition, the wood accents are like new no cracks or flaws, no cracks in the dash and overall it is very nice as you can see in the photos. The car recently had a complete AC upgrade, brakes were completely rebuilt and four new Les Schwab Premium tires installed (70,000 miles warranty on new tires). Receipts for service going back to 1982 verify the low mileage, it had a complete safety check in June 2015 and recent repairs and upgrades were all done by a certified Mercedes mechanic at German Auto Werks, Placerville CA. The receipts confirm the miles on the vehicle including recent upgrades and safety checks. The interior is in excellent condition and the body is straight and clean, this car is a perfect driver and rare since not as many coupes were produced as sedans. The car is priced to sell and ready to drive anywhere. This is a great price for a straight low mileage Mercedes of this vintage, it rides beautifully and is a pleasure to drive. Cooling is perfect after engine flushed and all the new cooling parts. Transmission is smooth, and all vacuum systems working well including door locks.
