Read the entire description please!!! Original 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Station Wagon, Factory Air Conditioning(not working), Tinted Windows, 283 V8 2Bbl, 3spd Manual on the Column, Two Row Seating. Has manual drum brakes and steering! Car was purchased from a gentleman that had stored it since 1986 but it originally came from Arizona hence the a/c and tinted windows. Its all original and unmolested and would be a good rat rod project with the current patina and rust or would be a great foundation for a restoration. I went through the mechanicals, new brakes, wheel cylinders, drums, rear brake line, emergency brake cable, tune up, cap and rotor, plugs, wires, fuel pump, and installed new dual exhaust head pipes with just mufflers. The engine runs fine but does smoke some. I removed the a/c compressor and brackets but they are included. The blue interior is original but the front seat has been changed to an aqua color seat with the rear seat being the original blue. I do have another rear matching aqua seat also that comes with the car. The interior has new carpet and kick panels but needs a headliner, end lace, and the lower door panels fixed as they are coming apart. I was just going to put blue carpet on the bottom of the door panels as the top portions are not that bad for their age. All the windows including the tailgate work as they should. The exterior has rust, dents, scratches, and lots of Patina. The tailgate has lots of rust, has been repaired before but does open and close with no problems. Has some rust holes below the taillights on both sides but not bad underneath the tailgate area. I added the luggage rack and rear wagon splash guard since it already had a few other era correct accessories already. DOES NOT COME WITH THE RALLY WHEELS and Tires!! I have the factory original deep 14" rims with old tires but no hubcaps. I do have some other spare parts that will be included with the purchase and some other parts that can be bought separate as well!! These are the only pictures I have because I would rather have someone come look at it in person to make their own assessment of the condition since every ones opinion varies. The car is not perfect and is what it is, but looks cool, has the right amount of patina, and is a good start for someone who wants a car they can drive as they work on it. The car has a clear Md title not in my name, is sold as-is and where is, and comes with no warranty or guarantee. Non refundable Paypal deposit is required if someone purchases the vehicle per Ebay! Please don't ask me for a 100 pictures of every little rust spot or problem area because I want someone that's local or somewhat close to look it over in person and make their own assessment of the car or send a reputable inspection company to come look it over. Thanks and good luck! Shipping is not available on my end and is solely up to the buyer! Bring a trailer and save on transporting! Email with questions and concerns if your a serious buyer only!

SIMPLY ONE OF THE NICEST WAGONS AROUND, WITH AN UNDERSIDE THAT SHOWS AS PRETTY AS THE TOP! PLEASE CALL ME AT 941-286-0889 WITH QUESTIONS. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DETAILED!!! IT HAS BEEN WASHED, VACUUMED, AND WIPED DOWN WITH TURTLE WAX QUICK SHINE PRIOR TO BEING PHOTOGRAPHED. IMAGINE HOW AMAZING IT WILL LOOK WHEN YOU TAKE THE TIME TO DETAIL AT HOME! OVERVIEW Everybody has a Wagon story. If it isnt of you in the back of one making faces at the car behind you while Dad drove, maybe it is throwing the surfboards on the roof to go down to the beach, or using it like the original SUV it was, and push starting your drag car while hauling all the stuff you needed for race day. Whatever the memory, Wagons will forever live in the pantheon of cool. This particular 1955 Chevy Handyman has recently undergone a complete body-off-frame restoration and upgrade just 1,700 odd miles ago, and is proven, reliable, and ready to show or go wherever you want! Please take a moment to read the detailed listing, look over the 100 extra-large detailed photos, and then call me to make it yours before someone else does it first! THIS VEHICLE HAS A CLEAN AND CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE AND IS READY FOR WORLDWIDE SALE AND EXPORT. FOR VEHICLE FINANCING, APPLY ONLINE AT: WWW.JJBEST.COM WWW.LIGHTSTREAM.COM DESCRIPTION The first thing to catch your eye on this wagon is the fantastic Sunset Red Metallic paint. It is so clean, glossy, slick, and wet, you would think it just came out of the spray gun! The finish really is mirror-like, as you can see in the photos, and the entire car was painted off the frame including the pans for a super clean finished product. After 1,700 odd miles, it may show a tiny little stone chip, scuff, or minor blemish that ANY car would have, but there are NO dents, NO dings, NO large chips, and NO real issues with the finish whatsoever. Any minor marks are less than a few millimeters in size, and are inconsequential to the overall appearance of the car. The cream white roof shows just a perfectly, and really gives the car a completed look. The body is VERY straight, with no sign of patch panels, bondo, chicken wire, or beer cans to be found. All of the gaps are nice, and everything closes and opens well too. There is NO sign of rust or rot on the car, and you can run a 3x3 magnet over the entire painted surface and it will stick like glue. The bright work, trim, and