Keith purchased it from a wealthy man who was sparing no expense to build a gift for his son, but when the project was about 85% complete he took his son to see it and his son said it wasn't really his style. The man was very sad and disappointed and sold the truck to Keith who had always wanted one. Sadly, Keith never finished it either so it waits for the person who will finish it and give it the love it deserves! I am selling my 1999 Chevy Silverado C2500 3/4 ton (8600 LB GVW) Two Wheel Drive Crew Cab Short Box. It has the Vortec 454 with the 4L80E transmission. It has been lowered 3" in front and 4" in the rear. It has been the best pickup I have ever owned. It has been maintained very well. It has had the oil and filter changed every 3000 miles and the transmission oil and filter has been changed and every 30,000 miles. I have owned it 16 years and I bought it when it was a year old with 18,000 miles. It now has almost 158,000 miles on it and the engine and transmission are original. It starts and runs good and uses less than a quart of oil between oil changes. I also use Lucas oil stabilizer at every oil change. It has a K&N Filter Performance Intake Kit and a stainless steel Magnaflow performance muffler. The front brakes are new with new brake pads and rotors. The air conditioning blows ice cold. All controls work fine. The only thing that has ever failed was the in-tank electric fuel pump at 117,000 miles. The tires are nearly new and the are mounted on OEM 2002 Chevy aluminum wheels. The rear end is a heavy duty posi-traction differential with a 3:73-1 ratio. The body is dent and rust free. The paint has great gloss and some chips as you would expect after 16 years. It has never had a major accident and is not a rebuilder or salvage vehicle. It has a leather interior and the seats and original carpet are like new. It has no ribs, tears or worn spots in the seats, and the headliner is perfect. I just had a new windshield installed this month. The box has a BedRug carpeted box liner since it was new and the box doesn't have a scratch in it. The box is covered with a fiberglass locking bed cover. It has the trailer package with a heavy duty receiver hitch. It is a very clean truck that is in great condition for its age, and there were very few two wheel drive crew cab short box models made and fewer that have survived. Asking $7495 or best offer. all original and nearly rust free, i say nearly because there is some surface spots, and a spot on the drivers fender, as well as some minor rust at the inside bottom of the passenger door, the cab has no rust that i can see , original owner said the odometer is correct showing only 31,000 miles he left it to sit for many years and it rusted the cylinder walls, so he removed the cylinder head , the pistons look almost new under the dirt so i tend to believe the mileage story , it also has a A paper arizona title showing that the mileage is correct , i want to sell the truck make a reasonable offer all i can say is no , transportation is up to the buyer , i can store the truck for awhile just let me know what your needs are if you are interested , i can help load , thanks
