This truck is a Survivor. And the great part about eBay is that you can compare it and see if I’m full of it. I can date this truck back to 1974 when it was in Montana and was last titled before I resurrected her. (I have that voided title!) It’s sat, ran, sat some more in the 90’s to now, but she is back on the road for sure. A Running, Driving, Clear Title, Pulling down the highway at 55-60mph, 3-window. I use it to run errands with. I’ve been her owner for ~2 years now. I’ve probably put ~350 miles on it this year, so it’s been tested out and deemed reliable enough to take around. Relisted because of a non-paying buyer. Two other guys were in love with this thing and I had offers over this Buy it Now price, but I'd like to actually sell versus posting on ebay for everyone's enjoyment, so serious offers considered. I love things stock, so the reason I bought it was that everything looked like it’s been unmolested. And I kept it that way as best I could. Sure, I’ve done some work to it, and we’ll get into that, but it’s nothing major, and to repair and not replace. Now, I didn’t build the thing in 1947, so I will just have to do my best to describe it. This means it is as-is and comes with no warranty. I’m selling it because I need the garage space and have a kid on the way. I’m a sucker for patina, so I didn’t touch the paint except for a protectant coat. The purchaser will learn how I keep it protected without a clearcoat that could crack or peel. Clear can be good, but it can also not lay quite right on rusty metal. This is a matching numbers vin plate to the title. This truck is Titled In Idaho – Is clear and current – Is insured -Is in my name – Is ready to be transferred. I will let you know about everything I know. Good and bad. You will know what you’re getting into: Let’s go. Engine: 216ci straight 6. Stock engine as far as I can tell. It sat with oil in it for 10 years or so, we did a tune up, and she fired up. I haven’t taken off the head to see inside, so don’t know the internals. Mileage Unknown. Tune up: (Professional Shop Work) – plugs, distributor, hoses, brakes. Carter YF carb (not original), cleaned and rebuilt. (Professional Shop Work) New reconditioned generator. 6V system New Fuel Pump (Professional Shop Work) Original starter (or real old) Valve cover leaks some oil at the gasket (new gasket-Professional Shop Work). Old trucks do this. There is oil on the exterior of the pan too. Probably from turning into my driveway to hard to the left as that’s where the overflow / PCV is. Very small leak in my garage, so not a concern. I just changed the oil in it, and while it came out black, I didn't see any metal shavings, or anything to cause concern. Transmission: 3 on the floor, original I believe. This does leak some. But not enough to have to service very often. Old trucks do this. Stock Rear End, Very Small leak. Like 1 drop a week. Speedometer doesn’t work, I disconnected the cable from the speedometer and the cable doesn’t turn while rolling. The speedometer was tested out of the truck and it worked. I will include the sticker set that I used on the speedometer – It has the oil gauge stickers. Handbrake: Lever on the Floor. I thought it was cool. Does hold the truck. Other Mechanicals: Gas tank located under the bed, NOT in the cab. The gas tank was removed, cleaned and re-installed. No sealer was put in, it seemed to be still in good shape. Fuel lines blown out. New Master Cylinder and everything rubber with brake lines, wheel cylinders (Professional Shop Work) Radiator: Original. Flushed. (Professional Shop Work). All new hoses. I spliced some wires back together after mice had eaten away at some of the original cloth cable. Otherwise, this is stock 6V components. Horn doesn’t work for some reason. I swear it did 2 years ago. New Battery 1/19/15. Interior: New Glass all around. (Professional Shop Work), original frames, new cloth like window frame seat. Note that the window glass is getting a few small scratches from rubbing on something while down. Rolling the windows up/down feels a bit like you’re taxing the mechanism inside, but it was lubricated and looked at (Professional Shop Work) Door Panels, headliner: Gray. Done by myself, not professionally. I have the drivers sunvisor installed. Passenger in box, not installed. Door Latches worked on (Professional Shop Work), but the driver door you have to close real lightly to latch tight. Safety latch catches fine in all manners. Door lines look good. Missing driver side lower panel. Dome Light Works. Heater does not work. Hoses to it hold fluid fine. Leads me to believe it’s either electrical or the heater fan? Floor Boards have some rust. This is the only place that I see rust holes. The rest of the photos try to show you that they are superficial and surface. Gauges: Fuel: goes to full when ignition on. Oil Pressure: Seems to move when running. Temperature: Doesn’t move. Battery: Seems to work when on. Note: Working is different than accurate. Speedometer: doesn’t work. Key: The key only gives power when in the up position. I believe normally they should give it in the up and right position. Exterior: Bed: Cedar Fencing. Layed over pressure treated 5/8” plywood for strength. Bed Rails: Knotty Alder pieces assembled by myself. These two jobs aren’t professional, as it’s not a show truck. But it does help the look IMO and should last. Powder coated black stock rims. This is cool. Hubcaps: One doesn’t match, but all are old and worn. Headlights work on low and bright. Steering/Driving/ Other: Brand New BF Goodrich Long Trail TAs. Still have the whiskers on the rubber. Drives straight. It’s not as precise as a mustang but it will stay in the lane without much work. There is no play in the steering wheel, it does not feel like there are loose pieces in the steering that need tightened. I have that voided 1974 Montana Title, and lots of receipts for parts. The right rear Shackle to the leaf spring is slightly bent. Doesn't seem to affect much, but I will include a replacement shackle that I bought but didn't get to. I also have a photobucket with