This is a early 1955 Chevy Pick-Up 3100 With a one piece windshield. Located next to I-10 for easy access This truck is ready to drive your girlfriend and you to a car show or your grandchildren to the ice cream shop. It will give you braging rights with your buddies. I invested $7500 in this truck when I purchased it. I invested $$over $7500 in new parts & the rebuild. The motor was professionally rebuilt by NAPA. The under carriage was cleaned. The new speedometer head was $450 The American Racing wheels and the Goodyear tires were $1400 The door glass and windshield were replaced including rubbers & felts. Completely Frame-off restoration. This is the BEST truck I have ever driven! Only 425 miles since restoration. VIN# 3A570120016 This is a real 3100 short bed truck. Power Steering, Power Brakes, 4 wheel disc brakes, Air Conditioning (ice cold), 4 wheel Independent Suspension, AM/FM Radio, and lots more…. The Truck received a nut and bolt restoration that was completely taken apart and built into the beast it is today. It was imperative the truck remained original, however with a few mods to the drivability, and comfort which no expense was spared in the process makes this one of finest drivers out there. The Frame was completely disassembled, sand blasted, power coated, and received reinforcement to accommodate the aluminum corvette rear end. It has all aluminum independent suspension with front and rear adjustable coilovers. Aluminum upper and lower arms. All pro built brackets and support mounts. Sway bars and aluminum crossmembers. Also has aluminum torsion bars in the rear. The Body is very sane and as all the original spot-welds from factory(see pics). Hasn’t been in any accidents. It was a rust free truck. During the restoration process it received all new rubber cab mounts, new door seals, all new chrome pieces, new windows, new weather stripping, all new lights, bumpers, grills, all new bolts and nuts all around. The Bed was restored with all new wood bed kit with polished stainless steel strips. The truck was a 3-stage paint job clear finish all around, and sits on REV performance polished wheels. The engine is a Brand New built 350cid crate engine mounted to a 700R4 automatic transmission. A lot of detail has been spent on the engine compartment to make this truck a show winner. The aluminum radiator with electric fan keeps the car very cool. Has Edelbrock polished aluminum air intake manifold, Edelbrock polished carburetor, polished valve covers, polished stainless steal trans oil dip stick kit, polished spark plugs holders, complete MSD ignition system, all brand new wiring & harnesses, polished aluminum headers, aluminum battery holder kit, vintage AC kit, all new pulley’s & belts, chromed oil pan, power brakes kit, power steering kit and much more. This is one of the best trucks I’ve driven. The interior has also been sand blasted all around and repainted with no cut corners. Look at the pics to see the sides of the doors and underneath. All upholstery is brand new including roof line, and all new chrome miscellaneous pieces through out the interior. Has all new chrome gauge dash with all new fuel, volts, oil pressure, water temp, and tachometer gauges. All working, and lights up at night. Stainless steal steering column with aluminum brackets and authentic aluminum steering wheel. Billet aluminum throttle pedal. AM/FM vintage radio kit. This car is in immaculate condition and very comfortable & pleasant to be in. The Body is straight as an arrow. All doors, hood are all aligned like they should. TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES AND MOTOR SOUNDS GREAT, IVE DRIVEN IT FOR SHORT DRIVES WITH NO ISSUES, I HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT ACROSS THE STATE SO CANT DESCRIBE WHAT THAT'S LIKE. DOOR WEATHERSTRIPPING IS BAD AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT IF YOU WANT THAT TO BE PERFECT. I'D LEAVE AS IS. CLUTCH IS WORKING WELL AND SO ARE THE BRAKES, AND TRANSMISSION IS SHIFTING WELL AND GOING INTO ALL GEARS, IT IS THREE SPEEDS ON THE COLUMN. BODY HAS VERY COOL PATINA AND SURFACE RUST AND ONE COAT OF CLEAR. YOU CAN ADD THREE MORE COATS IF YOU WANT, IT JUST HAS ONE COAT NOW TO PRESERVE THE PATINA. IT HAS NEW HOOD EMBLEMS, BED WOOD, AND BED STAKES. HAS CHEVY PAINTED RIMS IN ROD GREEN AND NEW FIBERGLASS WHITEWALL TIRES ALL AROUND , A COUPLE OF THE TIRES STILL HAVE THE NEW RUBBER TRIM STILL ON THEM. FIREWALL WAS PAINTED WHIT WITH COOL STICKERS INSTALLED. STEP PLATES WERE PAINTED IN GOLD ARE EXCELLENT, AND