Antique 1984 Mercedes Benz 300CD Turbo Diesel - Rare Two Door - One Owner - Low Mileage This fantastic classic car has been a family car since the day it was purchase. It was maintained monthly however it has not been driven in the past 3 years or so. It's all original with the exception of the radio however I do have the original radio if you want it. There is a tiny bit of rust in the top right corner of the trunk. It did leak a bit but nothing crazy. There are also two small cigarette burns on the moon roof. These engines run forever but I would assume it needs new tires and a new battery. Overall this car is in great condition with very low milage for its age. It was a weekend car kept in the garage (with exception of the past few years) and driven primarily on highways. With a little TLC it needs just minor cosmetic fixes and it can be a good car for many more years.Can deliver within 100 miles. This 1982 Mercedes 300SD Turbo Diesel runs and drives so nice!! This non smoker car is from Maryland so it is very clean as you will see in my pictures. The motor runs so good as if it has 40,000 miles. It fires right up in the cold (has the plug in feature also) with no issues. The motor runs cool and has very nice power. The glow plugs and filters are recent. This one has the 5 cylinder turbo diesel that has a great reputation for reliability and dependability. The turbo works great. You can hear the turbo working when you accelerate. It is fun to hear that tune. Plenty of power when you accelerate or when passing. No excessive smoke or blow by. The transmission shifts like brand new in all gears. No delay, slipping, chattering or overquick shifting that would indicate that problems. The car was kept up so nice through the years. You know you are driving a special car as soon as you drive it. The 4 tires are very recent on freshly redone wheels. The wheels are a very light silver. The black paint shines very well and is polished and waxed to protect it. The side and rear window is very lightly tinted to assist in filtering the sun. The suspension feels great. The brakes are 4 wheel disk brakes and they work fantastic. The exhaust is very clean with no leaks. There is nothing done wrong on this car that I can see. The vacuum lines and wiring under the hood is all done right. The power windows, power locks, power sunroof, horn, cruise, and lights are all working. The radio works but the antenna is stuck up. The Air conditioning works very well on this Mercedes. The compressor is like new. The heat works well too. The dash is not all cracked. The palomino seats are Mercedes Benz Text replacment seats and the rear seats are factory leather. The floor mats are palomino factory mats that are new. The tachometer once in a while will not work. The zebrano wood trim in in good shape. The door panels are nice. The rear deck is good. The first aid kit is there. The bottom is solid. You can see the jack hole on the rockers on the car have some rust. In 82 they weren't covered so you can see the rust. They have been filled with spray foam to keep the elements out of the rockers. The car is solid as a rock. There is no accident damage that I can see. The car has so rust bubbles on the paint. The chrome looks nice and bright. The yellow fog lights are a nice feature with clean headlight bezels. I have a clean clear title in hand for this car. Up for your approval is a vintage 1980 Mercedes 300SD. Currently on the road and registered. Mostly original except for the aftermarket cd player and sony speakers the previous owner never wired up. Also it has a straight pipe....not my idea. A few problem areas include- engine mounts are worn so it allows the engine to rock at idle, but when it gets going its fine. The wiring to the key start has some interruption so the car currently starts with a push button under the hood. Kinda gives it that "crank start" feel. Cosmetically the 35 year old paint is chipping and faded, and the rockers are pretty rusted. Framework is sound. The odometer only shows around 96K but the previous owner claims there to be 130K. Tires have very few miles on them. Happy hunting!
