It used the GM A platform, shared with the Chevrolet Deluxe. The AK series was also branded and sold at GMC locations, with the primary visual difference being the Chevrolet had vertical bars in the grille, while the GMC had horizontal bars. The 1941-45 GMC models were sold as C-Series and became the E-Series for the 1946 and 1947 model years (CC-Series / EC-Series for the conventional cab models and CF-Series / EF-Series for the COE ones). 1949 chevy half ton short bed truck. Excellent condition. Has a G-body front clip and rear end. Strong 350 v8/ 4 barrel and a 350 automatic transmission. Has vintage air conditioning, electric wipers, Bluetooth radio, power seats, power windows, and all the good creature comforts. Painted very recently with House of Kolor Sunrise Pearl. The paint has a few minor imperfections, but overall, very nice. The truck has almost every new part available on it, including chrome, glass, rubber seals, custom interior, oak bed wood, etc. There's a few minor upgrades that can be taken care of by the new owner including the bear claw door latches, and a better setup from the steering column to the steering box. 1957 Chevrolet 3100 This is a super cool looking truck. The stance is right and the BRAND NEW staggered 18's wrapped in BF rubber really make this truck stand out! The body is in good condition and looks nice. It ALL METAL and boasts smooth contours with crisp lines. Both bumpers look incredible. All of the trim on this truck presents its self very well and shines bright! The grill is super clean as well. The headlights are clear and free of cracks or chips. The iconic Chevrolet tail gate is perfect and the block bowtie looks super cool! All of the glass looks really good as well! The bed rails are not beat up and are nice and straight. The wood bed looks good as well with stainless strips that make a nice contrast in build material. I believe it has a Nova front clip and the frint brakes have ben converted to power disc. This truck runs, drives and rides incredibly well and with it's nice modern touch to a timeless classic you will NOT be disappointed! You will also find power seats in the cab as well. Under the hood we find a STRONG running 350 and smooth shifting turbo 350 transmission. It pulls well through every gear and a custom exhaust makes it sound incredible as well! The engine bay looks really clean and has allot of chrome and aluminum that dresses it up nicely! As pictures show this truck presents itself very well. The interior looks good and the custom paint has been taken in the cab as well. The dash looks just as good as the body and the custom wrapped door panels along with the split bench seat were done extremely well! The headliner is tight and clean. The carpet is brand new and free of rips, or stains. A custom set of gauges rest in the freshly painted dash and they look great! This truck is ready to hit the road and drive to shows in style. 1949 Chevrolet 3100. I got it from a Barn/Garage in CT. I cleaned up the carb, added fresh fuel and a new fuel filter and it fired right up. It Runs and drives great. Has original motor with 80,000 miles. Like I said it starts right up without any problems. It actually starts easier than my daily driver. I love the foot pedal starter. It has a "3 on the Tree" manual transmission. Shifts through all the gears and reverse with no problems. Clutch works good. Gauges are also working. Speedo is missing the needle. Odometer is working. Fuel Gauge works. Oil Pressure Gauge works. *All the Glass is there and not broken* The driver side door glass is off the track will need to be put back in place. Body is in great shape. There is some black primer on fenders and hood. Fenders both front and rear are in great shape. Bed has all the wood boards in place. Hood is in great shape. Tailgate looks great. Everything is there accept the running boards (They are available in many places). I have the front bumper. It will be included. Bench seat has been reupholstered. Also the door panel were done to match the bench seat. It has brand New Tires all around, Center caps are there. This is a complete running driving truck, Brakes work all around . This is not some old junk truck in 100 pieces and there are no piles of parts to go with it. It is a running driving stopping fire it right up truck, Somebody also upgraded it to a 12 volt system, It is a 1949 truck (68 yrs, old) so there is a spot or two of rust but nothing heavy. I think you could say that it has a Great Patina to it. I also have a 1974 Corvette sitting on a new chassis. I was going to put the truck on the vette but this truck is too good to take apart. (Just my opinion) I could include the vette for a fee too? Vette has 350 with aluminum heads, 4 speed on a new chassis. So like I said the truck is sold as is. Its 68 yrs old. There will be some wear and age. It is not a 2017 Silverado. I feel that I have done my best to describe the truck. I am sure that some of you have much more knowledge than I do. That is cool with me. I am not looking to get in to a battle of the wits or even some crazy email feud. The truck runs and drives and stops. I drove it around for at least an hour today. No problems at all. No overheating or leaking. No broken parts. I know this truck could easily be restored to 100%. It is all there. Comes with CT.
