62 Rat Rod Chevy Truck with 64 Grille. 305 Engine. This truck is a C20 Long bed with 5 lug front end and an 8 lug rear, wanted to swap out rear end next. Bought this truck from Florida about 5 years ago. Think it was a California truck at one point. Kept in garage here in Pennsylvania. Put a bunch of new parts on it about 3 years ago, only about 3500 miles since. New Parts: Tilt steering column, aluminum radiator, complete wire harness (front to rear), chrome all the way around (missing passenger side headlight trim in pics, but i have it), gas tank sending unit (origninal tank behind seat), Dolphin gauge cluster, dual exhaust and mufflers, old aire air conditioning and heater, rear back up lights. also new: Drop spindles (i think 3 1/2 inch) and 5 inch drop coils from (i think Classic Performance Products) with dual reservoir power disc brakes in front along with shock absorbers. Dropping it and adding brakes cost about $5,000 alone. Clutch takes a few minutes to pump up if sitting for a month. Only 3 gauges work correctly in the new cluster, the guy who installed it didn't wire it correctly. Engine runs pretty good for an old engine although i'm sure it could use some tuning up, new plugs and wires added when wire harness was added. Starts in winter cold even thought it hasn't run in a month, good battery. Junk batter tray added by p.o. and they cut into inner fender to fit it. I think it has the original 4 on the floor transmission with the granny gear and original rear. Floor parking brake that works. Original bench seat with slightly worn fitted seat cover. I bought a vinyl floor for it but I bought the wrong one, doesn't fit right so you will need a new floor. Some patching on drivers side floor. Some patching on outer rocker panels, needs work on inner. Good enough for this look but if you wanted to fix it up, need replacing. No firewall padding. Air conditioning control panel was put into old control panel opening and attached by some weld tacks and it damage the dash around old opening in dash a little bit. Air conditioning is installed except for hoses, hose hardware and belt are included. Body is pretty solid and straight except for: rusted through behind front wheels, puttied up and ok for this look, would need new patch panels if you were fixing this up, some rust but not through on bottom corners of doors, puttied up, good enough for this look, dent in front drivers side hood, puttied up, football size dent in drivers side rear bed panel behind wheel, puttied up. Underneath of truck is solid and good condition with surface rust. Need new tires, dry rotting and low tread. This truck is in drivable condition but to pass inspection in Pennsylvania, the exhaust needs to go all the way out the back end, it stops right before rear axle. we had to remove tail pipe when we dropped it. The exhaust will also need to be worked on in front, when we dropped front end, exhaust is a little low. don't think the exhaust guy did a very good job at that point. Wood bed is rotted out but metal strips are there in usable condition. No radio. passenger side speaker mounted, other speaker included. Has new shoulder seat belts and middle seat belt although passenger door seat belt already has corrosion on it and middle seat belt has corrosion and will not work, will try wd40. Chrome door sill plates are new too but rusting already. cheap crap. Outside chrome door handles are new and same keyed with working glove box however driver side door handle mechanism needs some work, inside door handle will not work, need to open window and use outside handle to open. New window felt. New parts also included: Windshield and rear window rubber, new in packaging but at least 5 years old. Door rubber for both sides, again, new in packaging but at least 5 years old. I am in the middle of a faux patina paint job like they did on the Trucks! tv show with a 49 chevy. It has been hand panted several layers with a hand brush, next up was to wet sand it to finish the look. There is no real natural patina on the body and I am not trying to portray it that way here on e-bay. Some people like this look, some don't. I was not finished with the look I was going for. I would call this a distressed looking red oxide primer look. It is a fun drive around town and gets tons of looks, a bunch of thumbs up and offers to buy it. I don't want to sell it but i need to right now. I have tried my hardest to list everything good and bad about the truck and will probably remember something I forgot tomorrow, so check back for updates. Will also add pics of interior, bed and underneath. Message me with questions. Clean title Will need $500 deposit WITHIN 24 HOURS and full payment within 3 days. Please do not bid on this if you do not plan on paying for it. I will work with you on getting it to semi truck to ship it to you and will get truck company name and number for an estimate.