PTO Side Dump - Original Wood Truck Body by Freeman Truck Bodies - La Salle, CO327ci High Torque V8 (32,XXX original miles)4 speed manual2 speed axleManual steering Unmolested project truck.60-66 body style. This classic truck has lived happily its whole life in Colorado. I bought it from a landscaper who used to use it for hauling tons of timber before they switched to trailers. The original owner was a farmer in Ft. Lupton, CO. The original paint color was a blueish-green. It was repainted black relatively recently. The body is very straight and in great condition, with the exception of a dent on the top back of the cab and one smaller dent in the wheel well by the step. Glass is in excellent condition. The aftermarket tach doesn't work. Everything else is fully functional including the side dump, though I haven't really messed with it. I'm not sure of the quantity and quality of the hydraulic fluid. Runs and drives. So far, I have replaced the master cylinder and swept off the bed. No other tinkering. 1958 Chevrolet 3100 series four wheel drive pickup truck. Model number 3154 designates factory 4x4. Older restoration of an original Colorado truck. Originally a ranch truck from around Telluride Colorado. Factory installed NAPCO 4x4 system with aftermarket Selectro lockout hubs. NAPCO kits were used on Chevrolet pickups until 1960 when GM came out with their own four wheel drive system. In 1958 you could order it from the factory or have the dealer up fit your truck. Factory 4x4 trucks had 7 leaf springs in front and 8 leaf springs in the rear. They also had a 5600 GVW rating. This truck has the original drive train with the exception that it has been repowered with a V8 at some point. The V8 code shows it is supposedly a Chevrolet 327. I'm not sure. It has dual exhausts and headers. It still retains the original drum brakes with an after market power booster added for better braking. The brakes are touchy and it stops quickly. New stuff: Four new Wheelsmith 16 inch wheels. All new lug nuts. Four new radial tires. Four new reproduction hubcaps. New clutch. New power drum brake booster. New tail lights. Recent Optima battery. New rear pinion seal. New fluids. New battery tray. Recent reupholstered seat with lap belts. Other small parts to numerous to mention. It has a late model AM/FM stereo radio designed to fit in the original dash and it works. Overall Condition: This is not a show truck! It is a nice old daily driver. I bought it from a man who claims he was the second owner. He took pretty good care of the truck. Truck runs drives and stops very well. It will go 60 mph down the highway. The previous owner drove it all over southwest Colorado pulling a small fishing boat. Paint is what I would call a thirty footer at best. It should be repainted to be really nice. I was able to bring the shine back using the three step Maguires system with help from their tech line. It looks good as a work truck but has numerous scratches, some scrapes, rock chips etc. The rear fender have stone pings from driving on rural gravel roads. See photo. The tailgate is aftermarket and appears to have been painted without a proper primer so the paint is chipping. See photo. Bed could use new wood and new strips but is serviceable as is. All the lights and gauges work. Four wheel drive works although I have not used it off road. It has the original NAPCO front axle and Spicer 23 transfer case. Transfer case tag show it was rebuilt at some point by Stewart and Stevinson in Grand Junction Colorado. Interior paint is flaking in spots but the interior is nice overall and has a new rubber floor mat and rubber brake and clutch pedal pads. I have had several of these trucks and I think I have it priced fairly for what it is. Clear Colorado title in my name. Truck stays here until funds clear. Wheels laying in truck bed are not included in sale. I can store it while you arrange shipping. Sold as is where is with no warranties implied or expressed.

This vehicle was bought originally by an individual who was meticulous in how the truck was maintained throughout its life. Deceased for some ten years, the owner purchased the truck in California and drove it throughout the southwest; finally settled in Colorado where the vehicle was garaged for the last ten years without any road experience. The truck is a classic with little if any dents, accidents or off road traveling. It is ready for road travel but not currently registered. The estate of the original owner is being divided up amongst his heirs and the truck is now in the hame of his eldest heir and awaits the new proud owner. Located in the Colorado Rockies, the vehicle can be bought with certifiable dollars whereby the pink slip is ready to go.....

