1984 Mercedes Benz 300D, pick-up only Diesel, 4-speed automatic In about as good of shape as you will find one, this Mercedes-Benz is a 2-owner car! The first owner (a professor of petroleum engineering) bought it off the showroom floor. The dealership's lead mechanic took care of it until he opened his own garage and continued to take care of it until I bought it, brokered through him. Still a certified Mercedes mechanic, he has continued to care for it until I could no longer drive it (do to knee & hip injury). I'm having to face reality & know I will never be able to drive it and it breaks my heart! And, I have no place to keep it out of the weather (for past 2 years). It has been a dream to drive. Built as only Mercedes could, the doors sound like closing an old refrigerator door. Solid. One very small ding on driver's fender and a little chip in front grille, all from an ice storm (pic). The seats are in good shape, with only one (repairable) worn spot on the driver's side (shown in pic). Dashboard is clean (pic). Original steering wheel in great shape. Electric sunroof was in smooth operating order when I had to stop driving. Driver's side electric window motor replaced last 3 years it was driven, but window has slipped from track. 248000 original miles. 5 alloy wheels. I always had regular maintenance and timely repairs, and oil changes every 2500-2800 miles. This is probably the best '84 300 D Turbo on Ebay. I have had the privilege to help a guy sell this car, he used to own a repair shop in Norman OK for years. He's retired now and not in the greatest of health. It was driven by his wife every day, and if it needed something he did it. He also won awards at Pebble beach and other shows for his cars. All I did to get this car ready to take pictures was wash the dust off of it, no high dollar detail job to hide flaws. The engine compartment was very clean for a diesel. The tires might have 100 miles on them and it was just serviced, fresh interstate battery. The Becker cassette radio even works. EVERYTHING works on this car. If you are looking for a classic that will run for another 250k miles come get this one.

This car is one of three that has been sitting for 20 years. Brand new starter was put on it 20 years ago when it was parked. Motor not locked up turns over. This motor was put in 20 years ago and was driven 3 times and parked in a barn. Original motor was taken out due to too much blowby. Ran good. We have original motor and transmission sitting next to it and is not locked up either. Odometer reads 138,000 miles on it. Interior is a little bit dirty from sitting so long but with a good professional cleaning it will look very nice. Has a sunroof. We know nothing about foreign cars but obviously this would be a good project car. Has original Mercedes rims and center caps. No rust anywhere on this car. All glass is good on this car. Has title.