*****UPDATE 1/31/17****** Just added pics of engine, underneath and interior. Please check them out. I was wrong, passenger side outer rocker panel was not patched up. I want to make sure I tell you everything so you are not surprised if you win this truck. Other small things wrong***Battery connection needs to be worked on. Sometimes need to wiggle connection to get a contact. Nothing big, but thought I'd share. Has an Optima Red Top Battery, can get 5 minutes of cranking out of it if needed. Windshield has wiper scuffs on it. No visors but 1 new visor arm is attached, the other included. Ran the numbers on the engine, pretty sure it's out of an '83 truck. Engine being 35 years old, can't guarantee small things wrong with it, may leak some oil but it does run. I have 2 used '64 chevy C-10 badges with it. radio antennae is shaved. Any other questions, please ask.

Here is the freshly built "49Hardtimes". I'v put over 800 hrs in this frame off build in the course of about 22 months. This isn't some thrown together half build jalopy, practically everything is new or rebuilt. As you'll see below I'll break down the categories, however its going to be long winded and I still won't cover every little detail because there are too many to list. I have hundreds of pictures documenting the build, also a build thread on a very reputable site. So many times I see these trucks selling with very little information and zero videos. I'll cover all of that. I take pride in my work and want the truck to go to a good home. In the past two years I'v seen the market climb and stay strong. I can tell you from what I'v seen recently, this is by far one of the best trucks that will hit auction. I have documented most all of the AD trucks that sell on here and will gladly share the listings with you, so you can compare if you like. I'v put about 800 miles on it so far. I'v recently drove it to Pittsburgh, from Titusville 100 miles one way and got about 20mpg. Just drove to Erie, PA and got about 20mpg as well. PA inspected as a daily driver. IF there is something you want changed contact me and perhaps we can work something out. This truck is my style, my passion, my build but not a truck I need, I have others and continually working on more. NEW NOTES: if you want EFI, it can be added though carburation is reliable and simple to maintain. 2. I will take payments if you want to put money down 3. If you know anything about these trucks, what is selling and bringing top dollar you'd be getting a good at this price. As some have mentioned on here the amount of money that can be put just in parts is a lot. You couldn't dream of a real shop building a truck of this caliber for this price. 4. Please no low ball offers, please try and source a truck, built it to this quality and style and attention to detail. source the tools, the time the space and motivation to build one. I have too much pride in my work to give this truck away, I'll keep it and enjoy it if need be. - awesome patina, no rot, or caked on bondo, all metal has been properly undercoated -tons of metal work, all new custom floor and patches -new glass, rubber, seals you name it -full blown interior, everything works (unlike most these trucks) -custom speedometer and tach (no cookie cutter gauges here) -freshly rebuilt 350 FULL roller VORTEC sbc with carb aprox 400hp (read details) -5 speed trans (you guys are missing out so much over an auto) -new HP clutch, HP driveshaft, 3.42 gears -HP braking, disc all round, stainless hose, copper nickel line, drilled slot rotors, everything is NEW (no reused budget build brakes) -full stainless exhaust that's headers to mufflers (almost every truck like this I see do not offer this, never replace exhaust again!) -AIRIDE, yes this truck is bagged and let me say MUCH rather have this than a static drop truck - all top name air ride parts (read details, no cheapie stuff here) -late model GM chassis (super stout frame, boxed, modified) FULLY coated -PWS -WIPERS, HEAT (no AC, not for me, but you can always add that) -20gal fuel tank, all new fuel system will not rust out either. -all new wiring REBEL 21circuit (no reused stuff here, tons of hours in wiring) -bear claws, (safer than stock, plus allows door to lock, has keyless entry) -fully painted interior and engine bay -classic white wall tires practically brand new -removable bed wood to access everything (this is a must for any truck like this, some guys put shocks on bed, I like it to come all way out) -NO radio at this moment, could add one if need be (I never ever