(cheaper this time because im aggravated. OK that's off my chest. :) My 57 Chevy is up for sale. Too many cars and not enough space. I purchased this car about 3 years ago. The car was converted from a 4 door to a 2 door. (Registered as a two door) The front door pillars were moved back 6 inches and the car has doors from a 55 2 door car. The body is fairly straight and wouldn't take too much to finish. The engine is a 250 straight six from a Chevelle. Runs great!! Took family on 200 mile trip at end of summer no problems. Gas mileage is great. Ive upgraded the front brakes to disc from Tom's Classic. New Gas tank and sending unit plus filler neck (above half tank there is a weep from new seal....I gave up on it so I always run about 5 gallons on fillup). New Windshield, Driveshaft, Rear wheel bearings/Seals, New tires (2013) New Wiper Arms/Blades. New ball joints plus front end alignment. Lights/blinkers all function. Speedometer is not hooked up. Original heater core missing. Blower works if you put power to it. Interior is beat up. I lost the car keys and now its on a toggle switch. The Trunk has an old saw blade I made to unlock for access. The passenger hood hinge is weak. The rear Trunk helper spring is broken so trunk feels heavy but opens and closes so ive left it alone. bottoms of doors have sheet metal patch. Car is a fun rat rod.....far from perfect but im not selling it for much....way less than I have into it. Everyone who has put money into a car knows this! On Nov-29-15 at 15:07:37 PST, seller added the following information: Some questions came up......I didn't mention the rear windows, they are plexi glass and do not roll up or down. Just for show. The original color of this car was India Ivory/Shadow Gray. It was painted black with a white top in the 70’s, and the paint coat looks beautiful. I am listing my 1956 Chevy 2 Door 210 Post Car I have owned and driven this car for 8+ years and she has never let me down or given me any problems at all. It has nearly flawless paint as well as the chrome and interior. This car shines inside and out. It has a mildly built up 350 CI motor with a 472 lift cam and a Holley 4 barrel Has a great sounding dual exhaust. The interior has a early 70's looking pattern on the seats and door panels with some nice custom upgrades such as chrome glove box and ash tray doors, upper doors are chrome. No power anything, it's all get up and go and this car actually moves along pretty good. 70-80 on the highway with no problem. The only thing I've always wanted to do is add front disc brakes although the 4 way drums stop as they should. Light, blinkers all that stuff works as it should. This is a beautiful 1953 Chevrolet Belair old-school custom, which is very rare. This car is an older frame-off build. It was in a Florida collector's garage for many years and is still in excellent condition. There are no bubbles or cracks in the paint. It is a base/clear coat paint. For the perfectionists, there is an area of waviness on the driver's side above the fender skirt (shown by arrow in one picture). It's visible only at certain angles. I think the pictures I took show the true quality of the body. It's nice! Engine is a 327cu.in. Transmission is a TH350 automatic (pan gasket has leak right now). Car was professionally chopped, lowered, shaved, frenched, and customized. It has air shocks in the rear w/compressor in the trunk. The car will raise up to drive onto a trailer. It has drum brakes, w/dual master cylinder. Power steering. All windows operate properly, as do the wipers and lights. Brand new www radials. New brakes.