more photos, and some videos of the engine running. Message me and let me know if you'd like to see that web page. Things as they come to me: A) There is no real exhaust, just a rusty old muffler that is attached by a pipe with holes in it. This is needed, but currently just makes the truck sound a little louder and throat-ier. B) The right rear brake has been a little tighter/sticking some. At low speeds and under braking it has skidded a few times recently. Probably an adjustment, but that started popping up lately. C) The left window doesn't roll all the way down. Gets about 2/3 of the way and reaches a stop of something. The right (passenger) doesn't do that. D) Both windows sometimes don't stay 100% up after driving a while. May drop 1/2" or so. E) Throttle pull not connected to anything as this carb doesn't have a throttle advance on it. And if you’re buying the thing to restore, well ignore most of that, and get it down to bare metal. Currently Located in Hailey, ID. Phone number available via ebay messaging. Most likely you’re looking for a specific truck and it’s probably not going to be in your neighbor’s backyard. So if you’re going to ship it, it doesn’t matter where it’s at. I will help with coordinating with transportation once paid in full. A deposit of $400 is required within 2 days. Full payment due in 7. Non-payment will result in the loss of your deposit. I do this over ebay because everyone is more protected that way. I can store this for up to 30 days after the auction ends. After that, I will charge 10$ per day to store it. On Sep-08-15 at 08:18:02 PDT, seller added the following information: There is one area that I think is not shown well in the photos and needs some more information. The drivers side front fender, lower, looks like it has a dent in one of the photos. This is not really a dent, but instead the form of the sheetmetal when built. BUT there is a break in the sheetmetal that's not shown well there (due to the lack of photos I'm allowed to put up on the auction). The break is about 8" long. There are 3 other smaller (1-2") breaks in the sheetmetal as well on the same fender. I looked around the truck and there are a couple of other small cracks. One in the left rear fender and one in the right rear fender which has some rivets in it holding it together, but the break wasn't ever that big. Photos on the photobucket, available by sending me a message.

1949 Chevy 3100 TruckWe have a beautiful 1949 Chevy truck for sale. It has had a lot of work done to it but needs a few things done to finish her off. Equipped with a manual 3 speed transmission and a straight 6 cylinder engine. They are both believed to be out of an 80's model Chevy. The mileage on either is unknown. They could have both been rebuilt as far as I know. They both run fantastic. The engine starts up every time in the first push of the button and the transmission shifts great. With new wheels, tires, shocks and master cylinder, battery, fuel line and more this truck runs and stops very good and comfortable. This truck was being restored in stages. The interior and the bed needs finished off. All the body work was done other than the inside of the bed. The inside of the bed was sprayed just for looks but not clear coated. There is some rust on the front rail of the bed that needs fixed before painting it properly. The rest of the truck was done nice and the owner just want to get it on the road before finishing the wood and paint on the bed of the truck. The cab and fenders look good. The running boards are not perfect but also look very good from five feet. If you are trying to find imperfections in the body work, you can find a few little dings. There is a little bit of rust on the interior when you open the doors. This is not a show truck but a fun driver. There are still some dings and little dents on the bed also. Some of the original wood is still in the bed but it has a sheet of plywood over it. It is not a high end $10,000 paint job but it looks good from 5 feet away. If you look close you can see a little orange peel and there is one little run right under the drivers door handle. The truck does not have the original tail gate either. It truck does come with the white and blue paint to finish the bed or do any touch ups in the future. Gauges work other than the speedo and all the lights work as they should. The wipers are not hooked up and either is the heater. Again, with out the original engine and in this color this truck is not for the purist and this is not being sold as a show truck, but a very good looking and very nice driving 1949 truck. The glass and seals were all replaced when the paint was done a few years back. The passengers side glass is cracked but the truck comes with a brand new piece of glass for it. Also, it comes with an extra corner window in case one ever breaks. Both doors shut nice and solid and the hood is easy to open and shut. The frame and undercarriage are solid. The interior floor is very solid but the seat needs re upholstered and the head liner is missing one piece (probably just replace the hole head liner). It needs carpet as well. I don't think I'm missing anything but please feel free to email any questions and leave your # if you would like a call back. This is a 1957 Chevy 4x4 that I bought to drive and restore. By no means is it perfect. the paint has chips, the bed floor has cracks in the wood, and not everything works. Oh ya and if you look hard enough you will even find some rust. But it runs good and drives like an old truck. "No power steering" The interior is clean and the tires are good. The drivetrain is in working condition and has a 1980 350 engine and trans. My guess is the 4x4 is the same which was installed like the old napco conversion, not all cut up! Keep in mind this truck is NOT a restored truck!!! But it is a good start you can drive and have fun with, that looks pretty COOL!!!!! My reason for selling is i found a real napco. OK...If you are not serious about buying this truck please do not waste our time! There is facebook or twitter for that. Thank you