listen to radio in these trucks) -Read full description as I'm sure I missed some highlights. Also this truck has never seen a car show, so if that's your gig, its a fresh eye turner. I would trust this truck to travel all over the country. BODY- I saved this truck from being scrapped, which I love doing. However it did need extensive work. Almost every part on the metal needed something done to it. I built a whole new custom floor absolutely solid as can be. Has new inner and outer cowls and kick panels, cab corners I build from scratch, back lower portion of cab is replaced. Everything has been seam sealed, coated with chassis saver and top coated with Herculiner. Doors have new inner and outter skins have been coated inside. They are painted inside (yes there is paint on this truck!) I installed bolt on bear claw latches with keyless entry. New door felts rubber you name it. All glass is new except vent window on driver side. (You prolly didn't notice that one door has a vent and pass door doesn't. The driver door is not original door to the truck. I personally like having a vent on driver side and its so subtle most won't notice. New door and window handles. Firewall has been shaved and painted for a cleaner look (big fan of done interiors and engine bays on these trucks, SO many guys cut those corners). Inner fenders are painted and had metal work done. I made tons of patches for the rear fenders, undercoated everything. Everything you see has been coated underneath, even the hood. No rot anywhere. That is something alot of these trucks have, I'm not a fan of that. I like patina, but not rot. The truck realistically wouldn't be a bad paint candidate (I'd never do that to it) but I'm saying the panels are good. The grille is the ruffest part on this truck.. Bed is solid, made a new stake pocket on driver side. Oh speaking of bed, there is actually bed depth here, something alot of bagged trucks don't have. The bed wood slides out so you have access to all the suspension and air ride. Over all the body is very solid and well prepped for many years to come. I have over 150 hrs in the cab alone. The dash was completely removed and reconstructed do to severe damage, 70hrs in that. So behind dash and up in every nook has been treated for the rust. (again, most trucks here don't have that). There is no mud on this truck, all metal and skimmed with duraglas on some areas. ENGINE/Exhuast- this isn't a junkyard find or used greasy engine outta some beater. Seeings LS swaps are so popular, and I like them however.... This is still a touch of old school with the last of the sbc models before the LS. Its a full roller Vortec block with heads. Completely rebuilt, stayed at original bore. Full roller means, even the timing chain is a roller, rockers, cam, lifters. Has new King racing bearings (top of line stuff). New GM performance hotcam, with 1.6 rockers total lift is .525 on intake and exhaust. Cam has been degreed and is 112 lobe sep. New timing chain, cover, balancer, moly rings, oil pump, fuel pump with regulator, HEI 65k volt distributor, new MSD wires, plugs. High rise aluminum intake. ARP bolts throughout. Heads have 7/16 studs with roller rockers, new springs, new valve seals. New finned oil pan. Static compression of 9.5 to 1. Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, electric choke. New aluminum water pump, brackets, 120 amp alt with lifetime warranty. Very cool feature is the pulley system. Its a rare serpentine style that runs just like the v pulleys do. PWS is all new, but is ran off vbelt. I can go on and on. Can even send you links to some very similar builds. I guesstimate around 400hp. I hate when guys say its "cammmed" and that's all they tell you. I built the engine so I know truly what is up. It pulls hard past 6k no problem Idles great, starts right up. I'v installed and air fuel ratio gauge, something I do on all my SBC's. I like knowing what the engine is up to, so its a great gauge to have. I also run a Vac gauge inside, again great tool to have in knowing what the engine is doing. I rarely see guys on here with those two gauges that alone will help you really tune an engine. It has FULL stainless exhaust 2.5". That means headers, all pipe flex pipe and mufflers are stainless. They aren't polished but they are stainless. The headers are 304 stainless and pipes are 409 stainless (409 does show surface rust to some degree). So that being said, I'll never build a truck again without stainless, its worth the extra money and should last dang near forever.