chrome on the car is in fantastic condition, and shows shiny and bright from every angle. Emblems are in very good condition, and are original to the car for an added bonus! The custom grill looks amazing behind the bumperettes, and really gives the car a clean look. Glass, and there is PLENTY of it, is either new or like-new all the way around, along with all the associated rubber trim, mouldings, fuzzies, regulators, and trim. The car has a fantastic stance thanks to dropped spindles and springs, and it rides on massive 17 inch VISION Wheels Legend series show-chromed 5 spoke rims that still look like new after just 1,700 miles. They are wrapped up in NEXEN Radial L3000 radial tires size 235/45ZR17 up front and 245/45ZR17 in the back. The tires are in perfect condition, with no damage or wear issues. Overall, the exterior of this car is a solid 8.25 out of 10. Once you get it home and detail it to get all the nooks and crannies, it will be a solid 9 in every way! Under the hood, the car gets power from a completely rebuilt GM 350ci V8 motor that was redone from the cast iron block with dual valves, aluminum heads, roller rockers, mild street cam, and all the best in pro-level components throughout. The car was built for long-haul reliability and ease of maintenance and upkeep, so it is not a radical, high horsepower build. I would estimate that the car has somewhere in the low 300hp range from seat of the pants feel, but it has never been formally dyno tested. It starts with a flip of the key, idles cleanly, and is ready to roll at a moments notice. It is equipped with a Edelbrock 650cfm square flange carb with non-egr electric choke, so power comes on smooth and sure. The car also has plenty of guts on tap for burnouts and other cruise night shenanigans if that is your cup of tea. The 700R4 overdrive automatic snicks into gear with ease, and the car accelerates cleanly and smoothly up to speed. The overdrive is set up perfectly on the car, and works with the GM 8.5 inch 10 bolt rear ends highway-friendly gearing to allow triple digit cruising speeds without much of a fuss. This is the kind of car you can take to the local cruise night, or run it on the Hot Rod Power Tour just as easily. The engine bay itself is super clean, and ready for a car show with a chrome compressor, brake booster, alternator, and radiator shroud all gleaming and bright, PLUS a ton of billet including flame cut valve covers, ball-milled air cleaner, and MARCH Performance pulleys! Firewall, inner fenders, and a whole lot more is either painted in Sunset Red Metallic, black, or has been powdercoated. All of the other components are top quality pieces, and they work together to provide a reliable and issue-free powertrain for your peace of mind. A new CPP power steering rack makes turning a breeze, with steering feel as nice as a new car. Vintage supplied EVERY PART of the heating and Air Conditioning system from the condenser, evaporator, and lines all the way to the OEM style dash control. It all works together PERFECTLY to provide whatever you need at the slide of a lever. The engine bay looks fantastic, and like the rest of the car is only a formal detail away from being a trophy winner! The car does not leak, weep, or otherwise mark its territory, and it has been driven over 1,700 miles in a mix of highway and local driving since completion with only the minor little adjustments all fresh cars need the first few hundred miles. I would not hesitate to fly in and drive this car home anywhere in the lower 48, as I feel more than confident it would make the trip. It does NOT run hot, thanks to a gigantic, custom made aluminum radiator with extra-large transmission cooler, supersize fan, and well thought out design. The car pretty much lives at 188 degrees, and in my time with it can say it has never gone over that, even running in the hot sun for 40 minutes while I took all the pictures. It just does NOT GET HOT. The engine makes no odd noises, and exhibits no sign of any issues. Transmission operates flawlessly, and shows no sign of any issues either. The chassis on the car is a mix of old and new, with original frame rails mated to a full custom front end with tubular upper and lower control arms, drop spindles, front disc brakes, and coil-overs up front, and the aforementioned GM 10-bolt with shocks, rear drums, and lowering springs out back. The frame, front end components, and drive shaft are black, while the rest of it has been sprayed in the same gorgeous Sunset Red Metallic as the top of the car! After being driven 1,700 miles, the chassis does show some stone chips, marks, dirt, and grime, but like the rest of the car, it will detail out to look even nicer than it already does. There is a good bit of chrome and shiny stuff on the underside, and it all looks really good as you can see in the photos of the car on the lift. Custom aluminum exhaust system sounds fantastic through the REAL Flowmaster mufflers, and it has throaty rumble that tells everyone they better turn and see what is coming. No expense was spared in making sure that the car started, drove, handled, and stopped just as good as it looked, and it certainly does. It rides super nice, with the perfect blend of cushy ride and handling prowess. It handles like C5 Corvette, with great feel in the wheel, and no odd wander or tracking issues. Brakes drag the car down from speed with no pulling, wander, or excessive fade. Overall, it is a super nice