SIDE SPLASH APRONS ARE PAINTED WITH GOLD LEAF AND GREEN ACCENT. ROOF IS CUSTOM PAINTED WITH GOLD FLAKE AND A ORIGINAL PATTERN TAKEN FROM A 60'S TABLECLOTH THAT GAVE ITS LIFE FOR THIS ROOF PATTERN. SO ITS A 100 PERCENT ORIGINAL TRUCK.TRUCK HAS A LOT OF COOL STICKERS, AND TRIM AND DECALS, AND ORIGINAL TOUCHES. ITS NOT COOKIE CUTTER WHICH MAKES IT NICE. ITS A RAT ROD OR OLD HOT ROD NOT A TRAILER QUEEN. INTERIOR IS COOL, MISSING REAR VIEW MIRROR, AND HEADLINER. ( I DID PURCHASE NEW BLACK HEADLINER BOARD KIT, AND I WILL INCLUDE IN THE SALE. ) THE GLASS IS ALL DRIVER GRADE, ONE VENT DOOR WINDOW IS CRACKED BUT LOOKS GREAT SO I LEFT IT. ( I DID BUY NEW ONE AND WILL COME WITH TRUCK IF YOU WANT TO REPLACE IT) WINDSHIELD HAS A COUPLE OF AIR BUBBLES FROM NICKS OR SOMETHING BUT TO ME IT LOOKS COOL I WOULD NOT CHANGE IT, ITS NOT CRACKED. I LEFT IT, BUT I DID PURCHASE A NEW STEEL REPLACEMENT CAB CORNER AND IT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE SALE. HAS WIPER MOTOR AND WIPERS, FRANKLY I HAVE NOT TESTED IT I ASSUME IT'S NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD AND BUYER SHOULD PUT IT IN WORKING ORDER. FRONT SHOCKS WERE REPLACED AND NEW ONES INSTALLED. REAR SHOCKS I DON'T KNOW THE AGE OF. HAS REAR TAIL LIGHTS CUSTOM FITTED FROM A MERC INTO THE REAR FENDERS. REALLY NICE CUSTOM TOUCH. HAS NEW INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES AND CUSTOM DOOR PANELS. WINDOWS DO GO UP AND DOWN. GAUGES ARE OLD AND FRUMPY AND ORIGINAL. HAS A AFTERMARKET OIL PRESSURE GAUGE, BUT NOT DRILLED INTO DASH. DASH IS INTACT WITH NO SILLY RADIO CUTOUTS ETC. FRAME HAS NO RUST EXCEPT SURFACE, ITS EXCELLENT. THE ONLY RUST I CAN FIND IS WHAT I DESCRIBED IN CAB CORNERS, AND THERE IS ONE HOLE AGAINST THE DRIVER FENDER CORNER THAT YOU CAN SEE FROM INSIDE THE FRONT WHEEL WELL. AND THE DRIVER DOOR SIDE BOTTOM COLUMN HAS A CUTOUT OF RUST MAYBE THREE INCHES LONG BUT IT IS NOT AFFECTING ANYTHING STRUCTURALLY AND NOT AFFECTING DOOR CLOSING OR HINGE WORKING. CAN PROB BE EASILY FIXED WITH A PATCH OR FIBERGLASS BUT I DID NOT WANT TO COVER UP THIS TRUCK IS NICE, ITS NOT PERFECT. PEOPLE ON EBAY ARE SELLING 3100 1955 TRUCKS FOR 10K THAT HAVE FROZEN MOTORS AND RUSTED BODIES. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT STARTER TRUCK AND WITH 2500 DOLLARS I THINK IT COULD BE A 20K TRUCK YOU COULD HANG WITH AT SHOWS AND BE RESPECTABLE. HAS A TONLOAD OF HOURS INTO ALREADY THAT WOULD EITHER COST YOU MONEY AND WORSE TIME TO GET TO THIS STAGE. PLEASE EXPECT TO MAKE MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENTS AND BODY WORK AND HAVE TO BUY ITEMS TO MAKE THIS TRUCK WHAT IT NEEDS TO BE . This truck is immaculate and was fully restored 25 years ago. The lustrous paint is a fantastic contrast to the brand new red interior. When you get behind the wheel you are immediately transported to the 50’s and what a wonderful feeling it is. This truck rides great and the engine and transmission combination are perfect. With independent front suspension, Power rack and pinion steering and air conditioning you couldn't really ask for more in a 50’s classic. Interior: The red Daytona weave carpet is the immaculate and really pops when you open the door. The original radio is intact and works very well. This interior restoration is one of the nicest that I have seen on a classic in a long time. The owner cared for it well and it looks to have never been sat in. There is nothing like cruising in a classic truck with the ice cold A/C blasting. Exterior: One of my favorite features of this truck is the wraparound windshield. This is very unique and is rarely seen today. This truck is rust free which is certainly hard to find on these models. The ride height is perfect, giving this truck a bit of nose down rake. The “big and small” staggered tires emphasize the rake giving the truck an aggressive stance. The Granite grey paint is beautiful and has been well cared for. The 15” red painted steelies come with the stock hubcaps and bright trim rings. The trim and the wood in the bed are perfect. Drivetrain: The specially built 235ci inline 6 is smooth as silk and produces plenty of power, breathing through twin single barrel carburetors. The Offenhauser log-style manifold and split Fenton headers run into the dual exhaust to make sure this straight six is moving air properly. The 5-speed manual gearbox is perfect. It allows for plenty of power on the low end, along with conservative fuel economy on the highway. The engine and transmission are perfect; there are no leaks or strange noises.