(almost all these trucks don't offer that). Sounds great, not obnoxiously loud either. ITruck stays cool about 170 all day, 190 in hot traffic. Has new lifetime warranty 3 core aluminum radiator, all new hoses. As mentioned got 20mpg on a 100 mile trip. I'd say average would be 17mpg city and highway. SUSPENSION- Like a lot of these trucks, yes I am using a late model GM frame. I don't need to get into a whole debate on any traditional enthusiasts out there. This isn't just plopped onto a crusty frame and drivetrain, or hacked together. Infact is a lot more work and not far cheaper to build them this way. Lots of time and money into the frame. As I'm a fan of original frame builds too, I will say late model frames are way stronger and have great geometry. I've even went above and beyond and boxed the frame halfway back, even added plates to the pearches where the lower link bars mount. The rear is bagged with the Ridetech kit, wasn't my first choice but at the time I didn't have access to electric for a 220 welder. The kit is nice but expensive. Its bolt on but I also welded it on. (got 220 shortly after I got the kit) Up front I used speedway tubular upper control arms, I like them ( just have to keep greased like balljoints etc). I used the stock lower arms but put poly bushings in them. The air ride system is top of the line. Its not some cheapo ebay kit. Running Airlift 2600lb bags up front, sway bar with poly bushings, Firestone sleeve bags in rear, half inch flex line DOT rated, Accuair VU4 manifold (aka electric valves) biggest name in the biz. Accuair 5 gallon aluminum tank filled by two Viair 450 compressors. All controlled up front with the AVS 9 way electric controller. Running all PTC fittings most are ASCO, running two SMC air filters. Has dual needle gauges up on the custom console I made that houses the controller, so easy view of the front and rear bag pressures. Has tank pressure gauge under dash by steering, easy to see but out of plane view. All gauges light up. I haven't hooked it up yet but you can also air up and down with the AVS REMOTE key fob that is used for the doors. All that would need done is a relay tapped in, very easy to do. Truck lays on running boards, max height is about 6" up front 5" in back. I ride about 4" off ground. Truck handles awesome I must say, very smooth and easy to drive. Everything has been stripped and coated with high gloss chassis saver (rust inhibitor) then top coated with an enamel paint. All new ball joints, tie rods you name it. Mostly all MOOG brand. Has belltech 2" drop spindles. Runs on 14" rims with new bias wide whites. 26" tall. Running a 4x4 blazer rear end with disc brakes 3.42 gears. TRANS, FUEL, BRAKES- I'm a huge fan of 5 speeds. Here is your chance to get a real hotrod folks. Very fun to drive. I have had a lot of guys ask me for an auto and I can't help to think I'm just not into autos, 5 speeds are too much fun. Trans is a NV3500 (most commonly referred to) out of full size trucks. I run the same trans in my 51' and have several lined up for future builds. It has a brand new stage 2 clutch from Phoenix friction. Wilwood master cylinder and pedal. Clutch is very easy on the foot. It has a brand new high HP driveshaft from southwest speed, moog ujoints. FUEL- brand new 20gal tank that I coated and top coated with herculiner, custom made beefy tank straps, new sending unit works with fuel gauge, no guessing on gas here) all new lines. Ran aluminum lines so rusting out is never an issue. Running mechanical fuel pump with regulator, no expensive electric pump to leave you stranded here. You'll see fuel filler in stock location in pics, but its just for looks. Fuel filler is in rear driver side behind fender. You can hardly notice it. Sure beats filling in the bed IMO. BRAKES- All new components here, no donor parts used. Stainless hoses up front and rear. Copper nickel line so rusting is never an issue. Up front has drilled and slotted Powerstop rotors, no cheap ebay ones. CPP big bore calipers, new MC and booster, rear has stock discs with ceramic pads. Braking is very good. Slight squeak on pass front I'm chasing still, should have that fixed. But again I'm really digging all disc brakes. The truck really just drives and stops awesome. INTERIOR/Wiring- really digging the interior, rarely to do you see these patina trucks with nice interiors. They add lots of time and money let me tell you. Custom vinyl bench seat. I only run late model benches so you can fold them forward. Behind seat is battery and wiring for air ride and some relays. Kill switch is ran under seat. I always run them for safety and security. Very easy to reach from driver seat. 3 point DOT rated seat belts, safer the better. I'll never run lap belts. I brought same material from seat onto the door panels. also the headliner and sunvisors (visors not in pics I know). As you can see everything is painted. Black