set up, and will make the next owner VERY happy. Kind of saved the best for the last, because the interior of this wagon is just beautiful from front to back! First, while the car was completely apart, everything was painted in the same Sunset Red Metallic finish as the exterior, then treated to layers of sound and heat proofing before anything else was done. Next, new carpet went in, and it still looks fantastic today. Seats were completely redone in neutral hides, with custom front buckets and rear bench, all trimmed to work with one another. Front seats move fore and aft, and have easy-access flip forward arms to allow ease of access for back seat passengers. With plenty of room for everyone, the car can ACTUALLY HOLD FIVE ADULTS in comfort, which is a rarity in most classics. There are no signs of any damage, rips, or issues on the upholstery, and it shows wonderfully from all angles. Seat belts are included for safety sake, and they function like they should. The custom fabricated center console is beautiful to look at and has a large storage space under the arm rest, twin cup holders, the center A/C vents, and the giant 7 inch control screen for the stereo system. More on it later! Custom under-dash panels to the left and right house additional A/C vents, and lend the car a polished look. Dash itself is original steel, but has been fitted with a custom ball-milled billet aluminum dash insert that carries a large AutoMeter PRO COMP series Speedometer with trip and odometer on the left, and a matching tachometer on the right. A carbon fiber style center band runs the horizon of the dash, and is fitted with the rest of the matching gauges for WATER, OIL, FUEL, and VOLTS. All appear to be functioning as they should. The OEM style clock is non-functional, but looks fantastic and is set at 5 so you can always run out for a quick beer! A GM style iDidit chrome column looks perfect in the car, and has chrome shift arm, turn signal and tilt levers, top mount gear selection indicator, and is topped with a LeCarra style billet wheel wrapped in complimenting leather. OEM controls remain in place for the headlamps, electric wipers, ignition switch, and A/C controls, while the ashtray opens to show the button for the back-up camera. Kick panels, door panels, and rear valance panels get the same luxurious upholstery, and it all looks fantastic in the car. Custom LED bar lights were installed under the dash to light the foot wells up front, and they look amazing, especially at night! Door panels stay clean thanks to hidden power window switches, so all you see up front are the speakers with silver surrounds, and the OEM style door opener and vent window roller. Two more speakers grace the back seat side panels, with a couple more hidden in the car. The system sounds AMAZING!!!!!! The 7 inch Power AkoustiK display panel fills the center console nicely, and lets you choose from NAVIGATION, Bluetooth audio, AM-FM, streaming audio, and more, and provides the largest back-up camera view I have ever seen! It is easy to figure out, all touch screen capable, and comes with a wireless remote for the backseat drivers in your world! Sound is crisp, clean, and so full that you would swear you were at a concert when you play your favorite song! The visors, headliner, and rear view mirror are all OEM style, and look fantastic in the car! The functional clamshell doors at the back of the car open to reveal a ton of storage space, including the empty spare tire well with cover. Use it for what you‘d like, as it has PLENTY of room. The interior on the car has a real factory finished look to it, and no corners were cut in creating a one of a kind custom look for this incredible car. If you are currently on the market for an ultra-cool station wagon that you could drive daily, show monthly, and win trophies and awards with all at the same time, this is probably the car for you. It is the perfect melding of reliability, ease of upkeep, and phenomenal looks and performance all wrapped up in an iconic body style. In the area? Come see it. If not, fly down here for a personal showing! I am willing to bet that the first person who comes here to see it in person will buy it. IT IS TITLED AS A 1955 CHEVY WAGON. MAKE AN OFFER! 1955 Chevrolet two door station wagon called the “Handyman”, which is a cousin of the “Nomad.” Enthusiast and purist can list out all the differences between the two models so I will spare myself the embarrassment of trying to name them. Just know that it is a rare car and like all tri-5 Chevy’s, it is a piece of art and a testament to American Muscle. Original California car, body off the frame rotisserie restoration completed in August of 2013, to include complete frame and body coatings, restoration of the interior and the person that did the restoration re-motored the car with a 400CI SBC and a 700R4 transmission. I re-motored the car again with a 2014 LS3 and 6L80E six speed automatic transmission. This was completed in October of 2014. More details below. Note the transmission is set up for paddle shifts, however I elected not to install them. If you wanted to install paddle shift you can buy the kit and the shifters just "plug in" to two wiring harnesses external of the transmission casing. No rewiring has to be done This is a beautiful example of a classic tri-5 Chevy resto-mod, pro-street/pro-touring vehicle. I have combined classic American styling with state of the art technology and