Completely AS-IS~ My 1993 MB wagon a former Florida condo car with 106K when I purchased to which I had added 20K additional miles. The strong & safe MB car was struck on the L front side by hit&run, the front end section suffered, but the engine was still running & rolling, until I braked, turned off engine & the fire dept cut the battery cables. If the car isn't rebuilt, but parted, The interior seats are still wonderfully functional, supportive & intact Palomino MB Tex--I expected to enjoy this car for another 100,000 miles. The electrical harness, upper & lower were replaced within the past 2 years, several upgrades under the hood, several fuses, 4 Michelin tires--it was running so fine, but it's all over now, no battery included. This late model W123 stands alone when your'e talking about 300TD wagons on the market. Over the last 5 years, this 300TD has received a $35,000 mechanical and cosmetic restoration. This 300TD was bought by the previous owner in 2002 out of Texas. It was a rust free car, but it had not been maintained as well as it should have been. The motor and transmission were pulled out and completely rebuilt. The motor was sent down to Florida and rebuilt from top to bottom by Noels. Check out www.Noels.com for some more information. This guy is one of Mercedes top engine builders worldwide! Aside from the motor and transmission, the rear drive axles were replaced, brakes gone through, control arms, ball joints, new Michelin tires (50mi ago), new chrome wheels, every single piece of exterior chrome was replaced NOS Mercedes parts (accept 1 that is absolutely unobtainable!) The front seats were replaced, european leather steering wheel was installed, all new NOS carpet kit installed, European front skid plates installed, MB oem battery, etc, etc. Also the wagon received a proper BARE METAL PAINT JOB which cost over $12,000. This 300TD is clean, straight, and ready to go anywhere! The chasis has just about 200k on it, while the motor and transmission were rebuilt 35,000mi ago. At that time the cluster was sent out and the odometer was set back to "0". Please refer to the exact condition of this beautiful 300TD. There are very few blemishes to speak of, and zero mechanical needs. The only item that we have noticed is the tachometer has stopped working, and we are looking into it. Beautiful Example of W123 300D turbo diesel. Previous owner purchased in 1985 and drove between Knoxville and Florida after retiring from the armed services. Lots of highway driving to achieve 230k miles. Still runs like a sewing machine and the paint and interior are incredible. Nicest 123 interior I have encountered. It is currently garage kept and driven on the weekends. Very solid car that will easily blow past 500k miles (my previous 86 had 498k and new owner drives it 200 miles a day!)Recent work includes:Motor MountsTrans MountFuel tank and lines cleanedInjector return lines (soft lines)Pre and spin on fuel filtersAir filterOil/Filter ~150 miles agoVCV Adjusted (for slightly smoother shifting)Previous owner put in new exhaust ~ 4 years agoHe meticulously maintained it during his ownership with Bearden benz repair in Knoxville and there is paperwork with the car to show this. (Give them a call and ask about the car)What it needs:The A/C has slowly leaked. A re-charge will probably suffice but long term the leak should be looked at. Most likely leaking at evaporator as this is where they always leak.Suspension/alignment is probably ready to start refreshing. These cars ride great even as the suspension components wear out but being OCD I would probably begin this process next. It rides/drives fine as is (very comfy) but I just overhauled our 240D suspension and it only seems logical to do the same for the 300.There is a dent in the passenger side fender that could easily be pulled with paintless dent removal tools. I never had the time nor worry to fix it as I focused on mechanical items first.Brakes are fine but I would recommend a fluid flush soon. Brake fluid is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere over time. This is preventative maintenance to ensure your brake hard lines last. The interior of this 123 is the nicest I have ever come across in terms of no rips or tears of any kind anywhere. The only down side is the fading of the factory dye which is easily remedied if you have a weekend and DIY spirit. I preferred the "aged" look considering how clean and mint the interior is but you can dye it if you want with exact matching factory dye. The rest of the interior is immaculate from the carpets to the non cracked dash. Everything is original including the fully functioning cassette player and factory speakers along with the antenna and antenna button. Even the vanity mirrors light up as they should! Up for sale is my 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300TD. Milage is about 230,000 but will be going up. It has been my daily driver for a few years now during which time I have repaired several small items. The car originally came from California and ended up in East Tennessee about 4 years ago. With its California heritage, there is no rust that we can find on the vehicle. ***I also have all receipts from the life of the vehicle.*** Repairs: Some of the small repairs that were done while I owned the car: - Replaced striker plates on three doors so they would shut better. - Replaced one strut in the rear liftgate so that it stays up, but won't hit you in the face as when replacing both struts. - Replaced the glow plug relay. - self leveling suspension replaced with suspension from slsconversion.com -Replaced the drivers window regulator with a manual regulator. The parts from the electric drivers window control are included and all other power windows work. -front door seals replaced * Also all exterior lights work. The Body: There is one small dent in the rear liftgate (in photos) and a few places here and there where clear coat or paint is chipped but nothing down to metal still on liftgate (took pictures, but couldn't get them to show up very well). Interior: The interior is tan in color and in good shape. - There is a small tear in the driver's seat -There are some stains in the cargo area that is RIT dye .OOPS (in photos). -Dash is not cracked, we were told it had been replaced in California. -All instruments work. - All floormats are still there, and there is a set of weather tech rubber mats also included. -No leaks. - It has the original Becker AM/FM cassette stereo. Radio works great, cassette player doesn't seem to. If you can find one of those cassette head cleaners, it probably would work Engine: The engine starts and runs well. It consistently has gotten 27 mpg with most of the driving in town. It burns about a quart of oil every four tanks of fuel, mostly when pulling from idle. I did general maintenance on the engine (changing oil, filters, etc) but no problems mechanically. We took it on about 4 or so 600 mile trips with no problems. No problems around town either for that matter. Transmission shifts smoothly. Michelin tires have about 80% life left in them. I have loved this car but we are moving and need a 4wd

Engine shuts off immediately when you turn the key off, which shows good vacuum system.Tools for tire removal intact.Tires in good condition, less then 2 years old and have about 75% of tread left.Sunroof works as it should and is watertight.Wipers working great and are new.All turning signals and lights including fog lights are working perfectly.Interior lights including trunk, engine, visor, glove compartment and rear all work.Cruise control does not work.Original Factory Mercedes double horns in working condition.All dash lights work except right turn signal.Dashboard looks great and has only one small crack on passenger side.Rear deck nice but missing cover for first aid kit.Rear seats also in great condition with only minor wear including armrest.Carpet throughout is OEM Headliner in good condition.Hazard switch illuminating as it should with the hazards working fine.Parking brake pedal works as it should.Door panels look good and are complete with material covered rubber trim.Wood has no cracking or chipping .Glove compartment opens and shuts tight but needs work on the latch.This would make a great collectible car, or a daily driver that will be sure to turn heads.