carpet, used sound/heat barrier in entire cab. Not very noisy or hot. Dash is a long story I touched slightly on. Speaker assembly originally is not on a hinge, but I made it do so. Originally wanted radio behind it, axed that because I like being able to reach through that area to work under dash on wiring. You'll see what I mean. My FAVORITE part of the interior are the custom electric speedometer and tach. They appear to look stock but aren't. So unlike most these trucks, you have a speedo and tach, truly unique and time consuming to do. One of the only trucks with this custom combo. Speedo also has a trip meter, love it. Rest of gauges are down under dash in a row on a custom console I made. You can barely see it unless your actually the driver. So you have temp, oil, vac, volts and fuel. all light up and work. New glove box and lock, nice painted shifter, new rear view mirror, horn button located on dash ( not in pictures, swapped out since) high beam indicator on dash, another toggle switch on dash will run the mood lights for interior which are under dash. I also have a USB and cig port under dash. Original cig lighter works too. new ignition switch. new gas pedal, pedals are very easy to work, great leg room (I'm 6' and have no problems getting in or out) I have the wheel set at a perfect height. I used a vintage turn signal which I think looks cool. All new glass and rubber. Electric wipers, Just installed new heater, I don't care for AC or a radio to be honest. I can install radio if owner desires. We can discuss that if its and issue. WIRING- let me just say wiring is no joke. I ran a 21 circuit Rebel wire harness made in USA, located on driver side under dash. I spend tons of hours wiring. NO reused stuff here. I loomed almost every wire, labeled them all. I can talk a lot about all the wiring that went down but I'll spare you. doors are wired with actuators for the popping the claws. Air ride system took quite a bit of wiring. I ran a lot of weather pack connectors on the outside for easy and safe access to headlights etc. ALL grounds run to battery. All new battery wires. Dome light works, all interior lights work, all exterior lights work. I ran a few power and ground hubs for easy access for maintenance or future additions. I also have a toggle switch to turn compressors off and on, even though they have a pressure switch wired to auto shut off. I ran a kill switch inside cab for compressors as well, so you can easily kill power to them to work on anything pertaining to the compressors. Prolly forgetting a lot here but there are a ton of hours in the interior. Just about anything you can think of is new. OVERVIEW- hard to explain 800 plus hours and almost two years in just a few paragraphs. Hopefully the vids will help you out, also I can email you the build thread which is about 30 pages long. I have documented hours and receipts and they both went over my projected budget. Lot of time and money goes into these. Here is your chance to get a timeless hotrod for a way less shop rate than a big name shop, and no wait! This truck is reliable and fun to drive.. I've only focused on these trucks for five years straight. I have 7 AD trucks alone and some other 50's cars. My build list is long, the sale of this truck will help fund my next one. Very minor things I need to do and can explain to buyer, I'm currently building a customer truck. So I'll stop on that project to do the very very minor wraps ups for hardtimes. Thanks and please email with any questions. [email protected]. P.S buyer will get some of my shop tees and coffee! We can arrange for shipment pick up in Titusville, PA or Pittsburgh. I'm still driving the truck, working on little things so I'd like the buyer to work with me on fine tuning any little touches before we ship it or pick it up. Here is your chance to own my pride and joy, a 1950 Chevy 3100 out of my personal collection. The car drives great and has 232 miles on the build since the air, intake, carb, tires, gauges, shifter and more where installed. This car catches attention everywhere it goes! The car is running, driving, stopping and ready to take you wherever you want to go. Everything on this truck is fully functional (lights, gauges etc). The car lays on the ground or picks up to make tight turns. The paint I would classify as "driver" quality. It is not a $20,000 paint job but it is good enough to show off at any show or cruise as you can see from the pictures! There is no rust or damage of any kind of the frame or body. The air system is done very well and does not leak air. Below I have listed the modifications. If you have any questions, please contact me. The only reason I'm selling is to fund my other builds.
