1991 Mercedes Benz 350 SDL. Has significant wear on it from use. We took it to a mechanic who said he would work on it but failed to for two years. It has been sitting ever since. The turbocharger is loose and damaged, and as far as I know that is the only problem with the engine. The frame to the inside of the door is damaged, and the leather on the passenger seat is ripped, and the back right window slides down on its own. Unfortunately the man who we left the car with let the window slide down and did not care to raise it when it rained or snowed leaving water damage on the back seats. This would be a great work project for someone who has the knowledge to work on old german autos. I have for sale a rare piece of German engineering. A 1991 Mercedes 300E. These cars are some of the last "real" Mercedes. It has a very reliable 2.6l straight six engine and runs smoothly and quietly. The 5speed automatic will carry you smoothly and efficiently to your destination. This is the kind of car that you simply put into drive, and let it carry you to wherever you want to go. The interior is full leather interior with real wood trim. I have had this car for over two years and my father had this car for 8 years before that. It has been loved and cared for its entire life. Always had the oil changed every 5k miles and have had the other maintenance done on time every time. (trans services, spark plugs, fuel filters, etc) The only thing that shows its age is that the paint has started to fade on the roof, hood, and trunk. Other than that, it has no mechanical faults or issues. I am selling the car because my wife and I bought a new car recently and I haven't been driving this one much lately. A true Arizona car, which remains completely original very few faults, can be found. This model was Mercedes first official sedan to be under the well-known S Class distinction. Only offered in the American and Canadian markets the 300SD was intended to help Mercedes enter their luxury sedans into the North American market. Powered by a 3.0L turbo diesel inline 5 engine mated with a smooth 4 speed automatic transmission, it’s capable of daily driving or cross-country adventures. Mercedes didn’t cut any costs for this high-end model, given Bosch fuel injection and a Garrett turbo; these engines were made to outlast the driver. They also made several improvements, given specifically to the 300SD, which helped it earn the reputation of being one of the safest cars on the road. With reinforced roof and door pillars occupant safety was greatly increase, along with moving the fuel tank to above the rear axle too. 1976 Mercedes 300d 61,000 miles on odometer very clean car. The reason I'm selling is because I have no were to store it and its sitting out side. A car of this caliber needs to be in a garage. Also would like to have an 83-85 that has the turbo. The interior is in excellent condition, Tires are in great shape, its a great little driver. I purchased this car on at the beginning of the summer I've driven it to work a couple times and to church on Sundays. The things that need attention Back drivers side CV joint needs grease or replaces it clicks when you turn right. Drivers side window regulator needs replaced. Passenger windows have an electrical short. Oil pressure sensor and temperature gauge don't seem to register. The radio works as it should and the Interior is really clean. There were a couple small rust holes in the drivers and passenger side floorboard I just had my buddy fix them. It has a new battery and I installed a K&N air Filter. The hose to the old filter canister was weather cracked. I imagine the vacum lines will need to be replaced at some point as well I drove it last weekend and had to pop the hood and us the shut off leaver to shut it off. Also noticed that the previous owner installed a new radiator but doesn;t appear to know what he was doing because it is shimmed in with a wood block intead of the plastic tracks it is supposed to sit in. It's in really great shape for being 39 years old. Come take it for a test driv. I came up with a $6500 price knowing it needed attention in the areas I mentioned and there are multiple 300D's on ebay with this mileage and anywhere between $8500 and $16k.