reliability. This is a 60 year old car that has been taken down and rebuilt completely, with a drive train that is brand new (less than 700 miles on drive train. Break in oil changed 7/7/15) Car has a total of 4,300 miles since restoration. I purchased the car in November of 2013 at a classic car auction here in Houston. The previous owner had purchased the car from California. He then performed a complete body off of the frame restoration of the car taking several years to complete. He media blasted and coated the frame, stripped and painted the body inside and out in 2009 Chevrolet “Victory Red”. The brakes were upgraded to four wheel disc, and the entire suspension was lowered two inches. Next 17” Boyd Coddington aluminum mag wheels were added along with BF Goodrich tires. The interior was reworked with a light tan color, from the headliner to the new front bucket seats. The original rear seat was reused and recovered with leather to match the front buckets. A new center console and B&M shifter were also added to complete the interior. The previous owner then installed a new “IDIDIT” chrome steering column with tilt wheel, a DAKOTA digital dash, VINTAGE AIR HVAC system, power steering and power brakes. My interest in purchasing a classic car was a child hood dream of course, but I also wanted to purchase something that was not “run of the mill” to take to car shows and to take my kids to eat on Sunday afternoons. Safety and reliability being the top priorities in the car that I chose, I chose this one for its rarity and safety options (Power steering, power brakes, four wheel disc brakes, etc.) Add to it the new interior (Power driver’s seat, and all digital dash) with an A/C system makes for a safe, and comfortable cruiser and the KIDS LOVE IT! When I purchased the car I already had planned to do an LS3 conversion, in January of 2014, I purchased a new 2014 6.2L LS3, 6L80E transmission, computers, harnesses (had to have the harness custom built) and complete conversion kit from CPP.com. The conversion kit included new Hooker long tube 1 5/8”headers, motor mounts for the LS motor, transmission cross-member, new oil pan and tube. In addition to this I also purchased a complete new fuel system to include fuel pump, fuel regulator, new braided fuel lines and fuel level indicator. During the conversion, I had new brackets made for the A/C compressor and alternator that were milled from high grade aluminum, had the exhaust custom made (Magnaflow mufflers), had a new drive shaft made, fitted and balanced, as well as a new custom air intake. I had to add a new transmission cooler, oil cooler and the associated plumbing for each. I elected to keep the motor and transmission unmodified in any way for reliability purposes. The only additions to the motor are the custom exhaust, and air intake. I had the motor and transmission professionally tuned (of course) and we are now putting out well over 450 HP at the flywheel. This type of power with the six-speed automatic is downright addicting! The acceleration characteristics are without hesitation and difficult to describe. (Note: this is not for your teen aged kids or grandkids to borrow on Saturday night!) This car stays garage kept and under a cover at all times. I drive it occasionally to dinner or to a car show, and on Sundays when the weather is nice. With this application, I retained the reliability and peace of mind that it can be driven several hundred miles at a time with the A/C running and not have any issues what so ever. For me performance needs to be balanced with style and reliability! One feature this motor has that I elected to keep is the DOD system (displacement on demand). This is a computer controlled option that when the car is at highway speeds and cruising the computer only uses 4 of the eight cylinders until more demand is placed on the motor. This increases your highway fuel mileage to about 26-28 MPG. While I am not concerned with the cost of fuel, it is always nice to save money anywhere that you can. Add to that less stops for filling up when taking a longer range trip. If the new owner would rather the car not have this option it is easily switched off by my mechanic with his tuning software. I have a CLEAR TEXAS TITLE in my name and in my hand. The car is ready to sell. I will be more than happy to meet with anyone who is interested in the car, take pictures or answer questions, however I do ask that you be SERIOUS and do not waste your time or mine. I will assist in shipping the vehicle; however I cannot ship it myself. If you intend to pay for this vehicle in any form other than CASH then that form of payment will have to clear my credit union before the car leaves my possession, no if’s and’s or but’s about it. By the way, cash is a perfectly acceptable form of payment so feel free to show up with a briefcase full. Please make an offer of exactly how much you would pay for it, before doing so I will ask that you do your research and see how much money I have invested in this machine. I am buying a new house and intend to use the money for the down payment. I would never sell it if it werent for this reason. If you have any questions or if you want to make an offer please contact me directly via email [email protected] I do not care to trade the car, I cannot take installments or payments, and I cannot hold the car for you. I do not need help selling the car, and I know a scam artist when I see one so please move on.