1950 Chevrolet 1 Ton Panel Truck (3800) This panel is very complete and mostly original. It has the original 17" split rims with spare also. It will be a great one to restore as the extended panels are rare and more versatile than the shorter versions. These look nice restored and are really not around much anymore. Included is a clear title. The body is very solid and has little rust overall. The body is better than it looks. The old brush paint job that has faded but you might be able to Scotch-Brite it down to the original finish and have an awesome patina look since the white paint may have protected the original Lacquer. People are paying $$$$ for that aged look and this may be the vehicle to get it from. You can do a lot with these panels and have mobile businesses out of them or have sleeping quarters in the rear and use them for tow rigs for your show or drag car. They also make nice parts running rigs for businesses and you have a large space to put your business name on the side. MECHANICAL: This has what I believe is the original six cylinder and appears complete except for the air cleaner. The engine runs, and sounds good. The panel is not drivable though. The fuel system will need cleaned and complete tune-up and fluid changes. It has ran on a gravity feed tank just long enough to test all the gears. This is a 4-speed manual with granny low. Clutch works fine. No brakes. It most likely needs the master cylinder but they most likely will need other work. Rolls and steers. Tires hold air. Hubcaps in pics are the original style but NOT included. I borrowed them of a different rig of mine for the pics. From what I see, the drivetrain is usable but will need to be checked out and tuneup work done due to it sitting for years. BODY: The panel does need to be restored, but the body is very solid for a project and has little rust. The front floorpans have the usual rust that these years all seem to have. It is minor though compared to most pickups of this vintage. It's only in the foot area, not under the seats. New pans are available at lots of restoration places. Hood and front fenders are nice. Doors are nice also but have rust on the inner metal, on the bottom but verticle metal. This is flat metal and should be an easy fix. Rear quarters/side panels are nearly rust free but each side has a spot between the front fender and the door. This is the low rocker type area and is a common bad spot on these. This panel is better than others I've seen though. Patch panels would be easy to make, but may be available. Minor rust spot behind drivers rear fender. There is a dent above the rear doors that needs to be fixed. Its not major, but doors won't close right because of it. Jams are nice besides that area. Wheelhouses are nice. Frame is rust free. Firewall, dash, and header are fine. Tons of restoration parts are sold for these including new chrome grilles, bumpers, etc. making restoration cheap and easy. Some parts off pickups work also. Windshields are cracked, as are side windows. This is flat glass and easy to replace. Rear windows are gone. INTERIOR: Very little to mention here besides that the interior does have the original front seats which is nice. They have been reaching close to $1000 here on eBay. Dash area appears original and steering wheel. OVERALL:These panels look great fixed up and can be used to haul a variety of things or used for advertising. I've also seen many made into rods that have sleeping quarters in the back and they make great tow rigs for hotrods or racecars. They are cool to use for mobile businesses and sell t-shirts or whatever out of the back at cars shows. Park out if front of your rod shop with your name on the side. There is a lot of room for a big ad! This was the second 1 ton Panel I Purchased for my business. I was going to restore it and use it, but I decided to just go with one for the time being. I have dealt with these larger 1 Ton panels before and they are really pretty easy to work on. There is plenty of room and space to do all the restoration. Some parts can be difficult to find, but the good news is everything is on this one and really just needs to be cleaned/fixed up. The Truck is located in Longmont, CO 80504, very close to Boulder and Denver. It is at a storage yard on a car trailer. I will sell the whole truck/trailer set-up together or separate. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the trailer has 2 12,500lbs axles under it. The trailer is included with this auction. Let know if you have any questions. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS. IT IS USED, OLD, AND NEEDS RESTORATION. Most of the info provided was from the last owner. I have not actually inspected this vehicle myself, but I believe everything that was detailed by him is accurate.
